So Walking Dead has been renewed for a fourth season, however it has lost another showrunner in Glen Mazzara. HE split from AMC citing creative differences between him and the studio about where the show should be headed.

Yeah Cary, it was a big setup episode. Mostly people arguing. I understand you need a lull in the action before the "Guv'nah" comes for them in the prison, still the show was never strong in character moments since the writing can be clunky.
Especially Andrea's speech to calm the Woodbury citizens, what the hell was THAT?

The writing in this show is just terrible. The acting is quite bad, and the characters are all so bland that everyone I know is rooting for the zombies to win (or Cutty, Cutty should win). All those forced 'emotional' moments like Lorri's death don't work because you're just glad one of the most annoying characters is dead.
Yet I keep watching, because I want to see some badass zombie-action. The ratings are at an alltime high, absolutely unheard for for a cable show. Why don't they up the budget a bit so we get more zombiecarnage, do the showrunners actually think people are interested in the characters? For heaven's sake, I don't even know the names of half the characters in this show. They just go by: annoying crybaby Chinese dude, annoying crybaby Chinese dude's fuckbuddy, young daughter that Rick's kid is oogling, Rick's kid, oh-no-another-token-black-dude-that-will-get-killed-as-soon-as-another-black-dude-shows-up, short-haired-girl, dude that thinks all short-haired-girls-are-lesbians. That's half the cast right?
Only thing I wanted to say was: what was that ridiculous speech? But, you already said it.
And Michonne is not dead yet.

It's not the actress' fault, it's all in the writing. She started off great, being such a badass, but they have done ZERO to flesh her out, seriously, I was expecting a flashback to see how she was before the outbreak. Maybe even a scene that shows how her bf become a zombie and how she came up with the idea to use him as protection.

Much improved episode this week, with a nice surprising jolt of energy the final scenes. Woodbury and Andrea arent going anywere and still kinda boring, and I dunno why Glen and Maggie are fighting. Rick better get his shit together, at least when there is action he seems sane, the moment things slow down be goes bonkers, hmmm.

I asked for carnage, and carnage we got. This was bloody tense, though the Spanish family was ridiculous of course (surviving a zombie-plague for months yet being trapped in your car somehow) but the autohatchzombieslash was fantastic. The last 15 minutes were how this show always should be, no talking, just slash slash slash slash. When the actors have no dialogue it actually looks like they can act. It has been a long long time since I was sucked into an episode of this show like tonight.

The walking dead works really well at the start of the season, middle and end. Everyone always says that GOT doesnt have enough episodes each season, the walking dead has the opposite problem it overstays its welcome and then we get episodes like the ones we have now where people just sit around and argue.
Less is more for TWD.

Was thinking the same thing. After the first season I was overjoyed to hear more episodes for season 2 and even happier when I heard how long season 3 was going to be. Now I'm missing the 6 episode set up. At least Merle is still entertaining. And also I'm pissed at the news this week that the Call of Dutyesque first person walking dead shooter from activision's pc version of the game has been cancelled :evil:

That was pretty damn good. Good action and the drama felt strong, great way to pay off something set up all the way back in season 1! And that backpacker bit, wow, shows you how cold and survivalist they have become.

Best episode by far this season! That story about his wife eating his boy was horribly well done! I've loved this actor since I first saw him in Jericho, kinda hoped he would become a regular.

Best episode since the pilot. I read somewhere that the guy who wrote it will be the new showrunner for season 4. Let's hope many more good shit is to come!
Not sure if this was a brilliant episode or a really boring one. The next three promise to be epic. I might be in the minority here, but overall I think season 2 was better than season 3.

I didn´t watch the last two episodes and nothing happened. Well, what happened in this season could havebeen told killing at least 3 episodes. But I saw this one "This sorrowful life" and for a moment there I got lost in the story and carried away. Refreshing. And boy, our poor favorite red neck...
