Many of us are aware that with the Andal invasion along came the new faith, the Faith of the Seven.
Did they maintain this faith throughout and in every region ? If not, why ?

Maybe someone else needs to take a stab at an answer. I 'm thinking he ( ranging with other Night's

Watch mates ) were attacked ( North of the Wall would always be assumed ) by Wights so he fled

on foot and in panic towards Winterfell ( on foot of course ). That's my educated guess for now. There

were no trains heading that way and aeroplane passage to remote.

Teleportation. A rarely heard-of inherited magical ability which may now be (with his death) officially extinct.

It can't be extinct, we saw Littlefinger transport from KL to Renly's camp back to Harrenhal! And before someone says the show never says how much time passes it could be months, SHae blew that theory to shit when whe answered Cersei that she's only been in Sansa's service a few weeks.

3 and 4/ no idea
5/ Ellaria Sand
6/ I think I know this: Haldon whatever, J. Connington and Septa Lemore
7/ because of the Nigth´s Watch?
8/ no idea
9/ Aegon (Egg)?
10/ Targaryen, Stark, Lannister, Baratheon, Martell, Tully, Arryn, Tyrell? no idea about the rest.

Region, not capital, perhaps I was not specific enough. House Targeryen is not one of the 8 principal houses. But you are getting there.
I'll fill in the blanks, starting from the North.
House Stark, The North, Winter is Coming
House Greyjoy, Iron Islands, We do no Sow
House Tully, Riverlands, Family, Duty, Honour
House Lannister, Westerlands, Hear me Roar
House Arryn, The Vale, As High as Honour
House Baratheon, the Stormlands, Ours is the Fury
House Tyrrel, the Reach, Growing Strong
House Martell, Dorne, Unbent Unbowed, Unbroken

I did this from memory lol, obsessed much!

Some other people may have already posted the correct answer to two or three, so if I get them wrong, it's because I didn't look :P

1) Sansa
2) I'm not confident in the official title, but he took care of all the dogs and such at Casterly Rock.
3) Qorgoyle
4) A singer
5) Ellaria Sand
6) Halfmaester Haldon, Ser Rolly Duckfield, Lemore
7) My instinct was "Because fuck the Greyjoys" but I have a sneaking suspicion it's the failed conquest of Dorne
8) That one I do not know
9) Baelor the Blessed
10)...
House Stark, Winter is Coming, The North
House Tully, Family Duty Honour, Riverlands
House Greyjoy, We do not Sow, Iron Islands
House Arryn, As High as Honour, The Vale
House Lannister, Hear Me Roar, Westerlands
House Tyrell, Growing Strong, The Reach
House Baratheon, Ours is the Fury, Stormlands and Crownlands
House Martell, Unbowed Unbent Unbroken, Dorne

How'd I do, your grace?

I scribbled the questions down so that I could see them better and scratch answers down in some order. I did not want to

look at anyone's answers. I choked on a few that I can easily remember but but rushed to post between changing

computers ( laptop battery dying.. had to plug it in ). My desktop is slow and key board sticks. Oh, I'm just feeling

low and giving excuses because I flunked a pop quiz.

Me too, me too. Didn't look at the answers, yada yada.

1) Which character has the fewest POV's in AGOT, not including the pro or epilogue?  Sansa.

2) What did Gregor and Sandor's father do for a living before being knighted? kennel master, hence their sigil. there's an explanation for the number of dogs on the sigil as well, but I can't remember it. Something like he rescued some Lannister with his three dogs from a bear or a boar or something.

3) Who was Lord Commander before Jeor Mormont? Fuck, I'm going with Rodrik Flint, just because Flints are awesome.

4) Who wrote the Rains of Castamere? A bard.

5) Name the Red Viper's Paramour - Ellaria Sand.

6) Name Young Griff's maester, master at arms and septa (last one is easy) Shit, and I've chust read that chapter last night. Septa Lemore, Young Griff's Maester and...Jon Connington? is he his master at arms or just his surrogate daddy?

7) If it's Seven Kingdoms, why are there eight regions ruled by the eight Major houses?

Actually there are nine regions, not 8. Even with the Targaryens gone, the Crownlands are a distinct region. And at the time of the conquest only 7 were independent. I can't remember the details but there was war in the Riverlands and the Crownlands.

8) Which house has the words "above the rest."? HA! You can't get me, because I love them and their sigil! House Mallister.

9) Which King once made a stone mason High Septon? Wow, talk about trivia. Baelor the Blessed?

10) Name all 8 principal houses, their words and the region they came from.

Stark - Winter is Coming (the North)

Lannister - Hear me Roar (Westerlands)

Tully - Forever a Fish. Just kidding. Family, Duty, and a Horse. Kidding again. Family, Duty, Honor. (Riverlands)

Greyjoy - We do not Sow (Irons Islands)

Arryn - As High as Honor (the Vale)

Baratheon - Ours is the Fury (Stormlands)

Tyrell - Growing Strong (the Reach)

Martell - Unbound, Unbent, Unbroken (Dorne)

Congrats WildSeed did better than some of the others, but Andrew still has the high score. You got 3 and 1 third.

2, 5,9 are correct and you got 1 of the 3 correct in question 6.

5. Elaria Sand

Congrats Mr's H'ghar, you got 3 and 2 thirds correct.

Unless all of question 10 is correct I don't make it count.

you got 2,3,5 correct with 2 out of 3 on question six.

It's funny how everyone thinks 1) is Sansa.

Wow Macha very well done! You are the new champion, just edging Andrew out with 5 and 1 third

you got 2,5,8,9 and 10. Question 6 you got 1/3

While showing more insight than other ons question 7 you are still far from being correct. Crownlands fell within the Baratheon lands at the start of AGOT. There's a very specific reason why the 7 became 8 or 9 as you put it.

The answer to question 7 why are there only Seven Kingdoms when there are 8 regions ruled by 8 Principal Houses, 9 if you count the Crownlands?
The answer is, when Aegon invaded, the Iron Islanders were kings of the Riverlands as well. The Tully's rose in rebellion to join Aegon. As a reward, Aegon made House Tully the principal River Lords and gave them the fertile Riverlands as a reward. Thereby splitting one of the kingdoms and making 8 regions. This is the reason why the Greyjoys and Iron Islanders lost so much wealth and power.

My answer was less detailed, but RIGHT in essence. I demand half a point. *sticks out tongue*

You just made the point that there are 9, which I conceded. But on the subject of the question you just said there was war in the Riverlands. It was during Aegon's invasion, there was war everywhere.

Why don't you start a thread every so often with a new quiz? A woman is not the only one who enjoys quizzes it is known.
