Poor Wildseed is probably getting bombarded with messages right now. :) Hmm, I wonder if the spell check has anything to do with the browser you're using. I'm using chrome. Are you sure the spell check works in "post quick reply"? Yup, just type the word in between ":" or simply copy-paste it from the "more emoticons" list. Here, have a

Yvyb (damn, I must remember to manually add the name of the person I'm replying to)
My suggestion then would be for you to write your posts in quick reply mode (thus making use of the spell check), and then simply add links, emoticons etc in the advance editor.

Macha you're such a sweetheart! But my spell check defiantly doesn't work in advanced. Also, the "other icons" can you just type the words/ symbols actually this is a test thread so I'll just have a go :0)

Finally thought to post here. The spell check funtionality isn't complied with for this site. I have spell check throughout
all of my Mac based programs and browser but some websites and blogs are independant of that.
Ah Macha have you not seen that! It's on a thread here by Aegon. Anyhoo, Yes It works in quick reply . I works on everything I do online except the advanced edit
So long as people can imbed images and youtube, might be a good idea to have some guidelines as to what is acceptable content. Otherwise, some wiseacre will post images like this:

Good that you brought it up, Atreyu. Personally, I think we should encourage hyperlinks, seeing how embedding usually causes slower loading times. As to what is appropriate and what's not, I'll leave that to Donal (might end up referring to him as DNA, heh). One more thing to worry about, but he brought this on himself.
Thank you Macha! Interesting, interesting. I'm not sure which would be the thread to talk further about that, but I'd love to hear your thoughts. Very interesting indeed.
BTW, what's a whiteboard?

I have no idea what a whiteboard does, I think it's just like a PM, only it's something you don't mind everyone else to see. Well for events we think might happen in the Winds of Winter we have a thread in the ASOIAF section. I'll post some thoughts on the dragons once I have a bit of time, though for the moment it's more of a gut feeling. :) If anyone here has any theory they'd like to discuss, feel free to start your own thread if there isn't already one dealing with the same subject.

There should be a grey button that says "Start a new topic"
Thanks! Didn't see it.

Wildseed, are you telling me you don't have the Edit/Delete post and Report spam in that "More" menu? It appears to me that everyone else is able to edit their posts. Oh you poor thing, first the formatting and now this. Let's see if our wizard DNA can get to the bottom of this.
I asked help and they seemed puzzled, it only seems to happen to Wildseed, they recommended another browser, though she uses Chrome and I use it also without problems.

Poor Wildseed! I wonder if maybe Firefox could work better, it works really fine for me...

Tir Aigid you little devil you, What a seesaw to balance, that can't be easy.
Wouldn't these be nice to access in the " quick reply " and " quote reply / white board ready emoticons '. Everyone would see them at a glance to choose from. I'm going to bug the warden Noye about them.
How did Macha explain the " FORUM CODE " thing to you ? how did you get it to work ?
I know I know... Tough work keeping them at bay.
So what I did, was go to the page Macha pointed out and pick one of the links there. Once in, you'll see several little emoticons and three codes for each. You have to copy and paste the top one, which is call the "forum code".
It's quite cumbersome, but if you want to add an extra effect to something you're writing and you have the time it's good to know it's there. I'm not sure they can be added to this forum's emoticon page, cause they seem to be working with a different code.

Amazing. I had no idea to check here for your reply to my answer days ago. I had been scrolling so many posts
and similar threads and simply forgot or gave up looking after a few days. I couldn't find a question that Aegon
asked once so I ended up responding in the private message. I'm glad now that Topics are being better organised,
now, good job.
To answer your question from above : the Edit/Delete Post Tab comes up AFTER I have posted .
It makes absolutely NO USE in trying the SHOW PREVIEW tab as I often do because
the printed post Never Matches it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So it comes out disjointed.
and NO. I do not have a REPORT SPAM choice from the MENU. AND I'm only able to
utilise the functions I referenced , if I choose QUOTE. QUICK REPLY shows NONE of these features , it's a different
typing board completely. It's a pain to return to the post and correct a missing letter, and counting the # of times
is rather ......interesting , as it takes up space to note .
Although I not a typist, I do care about how the posts look and must manually adjust margins before I post , it
takes twice as long to reply to a thread because it's extra tedious to do so. I've been complying because I want
to make it wirk, but it's not fun. It seems though the the large gravatar compresses the type when the post
goes up. There does not appear to be a complaint of any sort so I have dismissed bringing it up.
I'm only using a 2012 Mac Book Pro with icloud OS with all the bells and whistles. I believe the problem
issue relates to the site. What does " CHROME " mean ?

Thanks for your reply Tir Agid ! ! I had a feeling it was extra work, I'm awful at copy/paste so I forgo certain
tasks like that. I tend to look for user friendly features already on hand. I've been enjoying everyone's stuff
being shared , especially the videos, they're awesome. Hope your having a restful day.
Stupid question but I really need someone to walk with me through the "how to post pictures" setup. I click on the tree, paste the URL and say go, but then the picture doesn't appear. What am I doing wrong?

I thought I'd give Nymeria a Xmas makeover so... Imma tiptoe in quietly and leave this here, in case Don wants something Christmasy for our banner come December.

So... if one wanted to post some of those lovely season 3 stills... would that be considered spoilery and need spoiler tags? Should I put them in the nice pics or in some of the season 3 threads? They're mainly for non readers who can't see them in our tumblr...

Mags, I would suggest <a href="www.wicgeeks.com/f575478/community-threads/">Community Threads</a>. That's where Aegon did his pet project. The Funfiction is going on in Forum Games too. You are always welcome to participate in that!
