Hideo Kojima the creator of Metal Gear Solid tweeted yesterday about that video, he said it made him depressed because there's no way MGS V will be able to match the freedom of GTA V. High praise from one of the best creative minds around in the industry.
Not sure because the only one I played from that group was Red Dead and that is not as free as GTA and the story missions are easier to follow/beat with plenty of side acheivements to make playing outside the main story missions worthwhile. GTA doesnt have that. It gets boring pretty fast. Red Dead didnt get boring until after all the side acheivements were completed (Sharpshooter, Hunter, Survivalist, Treasure Hunter).

GTA 4 got released 5 years ago, in videogame development that is a long ass time. GTA 5 should carry over a lot of improvents from Red Dead. But I guess we just have to wait 2 months and we shall see. :)

Rhaegar, despite wounding Robert, was struck down with a massive blow from Robert's warhammer, which scattered the rubies encrusted in Rhaegar's armor under the water. Rhaegar died with Lyanna Stark's name on his lips.
So this is where AL has been. Playing a video game. ;). Seriously hope he is OK. Haven't seen him at WiC either. Maybe that he finally got his "Mountain" he decided he had no reason to post on GoT sites anymore? ;)

A colleague has this. He says its pretty amazing. However there is so much to do in order to get 100% complete that its not worth the time to invest. Me, I have fun raping and pillaging for a bit but then it gets boring and loses its luster.

I like that you can flip people off. Do you start off w all three characters and access to the whole map? That's the worst part of GTA. That the free roamfor all areas is only accessible when you complete certain missions.

I think the whole map is available straight away but you don't get to play all three characters until a quarter way through the story.
I pre-ordered this for PC and I am excited to play it. I hope they outdid themselves and make it a good release, as opposed to GTA4 which was one of the worst console ports ever. The FPS modes look fun and I have a few friends who will be playing the online portion with me.
