Oh goodie, I was curious to see if Jaime's monologue had a track of its own. I wonder what the last track stands for. Last year I only listened to the soundtrack after the season ended, but something tells me curiosity will get the better of me this year.
I think it's very possible that that's the version we're getting, although if that was the case he should have been listed as a performer....hmmm. It wouldn't make sense for it to be just instrumental.
Macha, isnt Gary Lightbody from Snow Patrol? He is not associated with Hold Steady, methinks.
Correctamundo. The punk Hold Steady version is what is on the soundtrack. I want to hear the version that Locke's gang was singing on the road (led by Gary Lightbody, playing one of Locke's minions).
Yup, what Angie said. I completely forgot about Hold Steady, and I didn't see at first that they were listed on the soundtrack.
Spoiler
Wow, this one's really dark. I'm in love with A Lannister Always Pays His Debts. Shireen, my sweet baby! The chorus in Dark Wings and Mhyssa sounds beautiful, and Reek is....badass? Can't really place I Have to Go North...some scene with Bran?
Aaaah damn it, I listened to the last four samples as well. For the Realm is a strange choice. I doubt it'll play on the show.

listened to the songs this morning and I agree about the last one, I'll be very surprised if it is used anywhere but the credits. Found Mhysa very interesting but from the snippets we could listen to I was most taken by "reek".
Spoiler
Sounds like chase music to me.

Wouldn't it be freakin' cool is the BWB plays "For the Realm", although for The Realm is more something Varys says than the BWB. I would just love to see a variation of the main theme played out in a scene.
