So what did ya'll think?

I thought it was a solid season opener, lots of reunions and I enjoyed Jon's first Dragon flight.
I need to rewatch again to come back with more elaborate thoughts.

Sums up that dragon ride for me.

I am hoping this is how ep 2 starts with Bran and Jaime.

exactly Disney like Ry.

So, I also enjoyed it, mostly all that remembered the beginning of it all. The first time. After few hours though, something started to smell. So I rewatched.

Is really bad I already started hating Jon-Dany thing? Because I think I do.

My greatest disappointment was the Jon-Arya scene. Years waiting for an awesome emotional reunion. And we got creepy Arya one more time. And Jon "whotefuckthisis" face. I wanted lots of fraternal love. Not weird faces hidden in a hug.

Is it me or there is something going on with Sansa´s face? It looked swollen.

Yara rescue was a bit fast but ok, looks like we will get a lot of this in future episodes. Lots to show in just few episodes

I did like the scene between Sam and the khaleesi  and loved that final shot with Jaime and Bran. Let´s get rolling Bran.

I never liked The Jon and Dany thing myself Andrea! Never saw it as any type of epic love to be honest and it’s too late in the game for me to even try. I also think Varys foreshadowed there a bit of how that will end by the end of the season “ nothing lasts”. I do wonder if it is just one of them dying or possibly a break before that due to Jon’s parentage reveal.

Yes, it did venture a bit into that territory.  It was one of my only real complaints about the episode.

I do think it needed to be established Jon can ride a dragon, but  I would have preferred it if they'd figured out a way to do that without it veering into the cheesy.

I never really got the hype about the Arya and Jon reunion. They had like, 1 scene together in the first season. I know they think about each other occasionally but it doesn't have the weight of characters we've seen spend time together reuniting.

My disappointment was that the big Theon rescue that they spent all of Season 7 building to was shuffled off the screen so quickly.

Anyway, decent 8/10 setup episode I didn't even mind the dragon flying cheese too much
