While season 5 is still fresh, and I usually get my final thoughts after I watch the Blurays, here is what I think at the moment:
#1: Season 1:The one that started it all, while the lower budget is apparent, the solid, focused characters and story is what hooked us all. (Score 9.5)
#2: Season 4: Pretty much very steady quality, very few low points and awesome momentum all season. (Score: 9)
#3: Season 3: Also very steady, but a bit slow in some parts, but ends on a gutwrenching high note that still hurts till today.(Score: 8.5)
#4: Season 5: The most uneven season, very slow at first, with some very poor stories ( Dorne) yet some AMAZING highs, like Hardhome. (Score 8)
#5: Season 2: Other than the big Blackwater finale, a slow season, where even Dany and Jon have little to do. ( Score 7.5)
Even at it's worst, GOT is still a show in a league of its own, and I am invested to see how it all ends.

1. Season 4 - I really do think they went balls to the wall with this season, and that it paid off massively. Even the filler I found entertaining (the mission to Crasters). Bran could have dragged it down but he was thankfully in very few episodes.
2. Season 3 - Yes, it can be very slow at times, but I like the more intimate focus of the season, and it had massive payoff in the end.
3. Season 5 - Obviously Dorne sucked, and there may have been slightly too much Ramsay, but I really dug every other storyline. Stannis' story, the Wall, King's Landing, all fantastic IMO. Arya's stuff was a slow build but it got so crazy in the finale that it was worth it
4. Season 1 - Obviously great, but I just feel that the first half was filled with clunky exposition and poorly put together scenes. Also, scenes aren't given the time necessary to breathe. Basically all of Dany's scenes are 1 minute long. Still, the second half is fucking awesome
5. Season 2 - Felt aimless in many ways despite the strong story lines (King's Landing, Theon), though it had an excellent finish with Blackwater and the finale. Qarth was very poorly put together, Jon Snow's stuff wasn't great. Still a good season, and Blackwater is still my favourite ep.

Season 1 is still best for me. Season 4 is ok minus some major mishaps in editing. The thing is Oberyn made EVERYTHING better for me. Everything. He was awesome in ASoS and Pedro made it more magical if that was even possible on screen.
I am racking my brain, season 6 shook things up a lot. I might even have to bust out my Blu-rays and rewatch old seasons. I would deff put this season in the top 3, but how they measure up to each other I will have to see.
But for now.
1. Season 4
2. Season 1
3. Season 6
4. Season 3
5. Season 5
6. Season 2
