"The first part of the 10-episode series will debut 9pm Sunday January 15, and the second part will follow the next night at the same time. The remaining episodes will air subsequent Sundays and Mondays at the same time." -Deadline
I'm thinking there is going to be enough gratuitous baufin' in this series that even Halfman will blush, wooo hoo! Looking forward to it

I'm looking forward to watching it. Hopefully it's worth a second season.
It sounded like that to me, too, TW. So, will tune in tonight. I have mixed feelings about this. Have a hard time remembering that this is for entertainment purposes. Is this made up or is it based on true events? Not a catholic so I am not up on my popes as they come and go (no pun intended ). Jude is great in this: "I want American coffee!"

That was a total holy crap address. They thought to replace Spencer because HE was too conservative, and this is what they got I understand the feeling Ly when you say that is hard to remember this is for entertainment purposes.
Just want to mention that I don't know this Paolo Sorrentino who wrote and directed this series but it has a very unique feeling to it. Not that I'm a fan it's just unusual.

Yep, saw it Monday night as well. The relationship between himself and the nun that raised him is my focus. I want to see if she is going to become so disgusted that she eventually turns against him as well. Oh, and the "father" that did not get to be pope that "groomed" Jude's character? Wow, sour grapes much? Lot of hate in that guy, jeez. He's the dude from "Babe", the pig movie. I always remember him from that

The relationship with Sister Mary is essential, I agree. It's interesting because they already give you clues all's not what it seems when it comes to her. Remember her completely different treatment of the two boys when they first came in? Sure, she was kind to both but to Andrew she said "don't ever call me sister Mary, call me Ma" and to Lenny the exact opposite. Has to mean something. She probably knows Lenny's parents. Who knows, she probably IS Lenny's real mom and denied him the opportunity to call her "Ma" because it hit too close to home! I'm making my own movie out of it.

I saw ep 1 and it had a few moments, but the deep dive in organized religion was a bit boring.
Jude was good, but I would like to see him turn up the real evil, instead of being mean to his employees.

Is the young pope supposed to be evil?! I was hoping not. Besides I don't know why Sister Mary keeps saying he's a Saint. lol "I have no sins to confess " is a clear sign I have a bunch but I refuse.
