Well isn't that just lovely! I've tried to get the app to get the chapter and it's not available in my country !!!!! Why release something if ALL the fans can't access it?!Grrrrrrrr Martin!
The app is free! I got a screencap last night for a friend! It looks so nice on my phone. All brownish background and a lovely typefont. No idea why it would be unavailable in other countries. So sorry Yvy.

The app is free but if you want info on anything other than the immediate Stark family and Winterfell you have to pay. Unless its changed?

I just checked Ry, you are correct. I see only the map of Westeros available in MAPS (a very nice one though), the PLACES tab has description of most everything though, Asshai and Essos places included, at HOUSES tab you've got nothing unless you pay for unlocked content and at PEOPLE you get Arya, Bran, Catelyn, Dany, Ned, Jon Snow, Sansa and Tyrion. And that is it.
a case of really bad diarrhea after eating those corpses.

Lyanna, I looked it up, but I think that it has Martin as editor only. He's not written anything for this one. Will check out again, but if he did I'll be surprised. He would have announced it.

My e-mail says: Amazon Editor- This collection of 21 original stories, edited by George R.R. Martin and Gardner Dozois, includes a new A Game of Thrones story by George R.R. Martin chronicling one of the biggest rogues in the history of Ice and Fire, as well as stories of rogues from Neil Gaiman, Gillian Flynn, Cherie Priest, and other masters of literary sleight-of-hand.
So, if there is a new Game of Thrones short story in there, much like Dangerous Women, it appears to be coming out in June, 2014.

I stand corrected! He did announce it. Good, I'd hate to be unfair the Mr. Martin. I must have missed it, what with all the excitement about new chapters coming out.
Thank you Lady Stark for the info!!!! You are better informed than me :) June it is then
While I am still holding on to a shred of hope that D&D wont take over ASOIAF, I am waning fast. 2017? 2016, maybe. I am sorry that's bull. Get to work fat man. And don't die before we know what happens.

Hello there you! Not many optimists around these parts. Good to see you.
Not sure where this really goes. BUt it is TWoW related so it could go here. Interview with Martin. Oh, says Tyrion and Dany intersect but are apart for a lot of the book. Does that mean he wrote it?! Ahhhhh, I cannot believe it. #TWOW2015

Cosca you're such a pessimist! It's ADOS that won't come out...
I actually think this interview comes off as advertising. Which is a good sign!
I won't get excited yet, though
Actually Al, I would classify the Battle of Meereen as tedious filler. Wish it would be over in 1 chapter. Winterfell should be great though. That's something I'm genuinely excited about.

huh, I can't wait to read about Victarion's fleet smashing through the blockade and have him swinging about his axe in honor of R'holler.
Though really, my main problem with the Battle is the Slavers. They're poorly sketched out villainous slaver oriental cliches, I don't care what happens with them, and they're clearly going to be slaughtered easily. Compare that to any other major battle in the series so far, with two well sketched out sides fighting each other, usually where there's investment from the reader in both sides, where there's real stakes. The slavers are practice dummies for Vic, Barry and the boys to tear apart. That's why I want it to be over as quickly as possible.
