Here's the synopsis which showed up this morning on my tv when I pressed the "info" button about the episode:
Spoiler
“Cersei meets the High Sparrow after learning of a clergyman’s embarrassing tale. Meanwhile, Davos talks to Jon about the future of Winterfell, where Ramsay Snow has just learned the identity of his future bride.”
(I didn't realize the spoiler code was the same here as it is on WotW, or I wouldn't have asked you to spoiler code it for me the other day, Donal. Oops.)

And I'm gloriously pissed about Ramsa. Or is it Sansey. Wonderful way to make the sullied unsullied. WHATEVER COULD GO WRONG. I have a feeling that this is *not* going the way of the book marriage at all.

I really didn't enjoy that episode, I thought the pacing was extremely sluggish and writing was very poor. Aside from a few standout moments it might honestly be one of the worst episodes in the show's entire run.
My fears are starting to become true, D & D's fan fiction is dragging the show down into mediocrity.
Top episode so far, it moved so fast it felt like 10 mins long.
Highlights:
* Jon killing that shit Janos Slynt, that asshole had it coming since season 1 when he betrayed Ned. Also Stannis giving the tiniest nod ever was the equivalent of him saying "ATTA BOY!" It was amazing.
* I love that Margaery is ramping up he scheming, her breakfast scene with Cersei was magical how she was laying the insults into her, while not saying a single insulting word.
* The little scene with Pod and Brienne, those two are so great together and her back story of how Renly treated her with kindess was great.
* Sansa marrying Ramsay, this can go in so many different ways, but since it is new to the show, I am excited if done well.

An amazing episode. The high point for me was probably the Brienne/Pod scene. What a fantastic piece of acting and storytelling. Right up there with the Kingslayer monologue. The low point was Jon and Davos. For some reason, it just didn't have the impact it should have. It was still a good scene, it just wasn't quite as powerful as it could have been.
I freaked when I realized Sansa was betrothed to Ramsay! After all my obsession with who LF was marrying! I was horrified at first, and I don't think LF's speech should have been enough to sway Sansa. But now that I've gotten used to the idea, it could be really fun to see how this comes together. What's going to happen once Sansa notices Theon? I wouldn't be surprised if he got past how humiliating his situation is and tried to warn her about Ramsay. And if Stannis is sending a force to Winterfell, there are so many possibilities! Especially with Brienne charging north! It's possible that events will move too quickly for there to be a wedding. And if there is a wedding, Sansa may well be more than a match for Ramsay. She's not Marge caliber, but I think she could maneuver him into doing what she needs done. She should start by having him kill LF.
There were just too many good moments this episode. I don't want to ramble on all night.
I was so happy with this episode, it could easily become one of my favorites.
Margaery and Cersei - LMAO. These two are practically at open war. I think I can see which route is Cersei taking, her becoming close with the High Sparrow and his fanatics can only be bad news, but I wonder if she really imagines she can control him. Because the way I see it, she doesn't stand a chance, and she herself is in danger because honestly, nothing would stop Lancel from spilling the beans, actually I think he's even more prone to, now.
And speaking of Cersei and her creepy acolytes....FrankenGregor! Wut da fuck are they doing with that abomination of a character?
Brienne and Pod - no need to explain why I loved it, it was such a tender and honest scene. It made me believe Brienne will definitely reach a point in which she'll have to choose between keeping her vows and protecting someone she really cares about, in a situation where these will be completely incompatible. And like I already said in the other thread, bringing her, Sansa and Stannis to Winterfell this season can only mean a terrific story - which will be completely new for all of us!
Speaking of Sansa, I'm still amazed at how much I enjoy Sophie this season. She looked almost majestic riding into Winterfell all in black on her white horse, and then staring down Roose with so much contempt. Yessssssss. Wouldn't it be a surprise if she ends up being the one to bring down the Boltons and avenge her family? I think she and Stannis need to have the talk he had with Jon.
BaSi mentioned the Jon - Davos scene, I too thought it could have been better, but in terms of impact, something tells me what Davos told him will stay with Jon, and he will eventually become more involved than he planned. He has to, otherwise his story would just stop here. He seems to be taking one bold action after another. Bold, but not mindless, which makes him a very good leader so far. Let's see if he can keep it up. The scene with Thorne and Janos was pure gold. Fantastic buildup and great acting all around. Jon too is becoming one of my favorite characters this season, and I can take this chance to swallow everything I said about Kit not being convincing in the past. He acted just as he should have, to show the growth of his character. Well done!

Also, Tyrion and the Whore???? My lord Dinklage did it again! What an amazing little scene jam packed with so much sadness and inner turmoil. THATS how you write personal misery, GRRM. Take note.

