I actually wrote a comment (before learning I was banned) to Ours is the Fury, asking for some explanation of what the moderation policy is, and whether there is a coherent policy or if it's ad hoc. The level of censorship is absolutely stunning.

My biggest issue is that fleabottom.net is listed as spam. A relevant fan site with relevant discussions and entirely funded by donations with no ads or commercial interest is considered spam. That's bad website administration.

I think the new people don't have a feel for what WiC was, and the different ways in which different people contributed. Rygar and Cumsprite criticized, but were funny and lightened things up too. And now that they're banned, the feel of the site will change. And I don't feel like the new people have any awareness of what the consequences of their capricious bannings.

I feel sorry for the whole thing. A pity that wic turned out so different after being taking over by Fansided.

And this is the extent of my disappointment. I refuse to let something that should have been enjoyable take over to this extent over my hobby any longer. I REFUSE! Though the injustice of it is so difficult to overlook.

Well, the "spam" part of it seems to be some kind of technical misunderstanding. I'm willing to take Fury on face value about that, because they've had a lot of technical problems lately and because I like to believe in the kindness of people.

We have the same spam flag system in place, but in our case we simply get an admin warning. Let's see if they clear stuff up next week.

I can't believe they banned Rygar.
And even worse: you can't write the word Rygar in a comment. It just gets deleted automatically as if the word Rygar is spam. And the site in general is becoming shittier with every new change (because they DON'T WORK). It's as if they are incapable of fixing anything- the spoilers haven't been working for over a month on mobile, now the pages thing. Sucks. I don't even know who to blame.

Sorry, Ry, but this is just too fucked up for it not to be funny.

Wic is screwed up in a lot of ways, most of them I bet they're not even realizing yet. The moment they started posting 7 shitty articles a day ruined what little sense of community they had. Now you have 10 articles in a row with 16 comments each instead of having a single good one followed by a real discussion. It's not even a fansite anymore, it's a broken fanzine.
