OMG! I was always attached of how Oberyn Martell was presented in ASoS! Always. I have some of that Tyrion chapter engraved in my memory. Thought any change will never match it. This came pretty damn close! I loved it. Included everything: the revenge theme, the bisexuality, the equality and his innate dangerousness! Basically all one needed to know of him and his, and it was short, concise and amazingly done. Kudos to the writers. OH.. AND PEDRO KILLED IT! FOURSOME TO COME. GOD I LOVE THIS CHARACTER
Jon confessing his feelings about Robb the sibling rivalry he felt, the love for his brother and the desire to be for Ned what Robb was simply broke my heart. I thought it was excellently delivered by Kit. All restrained emotion.
Arya & Sandor getting Needle back. Well.. This Arya seems way more comfortable with revenge and killing IMO. It could work to her advantage when getting to Braavos.
Sansa gets a necklace and not a net. No biggie. Interesting change, makes the switch easier I think.
JAIMEEEEEEE! I swear I almost clapped at Tywin vs Jaime exchange. He stood his damn ground and I love him for it. He's determined to stay in Kingsguard. Special mentions to my fave KG knights #SerArthurDayne #SwordOfTheMorning and Duncan the Tall! Oh, Joff deserved such an ImpSlap...
I'm ending my ramblings with my guy: Tromund Giantsbane, Husband to Bears, Tormund Giantstick, The Tall Talker, The Horn Blower, The Ice Breaker, the Mead King of Ruddy Hall! I know, I should stop writing his titles LOL He knew Ygritte could have taken Jon out. Aww I think he's a softie :) Also, that man is going to have to watch that Magnar badass cannibal.
That's about all I remember. I need to let it sink in.

Don't remember Tywin's involvement with Ice being melted down, it's probably in there, I just don't remember it. That scene made me and then throwing the wolf pelt into the fire? Omg, I was throwing tissue at the t.v., jeez.

Was it not Ned's badger pelt? Sort a reminder to the viewer as they didn't actually say his name . ...

What at Tywin physically being there during the actual process or asking for Ice to be melted down?
I remember Tywin being really pleased with himself when he ordered Ice to be melted down and created into Lannister swords.
So does this mean that LF is gonna behind the murder of Joff, with no assistance from the Tyrells?
Hmm don't think so, they made sure to show us again in the "previously on GoT" that the Tyrells know he's a monster. They'll act on it, I really don't think there's any reason to change that.
Very smart of spending a good amount of time introducing Oberyn, he is wonderful and people will love him...and then he will die! Gaaaaaaah!
I feel I was correct that they made Alliser take up the mantle of my dear Donal Noye, methinks he will defend the wall on the first assault and die fighting a giant ( PLEAAASE CAN WE HAVE THISSSS??)
The hour just flew by. Ugh, no show goes by faster than this.

Ledy Olenna will just rearrange the necklace...

I´m quite confused. Can´t remember if I read it here or somewhere else but people are shipping Missandei and Grey Worm. I thought those two were brother and sister? I know, it´s ASOIAF, but still.

From what I gathered in the scene Grey Worm gave her longing gaze, don't know about you but you don't look at your sister like that unless you're Jaime or from Alabama.
Greyworm is castrated, why are we even having this conversation?!
And castration stops you from developing feelings? There are plenty of people out there who are paralyzed below the waist who can still have relationships and marriages.

Usually I don't care about sappy love stories between secondary characters but I'd actually like to see this issue being addressed on the show. Wasn't there an Unsullied (or more) in the books that went to brothels just to be held? I think I remember this.
Wait, where does it say that Missandei and GW are brother and sister? She has brothers that are Unsullied in the books, but I don't remember her and GW being related.
Found this: Missandei is a servant of Daenerys Targaryen and former slave. She is Naathi. Three of her brothers are Unsullied but one was killed in training and only Marselen and Mossador remain.
And this:
According to a semi-canon source, Grey Worm has absolutely no facial hair, though the hair atop his head is short and brown. He is stocky, of medium height and square. He has a serious looking face, on the edge of solemn.
Looks like he is caucasian in the book although I truly don't remember.

Wasn't the Hound suppose to be mortally wounded when Arya acquired Needle back?
Yes
Thanks Yvy. I don't have an issue with them delaying the arc as long as they still follow it. I wonder perhaps if they might switch it so the Brother Hood Without Banners + Gendry wound The Hound which pushes Arya to leave Westeros.

But do you think Gendry actually returns to the BwB now after they sold him out? Or is he going to show up at the Eyrie and take Mya Stone's place (now that he's taken Edric Storm's place)

seen as she said lines from "Winds" I don't know anymore , I mean theirs not much else for her to do ... and we have seen a video of her "Water Dancing " alone ... so ... who knows ?
I don't know how they'll do it now, but maybe he did get wounded ... he just hasn't let on ?
I didn't see it. I mean he was pretty banged up as those two were hitting and kicking him when he was on the ground, but he seemed good to go when they left the inn.
I think that he's such a popular character they'll let Arya & Sandor get into a bit of trouble before having him die(?). Though if he does die, I really hoped it would be way more dramatic than denying him the gift of Mercy and letting him bleed to death...
Seriously though the Hound wounds himself whilst traveling to the Vale with Arya? The Hill Tribes would be a good match for Sandor. Think of how epic a showdown between the Hound and Shagga would be.
Is the Purple Wedding really happening in episode 2? won't that rush the event? From the preview it looks like it is going to happen but I'd prefer a whole episode or at least half of an episode dedicated to the wedding.
I suppose the Red Wedding didn't take a whole episode but the Purple Wedding takes place in Kings Landing and features more prominent characters for the show.
I don't think there's actually *that* much material there that's worth an entire episode. We already have the Battle at the Wall taking up a whole episode, they need time to develop other stories and characters as well. I imagine they'll spend enough time with the wedding in ep. 2, but also if you have a whole episode devoted to a single event that's supposed to feature this out-of-nowhere death, viewers will already be alerted something big is about to go down, especially after getting the Red-Wedding treatment.
It seems too quick and rushed to me. I was expecting the wedding to happen in episode four. We haven't even been introduced to Mace yet.
Cramming in the wedding, feast, Joffrey's confrontation with Tyrion, death and Sansa's escape all into 30 minutes doesn't sit to well with me. Plus the drawback is now Tyrion is going to spend the majority of this season in court and in a cell.
If only we had those two or three extra episodes

Well, this might be a "wave goodbye to Victarion" moment The last cast member listed is the man playing Ralf Kenning, who is, in the books, one of the captains under Victarion. Since there is no Victarion this season, it's safe to assume he's under Asha/Yara.
