There aren't any movies I would randomly stop and watch just because they're on. Especially not serious movies. But if I'm looking for something to throw on the tv while I'm home, I prefer light entertainment or mindless action. Like these:

Aliens
Pulp Fiction
K-Pax
Willow
Leon: the Professional
Dawn of the Dead (new one)
Nightmare before Christmas
The Dark Knight

1. Gone with the Wind, nothing else compares.  Rest in no particular order.

Highlander (original)

Princess Bride

Excalibur

Romeo & Juliette (original)

Ladyhawk

Three Musketeers (original)

Elizabeth

Atonement

A Place in Time

Ladyhawk and Excaliber kicked ass.

And: I've never seen Gone With the Wind. Or The Godfather. Suck it, no regrets.

Oh alright, then I can easily say Gladiator, The Untouchables and LoTR: The Two Towers. I wouldn't include them on any of my favorite movies lists in terms or quality or how much I love them, but I can never switch the channel whenever they're on.

Oh, and The Party (1968), which is simply ageless.

I love how many of us had to add a disclaimer. "These are my FUN movies. Don't judge me!"

I have many. These are the ones I'd watch anytime: Casablanca, Shakespeare in Love, Lord of the Rings (pick whichever part you want), Dirty Harry (again any one of them), How to Steal a Million, Stagecoach.
I'm sure I have many more these are just randomly crossed my mind right now.

What Macha said then (which is creepy Chuskita, creepy creepy). I´ll add The Godfather (I and II). I might have some more movies I watch compulsively. Imma think about it.

Lol? wut´s going on? had to post this like 3 times, all sorts of weird things.

Compulsively watch: Despicable me, My neighbor Totoro, Last action hero and The triplets of Belleville (these last 3 should be in my all time favorites).

I'm like Andrea!!!! I know more now. Cannot believe I skipped the wickedest pleasure of all! And the one I can always find myself quoting in almost every occasion. Not sure what that actually says about me, but who the hell cares, right?!

Bridget Jones's Diary: "At least now that I'm in my thirties I can hold my drink!" (and flat on her face she goes!)
