I am gonna see the "Evil Dead" remake, I am a big fan of the original series and the word has been good. Any other spine tingling classics or recent ones you wish to share?

"I´d not prolongued the chewing up, Doc. Nor the being spat out. Not go out a cunt. It´s the dispatch I find inglorious. The whole delusory fucking self importance.". Al Swedgin ;).
Wes Craven's debut movies, as " the hills have eyes" and "the last house on the left". Carpenter's" in the mouth of darkness" and " Halloween". And the absolute classic, the Texas chainsaw massacre (i can't watch it without throwing up) ! Shining and Deliverance are also very scary imo (banjo guy BRRRRRRRRRR) .

Haha Ly, kids nowadays nothing impresses them does it? My plans got changed, seeing it Monday.
Gore by itself is not scary, I love tension. The first Jaws is always in the back of my mind when I go for a swim in the warm waters here. When I swim over a patch of dark water, I hear the theme song......Dum,dum...dum,dum....

My went to see it, Don, said it was "alright", not great. The original scared the shan right out of me. 2nd scariest movie I've ever seen.

The new Evil Dead was amazing. I had some weariness going in, but wow did it impress. The director really did his homework, from pacing to characterization and lighting, all top notch and laps ahead for what has been passing for horror these days. I liked that the character seemed like real people and not flimsy stereotypes, I like that the first act did not have a single cheap jump scare and I loved the amount of gore they pulled off, I mean I am a horror hound and I was like in some parts.
Bravo and certainly a bluray purchase for me.

But did Bruce Campbell have a cameo? That's the important question. I'm glad you liked it. In that case, I definitely will see it.
My scariest was the series Salem's Lot.
The movie Hellraiser and I don't watch anything remotely scary now ... but the jaws music ... hahaha ... my brother got me good with that one!
