GoT & ASOIAF Pub quiz (LIVE)

Come here, geeks, step right in. ALL OF YOU. 

I need your input on setting up a date and time for Aegon's pub quiz.

The idea behind it is to host a live quiz in the chat, the prize being an item from Donal's ComicCon bag (probably a Baratheon T-shirt). 

Give our different timezones this can be a bit of a challenge. All I can say for now is that it'll be during the week, since Aegon (who's writing the questions) can't do weekends. Also, the day in question will have to be after Dec. 2, when Donal comes back from his vacation. 

Those are our coordinates, so I'm thinking the week after that (any day between, and including 3 - 6 Dec). 

Would lunch-time be ok for Americans? That would mean around dinner-time (or later) for Europe and South Africa. 

Please, let me all know what you think so we can set up a convenient hour for most of us. Thanks!

I'm going to be totally unhelpful Macha and say I will have to go with general consensus... as I work varying shifts different days .. There's no time match possible ... I just hope I hit lucky .

It'll be like this one, only in real time, and in the chat. The questions will be from the show and the series, and the answers will be timed, so no Google.

I think there needs to be different levels of difficulty. I only read the books twice. The first time was in 2000. So I am not up to par with others on here.

I think it's only Andrew that read them like 8 times or so , but different levels would require more than one prize..so I don't think it can be done. It's up to Aegon to find questions that could give us all a chance, so it could be more about speed. Maybe that will help?

My mind is an encyclopedia resembling a mixture between wikipedia and ucyclopedia, I write up enormous articles of information on topics. However outside of a class room, a quiz etc I'm quite useless.

OMG! you guys! you participated!!!! You made me so very happy. No one ever participates but myself in quizzes and puzzles! huggs I will post the results in a sec. Once I see who wrote what!

Awesome job! Not quite what I expected but AWESOME! Everything gets graded! Ry is big trouble

 

ASOIAF (right answer for one 1 point was: Aegor Rivers/ Second Sons) the standings are:

1. Ly: 0.5 points (cause she might not remember but she's got the right Blackfyre knight)

2. Dolan: 0.25 points (cause he laughed at Ry's answers which means he at least knows they are wrong!)

3. Atreyu & Don: 0 points (they didn't answer, so we have no idea if they DO know)

4. Ry: -0.75 points (cause it's just wrong, but made me snort and Dolan laugh so didn't give him a -1 point)

 

GoT/ Unsullied (right answer for one 1 point was: Stannis Baratheon) the standings are:

1. Basi: 1 points (cause she might not have read the books but she kicks ass at GoT)

2. Ly: 0.50 points (Mel WAS in the scene but Stannis was strangling her. No worries, it ended in bush humpy)

3. Dolan: 0.25 points (that laugh earned him another quarter of a point spiderkill!)

3. Atreyu: 0 points (he didn't answer, so he might know. I won't put it past him to google shit.)

4. Ry: -0.75 points (He googled it! )

5. Don: -1.00 point (he copied from Ry! cheating not allowed!)
