I FUCKING LOVE THIS MAN. All he does and he does many things. I´m a big fan. A BIG FAN. He´s my favorite and his show is my favorite tv show. I always liked stand up but this man is a whole other thing. Completely brilliant, talented, interesting, honest, charming, funny funny funny man. And he speaks spanish (but where?).
For those who are not familiar, here. And this is his website, there you can read how he produce his shows.
Last night I watched "Oh my God", a stand up he did with HBO. Amazingly funny and clever.
I miss his show very much. I think I have to wait 1 more year for another season
Edit: ok ok, I won´t be lazy, here something people said about the show (Louie):
“Louie,” the stripped-down half hour he occupies on FX. The channel gave him an unheard-of deal: a tiny budget in exchange for total control, to the point that Louis doesn’t even get notes from network executives. For the first two seasons, Louis wrote, directed, edited, and starred in every episode, and was also the music director. The result was a series that, despite its small audience, has had a broad influence, upending notions of what a sitcom can be. (Among other things, it helped inspire Lena Dunham’s “Girls.”) Like his standup act, Louis’s sitcom is melancholic, profane, and hilarious, shifting in tone from week to week. Scored to jazz, the show can be lushly cinematic (Louis’s roots are in independent film), then loose and skitlike. There are slow passages, and sequences that lean too hard on self-pity, but there are many more moments of crazy transcendence, plus a fart joke or two (yay! ). “Louie” takes risks rare for television, including the risk of not being perfect.
Season 1 was good; Season 2 was better. Louis plays a lo-fi version of himself, spending his days drifting through New York, brooding, bingeing on ice cream, slumping in wintry playgrounds, like Charlie Brown with a buried temper. As Season 3 begins, he has begun dating, his daughters are older, and he has some money (enough to buy a motorcycle). But the biggest change has taken place offscreen: Louis hired as editor Susan E. Morse, who has worked for Woody Allen. As impressive as the solo-built TV model is, it’s exhausting to maintain—and, perhaps for this reason, the third season of “Louie” is a revelation. It’s so good I’m afraid to praise it too highly, for fear you’ll be let down.
The new episodes start well, then keep improving, with narrative clarity and a fresh visual beauty. The first one, which aired last Thursday, opened, as the episodes often do, with his standup act. It’s a shaggy-dog routine that begins with Louie miming masturbation, then looking down to see that his penis is blurry: he needs reading glasses. Somehow this builds up to a riff about rich men buying new penises. “I don’t mean like a synthetic, kind of transvestite, kind of pink peapod, Frankenstein, grafted-off-your-leg dick,” Louie says, laughing, controlling the audience like an orchestra. “I mean: some dead kid’s dick. On your body. Like a happy ending to a sad story, on your body.”

oh oh watched Shameless the other night. Bag of dicks jokes, fart jokes (yay! ) and some amazing, almost cinematic images. This guy mesmerizes me and makes me laugh really hard.
Ry, did you watch George López special on HBO? "Is not me it´s you". Pretty good.

to prove Don how clever we all are when we laugh hard at fart jokes, lemme show you what Louis has to say. So Don, from the mouth of a comedy genius: Louis CK breaks down farts for us!
Enjoy!
George Carlin did it before:"Kids know farts are ok. Kids know farts are fun! Farts are shit without the mess! Same funny sound, same vile smell, no fuss, no muss."

What? Christians against masturbation? That is the best joke of all! Who is she trying to fool?

He´s back!!! and two episodes every monday. (this bush should be ginger?)
Show is as unpredictable, funny, awkward, sad and emotional as always. Epìsode 1, "Back" seemed weak comparing with Louis awesomeness but the scene with his friends at the game table, talking vibrators and wanking and the one with Doctor Bigelow (C. Grodin) eating the sandwich were brilliant. That terrible terrible noise Grodin was doing with that sandwich was like a punch in the face but Louie didn´t seem to care. And the Spine explanation was actually real. Go walk in your fours, don`t bore me!Also Grodin looked so old.
Episode 2, "Model", was the unpredictable and the awkward and the funny all together. Jerry Seinfeld was awesome as a douche.
Oh Victor Garber also, as the lawyer, pretty funny too. This never happened before I think, inviting famous people in this show.
Was all a terrible debacle and turned out that Louie is violently tickly god, that scene, you never know with this show, can go from fart jokes to very awkward and dramatic scenes. Genius to me.
And then he said it! "Chickens are dumb, right?"
I´m still waiting for Macha someone to watch you made me play a computer game.

No clue where to start, I already watched 8 episodes. Loved the last 4... you can´t laugh much with Louie tho, he´s being a stupid fuck most of the time (but have some great moments too) but people around him is mostly awesome.
The acting and the scripts! Charles Grodin and Ellen Burstyn are all the time amazing of course, but there´s other unknown actors/actresses. Lol, the two playing young Louie and young ex wife (now a white woman ) at the edge of divorce. The script, the directing of that scene, the humor, the sadness. I adore it. Beautiful and tragic, like this relationship he´s trying to have with Amia, the hungarian woman. When he´s trying to explain that relationship to his ex wife, he just can´t explain the weirdness of it all so she goes: "she doesn´t speak english, she´s about to leave the country and you didn´t even fuck her?". Awwwwwwww, I do understand Louie!!! And wut the hell Evianka, she´s your niece! "if you didn´t screw the cow, she´s not your cow" nice advice bitch.
The parallel in both relationships, the nice one with ex wife and this one with Amia: How is all so pretty and exciting at the beginning, you know there´s this weird connection that doesn´t need words or language but then...how bad and how sad or heartbreaking it can get Is still comedy!!! Nevermind, too lazy to say more but ...The news on the tv :rofl the hurricane news and "a little bird died of sadness today".

I bend the knee to our lord commander Louie, Andi, and thanks for the advice cause i just came to bingewatch season 2 and 3 ! God i loved them, it reminds me of Curb with that bizarre and overrealistic stuffs life often offers us . But i must admit that my favourite joke is the Jane's one "who didn't let the gorilla attend the ballet"... Exactly the kind of jokes the kids i know could do, he nailed it and it was pure genius !

Loved the first episode. The woman's water breaking all over Louie's schlong was gold, and that line from the mother about Louie jizzing all over the baby's face
I think this season of Louie might be the funniest season of any tv-show ever.
Yussss, you and your stupid tits are so right. I can´t even quote him.

This show is really hot and cold for me, sometimes it's really funny and other times it's so weird and depressing. It's no Curb Your Enthusiasm that's for sure.
Maybe that´s because it´s a show made by a comedian and not actually an all the time laughing thing. Although, even when Louie shows his little miseries, I smile. Don´t laugh out loud but I smile. Is good to laugh at life when is shitty or crazy o makes no sense. I think he is wonderfully complicated but I completely love the guy.

Yeah my problem is I view it as an all out comedy when it's more of dark dramedy.
I wish I could kick this guy in his stupid balls. I still can´t believe this wanker. I loved him. I don´t know if I still can. Fucker.