Rhaegar, despite wounding Robert, was struck down with a massive blow from Robert's warhammer, which scattered the rubies encrusted in Rhaegar's armor under the water. Rhaegar died with Lyanna Stark's name on his lips.
You know how some drill sargeants drop off recruits in the middle of the wilderness to see how they survive? I think Littlefinger bringing Sansa to the Boltons is the same thing. It will be time for Sansa to step up, use everything she has learned and see how she fares. I am afraid however that Roose and especially Ramsay are not your average pawns.
Can't wait to see how it pans out.

Tyrion certainly wasn't keeping a low profile in the whorehouse. I know he's in Essos, but he practically screamed his identity. But yeah, a wonderful scene. Our poor Tyrion needs to start doing Viarga commercials to raise cash.
And I think Sansa will do well with Ramsay because he will take her at face value. I don't know that Roose will be as foolish. That face off when they met spoke volumes, and he is unlikely to underestimate her.
Good thing Ser Jorah had his "dwarf kidnapping kit" handy!
Talk about a another chance encounter, of all the whorehouses in Volantis, Tyrion has to walk into that one, and what will Vary's do now?
Roose Bolton is no fool, he will keep a close eye on Sansa, and he knows he should not let Ramsay alone too much at his own devices, when he gets bored, bodyparts get flayed. Theon was a valuable hostage and Ramsay made him into a shell, granted Sansa is worth lots more, so we shall see.

Yup, but will the other houses swear fealty and pipe down when Ramsay weds Sansa? After she weds, and lets hypothetically say both Boltons die...wow...Sansa would truly be wardeness of the North, wouldn't she?

Thing is Roosey knows that Bran survived. He is the heir of Winterfell, not Sansa. No?
Since Bran went north of the wall, he probably thinks he is as good as dead. I wonder if Roose sees Jon Snow as a threat, afterall Jon was only a pen-stroke away of becoming a Stark.

Too lazy to read the other threads but I watched the first three episodes and I must say I am really bored with this show. What is worse, it looks like a lot of the actors are bored too (Dillane and Conleth Hill spring to mind, there's nothing for them to work with). The writing is atrocious and a lot of lines make me wince and vicariously ashamed (wut). What else annoys me in the show? the extras! Come on, give these people some direction, the Meereen scenes are dreadful. Special shout out to the awful character that is named Sam and the terrible "hey let's make Jon the boss" scene, an important scene that looks like it was written in 5 seconds and shot in an hour.
Was there anything I liked? Yes, Roose, I like Roose. Let's give that man some more scenes. I think Kit Harington is growing as an actor every year.
Brans gonna come back and be like, step aside bitches, I got fireballs shooting out of my dick now.
Honestly, though... Bran may never come back. Rickon is more likely.
On the episode... I loved loved loved it, every bit of it.
+That Brienne/Pod scene was amazing- the best acting this season so far. Finally we get to see this side of Brienne, and her relationship with Pod develops a bit. I want him to save her in battle by the end of the season, to prove he's worth something.
+Sansa manning up, awesome. I hope Littlefinger has a detailed plan, because this can go very, very wrong. And then there's Reek! Alfie is just the best. He didn't say a word in the entire episode and still managed to do the job, avoiding Sansa and all. I can't wait for them to talk. Also, Roose is awesome.
+Volantis was just art. Movie quality. lol at the Dany whore, and Jorah and Tyrion are going to be the most grumpy couple ever. Can't wait!
+The High Sparrow seems so nice, whereas his followers are pretty cruel. I wonder if he has that cruelty in him as well. More Jonathan Pryce please and thank you.
+Margery manipulating Tommen and completely owning Cersei... Cersei is probably planning revenge for that.
+The Qyburn and Mountainstein tease. Now, if the Hound found a Maester behind that rock, maybe they can still duke it out. CLEGANEBOWL!
+Jon and Stannis are getting close. I loved the nod. I also think Jon fucked up way bad with Slynt. At least he didn't get the Night's Watch to hiss at him, though... Kit Harrington is ace. As are Thorne, Sam and all of Team Stannis.
Everything they're doing with Winterfell is new. I can't wait to see Brienne, Stannis, Sansa, Theon and the Boltons converge in one big battle. And I think the Boltons are going to get fucked up real good. I also think Brienne will meet Stannis, but not kill him. I think she'll realize that she needs him to save Sansa, and that's when her vows collide. Eventually, I think she'll realize Stannis isn't half as bad as she thought. Either way, the North is my favorite storyline now- with Reek (my favorite character- books and show), this awesome new Sansa, the Mannis, the worst people in Westeros aside from Walder Frey and BriPod. I love the slow build this season.
I love it, Jent! I hadn't even thought ahead to Tyrion/Jorah. That's going to be fantastic! And Varys will think Tyrion ran off. I think Essos might finally become entertaining.
Shit, I actually forgot Arya. Maisie is just the best, and I love this arc both in the books and in the show. The House of Black and White interior is awesome.
