Loved Arya the best! She's a fucking Stark and she knows the Waif is coming for her. So she got Needle back. You go girl
Tarly dinner Gilly is my hero! Told both Dickon and Randyll off and the women of the house rock. Samwell was hilarious. Got Heartsbane. So we know THAT's important.
Dany better sail soon cause that was a total "Conquer Westeros" speech. Dothraki are not patient. I assume someone will get her 1,000 ships. Unless they all fly on the massive dragons
I squeed at the Tullys. I am so pumped I cannot even sit still. Also: TOBY IS COMING BACK
Slower ep, but that's good after the wallop of episode 5.
Benjen Mothafuckin' Stark, he is back and didn't need the fookin' pooks to get there! Omg, will he bring Bran back...to the wall...or Winterfell? Is a Stark reunion coming? ACK!
Bran's visions download had some nice tidbits in there...wow the Mad King going nuts and Jaime pwning him!
Gilly and Sam were great, she has grown so much as a character and she looked wonderful in a dress! Papa Tarley was a real shit, what a uncomfortable dinner scene, in a good way. Loved that Sam came back, and left dodge with sweet sword in hand.
So happy Arya got needle back, looks like she is done, but she never learned to use the faces properly, too bad. She better show the waif "the pointy end."
Kings landing was a snooze, as I thought the big showdown got diffused. However now Cersei is back in aggro mode, when Jaime leaves she is gonna make heads start rolling, sooner than later I hope.
Seems Dany finally is done with Meereen, lets hope she gets her ships quickly and gets outta there. Season finale confirmation?

Thanks for the link, Nym. So helpful seeing that broken down a bit. I hope they don't stop showing Bran's visions just because tree guy downloaded the History of Everything. I'm happy that Benjen is back, even if he looks a little worse for the wear. It's like Stark-a-palooza up north. They're just missing Arya. And she's going to jump on her murder pony and ride any minute now. I assume Gendry will pull up on his rowboat just in time to row her back to Westeros. With no shirt, please.
It's so much fun to see a good plan thwarted. Margaery's pious act was a little too good for Tommen. The kid has no guile. Olenna and Jaime got caught with their hands in the cookie jar. Such an entertaining scene. I think High Sparrow has one more trick up his sleeve. Cersei's certainty that she can opt for trial by combat has me thinking that HS has other plans. And he got Tommen to send Jamie away just in time. I just pray HS puts on a clean tunic for the occasion. And then...HULK SMASH!
Dany's scene was completely uninspired. Cool dragon though.
Didn't care much for this episode but some moments I really loved. The Tarly women, and Sam coming back for Gilly and stealing Heartsbane *gimme5bro*, Arya and the actress and the writing lol, nice little touch there, Tommen getting rid of Jaime and the HS owning everyone (I love this guy, I'm actually starting to root for him because the rest are idiots), but nothing tops half-WW Uncle Benjen. Thank you! I need nothing more from this show, my heart is ar rest. Too bad he can't pass through the Wall and is probably doomed to live forever unless someone *coughJon* does a mercy kill on him. Poor Benji, he got stabbed with an ice sword, then got a dragonglass by-pass and is now probably waiting for death by valyrian steel. Damn Starks can't catch a break.
PS: Read a cool theory that the HS will nominate Tommen to be his champion against the Mountain at the trial. Now that would be a brilliant move.
Hahaha Tommen can't even handle Ser Pounce! That is a bit silly and a champion needs to volunteer their services, you can't just force someone to do so.

He'd only need to convince Tommen the faith will protect him, because then he'd put Cersei in a corner, no way would she accept to put her son at risk, so she can't win.
Loved Benjen, Papa Frey, and Arya. Was ok with Sam and his family, although it was slow, but Gilly was worth it. Hated all of KL, thought the Tyrell army scene was ridiculous, guess we are in for a Bri and Jaime reunion at Riverrun. Nice to hear Bronns name again, seems like he will be going with Jaime. Dany sucked hard, not even Drogon saved that scene.
I cant remember if they mention Edmures wedding as the Red Wedding in the show. But hearing Walder say it twice made me chuckle.

