I've never seen Breaking Bad but Better Caul Saul is pretty funny. Bob Odenkirk has been in a lot of silly comedy I've seen and it's neat to see him in a lead role. I'll get around to watching BB later in the year. I have a few friends who have seen BB who have also said that Saul's character was not their favorite. We'll see how it goes :)
I really liked the pilot too and what I saw so far. They taking their time to tell his story, I like that. Acting is not always the best but works. Odenkirk is good, no clue if it will be enough to keep on going.

Saul was a funny character but not one I'd want to watch a whole series around. Its like giving Jeremy Piven his own show after Entourage. Oh wait, that WAS his show.
I think I will only watch this if its better than BB and so far I am not getting that vibe. BB was OK imo, but not something I would rewatch again.

I watched the first couple of eps. They've got Albuquerque all wrong. It bugs, but I guess nobody's watching it as a documentary on life in New Mexico. I did love "open up in the name of the law."
there´s many good lines. I wish they lose Saul´s wig.

No way in hell is this better than BB season 1 (though I never understood the BB season 1 (or 2) hate, I loved that show from the first second). I like it, but they are relying on their old tricks too much, something needs to start happening.
I already forgot about BB season 1 but it doesn´t matter. This show is ok but yes it needs to do something. We got Jimmy already, we know who he is let´s move on.

No thanks. I'll take the slow burn over hastly rushed D & D pace.
This week's episode really brought it up a notch. Enjoying this show :)
I was worried but yes, this last episode was really great and for once, wasn´t all about Jimmy. Dialogues between Mike and his daughter in law were goooooood.

Hotdamn this episode raised the bar. Goes to show Saul works better as a side character though, so still not convinced how the rets of the season will pan out. I might be a but I loved how casually they explained the origin of his name, 'S all Good Man, earlier in the season.
On to episode 5, I really like his relationship with his ill brother, it is well done.
The episode that focused on Mike was surprisingly convoluted and boring.
I like vibe of the show, definitely a lot lighter in tone than Breaking Bad, but just as atmospheric.

Yeah that last scene was heartbreaking. So we thought the whole time slimeball partner was the bad guy, turns out his own brother did him in. It was so sad.
Great episode, loved also the scene where Mike showed that blowhard who's boss...hehe that was damn great.

Great start so far. The directing and cinematography in this show are impeccable, can't think of any other show that looks so flawless on the screen. Did Gilligan ever say how many seasons he had in mind?
Loving it so far. I`m waiting for Chuck to fucking die.

Its been awesome! I think this show has some of the best cinematography and editing on TV.
I wonder is
Spoiler
Chuck dead?
Hands down the best. The opening scene of episode 8, where they shoot the whole border-scene in one shot made me fucking hard. Episode 8 was great throughout, best hour of tv in 2016. Chuck is an insufferable character, let's hope
Great finale. This show does some amazing things with subtle storytelling.
Who was the guy who one-upped Mike? The sniper scene was nailbiting!
The Jimmy/Chuck dynamic is amazing to watch, but I had enough of Chuck's shit...in many ways he is worse than Slippin' Jimmy.

Great finale, but Chuck is a fuckin asshole. No idea who countered Mike there, but assuming what we know from BB, maybe it was Gustavo or one of his guys. Who knows. Season 3 is too far away!
Absolutely terrible finale. The Mike-scenes had no business being in a finale, it's the same level of Jaime Lannister running into the woods to save Brienne. The writing was just shameful, let's drag the whole Chuck-Jimmy drama further along for another season. They build it up all season, the ingredients were there to finish it and then they decided to use the cheesiest of cheesiest tv-tropes, SECRET TAPE CONFESSION: WATCH NEXT SEASON TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS!!! I'm really pissed because this is one of the three or four tv-shows I really enjoy and this episode put a huge fat stinking stain all over IT.
Yes Don, I thought it was a horrendous finale. I might hold this show to a high standard, but the quality in this episode immensely dropped. It's like they had no fucking clue they were going to have another season and had to bullshit their way towards a bunch of cliffhangers all of a sudden.