Solid episode. Good character moments for Sam, Gilly, Arya and Jaime.
I think Arya vs the Waif will be epic, by far Arya's biggest challenge yet. She was trained well, but can she defeat her master?
Sam taking Heartsbane was a very nice touch. I wonder if Randyl will send for it. Or even come himself. Gilly was also nice, though I wonder if Sam has made a mistake not leaving her there.
Benjen was really cool, but his screentime came instead of proper fallout to last episode's Bran scenes. So much sacrifice deserves a reaction. And besides, the Night King's mark- is it still there? Please D&D don't make Bran the idiot who causes the Wall to collapse. Please... Though I guess it would fit if Bran is both responsible for the raising and the fall of the Wall (I support the theory Bran=Bran the Builder after The Door).
I'm glad we're getting season 3 characters return in full force. Edmure, Blackfish, the Freys, and even the Brotherhood were mentioned (but will they show up? perhaps not).
Dany scene was nice visually, good to get her riding Drogon again, but her speeches are getting very very old. Happy that she's deciding to leave Meereen behind, but I kinda knew that was coming anyway. What she hopes to leave behind in Meereen I have no idea, but perhpas Tyrion will convince her to leave Wormissandei as her envoys along with most of the Unsullied. She won't ever have 1000 ships, so she'll need to leave half her army behind anyway.
And King's Landing... when it all blows up in the High Sparrow's smug face I'll be very very happy. I wonder how Cersei will do it.
As for Jamie, how does the lord commander of the king's guard not know where the king is and where he's been going? You had one job!
Tommen probably lied to him. We can see he has three Kingsguard with him in the Sept, all wearing new Faith armor. So he wasn't going undefended. Tommen probably spilled the beans on Cersei's plan, which gave High Sparrow no choice but to cancel Marge's Walk and take advantage of the situation.
But did Tomnen know about that plan? I thought from the council scene last week that he didn't.
I don't think the HS ever intended for Margaery to do the walk, or that he even cares about her being a true believer or not, but he does care if she acts in such a way as to influence Tommen. As long as he can keep her playing this card, Tommen is the only one genuinely fooled and under the HS's influence, which is all he really needs.
Cersei's certainty that she can opt for trial by combat has me thinking that HS has other plans. And he got Tommen to send Jamie away just in time. I just pray HS puts on a clean tunic for the occasion.
I am sure of it! Why do I get the feeling that HS keeps looking like the proverbial cat that ate the canary?! He has some plans for sure. And I hope he gets some shoes too besides the clean tunic
I agree with Macha that HS looks in retrospect like he was working to get to Tommen, because he himself was poisoning the king's ear and he had Margery work herself out of the whole situation by getting him the kid. Total win for HS on that front so far.
Oh come on, the minute the HS starts giving Tommen "bad touches" its all over for the Faith. And you know that is EXACTLY where GM is gonna take that arc.

Yeah, seems to me that Tommen didn't know, since Cersei was essentially exploiting a loophole in his orders. If Tommen had known, he most likely would have told Margaery a rescue party was on the way, and she could have avoided embarassing the Tyrells in front of the whole city. I also agree that it doesn't matter to the Sparrow whether Marg truly converted, he owned their asses regardless. Man I love this guy.

Rhaegar, despite wounding Robert, was struck down with a massive blow from Robert's warhammer, which scattered the rubies encrusted in Rhaegar's armor under the water. Rhaegar died with Lyanna Stark's name on his lips.
So it seems Dany has switched gears, after trying ( and failing ) to rule in Essos, she seems to be in conqueror mode again.
But I am wondering if ( and I hope its true ) leaves Essos this season and arrives in KL will it happen just as the shit hits the fan? Or will she take over KL and then deal with the WW invasion.

I will say one thing. I agree with someone else here that the cliché of Dany speeches at the end of an episode is overdone and just needs to stop right now.

How is it 3 years in a dungeon has not wiped the stupid look off Edmure's face???
Anyway, I wonder when we'll see R&V, again. I love Drogon, but I want to see the other two flying about, growing up, and having tasty charred mutton din-dins.

That seems to be the way of the characters in GOT. Arya, especially. Trying to be someone else and getting back to Arya Stark. Back to Dany. Dany the Conqueror, I heard that! Plus all this business with Bran seeing the visions of the Mad King (Aegon the Conqueror) = Dany not wanting the Iron Throne at all but to burn it all down and rebuild it how she wants it. In the HOTU, she sees the throne room all burned with snow falling. Mayhaps this should be in the crackpot theories, but makes sense to me, seeing how D&D are going with this story line.
