Would it be possible to put a page chooser (yuk, that sounds horrible, but I don't know how to say it) at the top of the page as well as the bottom? Many times i forget to choose the page from the main topic selection and it pains my lazy hand to scroll down so as to pick the right page after. If it can't be done, or ye think it's not a good idea, don't worry. It's no biggie.

Aegon, let's move the discussion about the mobile site here. DNA knows of your problem and tried the mobile site on four different devices, works for him and everyone else. I think the problem lies with your own device. Are you sure you're accessing the full version of the site? (at the top, next to login, there should be a menu option). I'm going to delete our previous exchange regarding this problem from the book thread, so answer me here if the problem persists. Are you able to do a screenshot? It would help in identifying the problem.
Hey Macha, forgot bout this thread, navigating is a pain in the ass on the mobile app. Unfortunately not able to take a screenshot. I dunno why it does this, never did it before. Yes I'm sure it's the full site.
Basically divide your screen in half, mine only shows the top half whenever I redirect to the full site. Cannot scroll further down to see the lower half. It's very frustrating.

Does your mobile have a touchscreen? Do you use a wireless connection? Perhaps the page doesn't finish loading. How do you reply to threads if you can't scroll at all?
Nope not touch screen, use 3G. Its like it doesn't finish loading, but usually if that happens my browser closes automatically.
Replying via the mobile app which works fine but can't checks msgs or chat.

So I emailed support, seems once you activate chat, the memory buffer of the site triples ( because of the constantly loading and updating chat window ) and will slow down mobile devices trying to access it. The mobile site is what it is, it does not have chat or pm since it would only slow it down and erase its function as mobile site in the first place.
I am on wifi or 4g on my devices and all of them have 512mb of RAM or more, and I can still load the full site on them, what model device do you have Aegon, please be specific.

Just to be clear, this is the ugliest, plainest looking site on my mobile phone. Plus, the threads are all exceedingly long. Not sure if I'm ever going to access it from there again.

Formatting and editing written posts. I am unable to send a post using the reply board and rendering it as typed. For Quote Responses , I line up using the same margins as the post and the resulting post still looks like it was written by a drunk person. For Quick Reply , the outcome is rendered just as lopsided. I have used the Preview tab and all looks great until it's Posted. What gives ? Am I missing something ? Worst is not being able to return and Edit missed words or incorrectly spelled words. Any suggestions ?
Read the Forum Optimization Notes and it sounds like you're making every attempt to remedy problems and identify issues. I'm not affected by mobile apps or devices but I'm very supportive about the Chat feature. Sounds like a good compromise in order to keep the site efficient and members happy. Thanks for that. I hope with future methods the mobile support gets a remedy.
Hey DNA thanks so much for your hardwork but I ave another issue. I have to reload a page asfter every 3 posts on the chat. Otherwise it refuses to do so, getting quite annoying! THanks

Anyone else have chat issues? I can't get a grip on what the problem is, the chat is set to auto refresh every 5 seconds. Does it happen slower for you or not at all? What is the browser you are using?

You can upload any file under 20mb from your computer, once you are in the advance editor scroll down the page and click the "add file" button

I would never think to come here unless I'm having a problem according to the title.
If I were curious I would never think to check this area first as I'd visit the site because I'd have no Issue to report or seek advice on. Know what I mean ?
Had trouble logging in again today with the whole URL thing. Was able to log in now for the first time. Happily though my mobile issues are sorted and the full site works on my phone.

I've been wondering about that too, Cary, but I just registered under a different username and it worked perfectly for me. Perhaps Rygar accesed the login page without registering first? I'm not sure Aegon gave him the home page for this site (have to check) but he shouldn't even be asked to login to view the contents.
I'm still using the old link ( even now ) of Winter is Coming Fan Forum. I have never found the new link to this site using a web search engine. As usual I presumed the problem uniquely mine.
Yeah, I tried searching for "winter is coming geeks" but didn't find anything either. I'm assuming it needs more time, same thing happened with the old one. But, Wildseed, are you saying you don't know the new address (DNA posted that in News) or that it just doesn't show up on a Google search? Do you have problems logging in with the new one?

Today is another day ( & approx 5 hrs since my last check ) And voila, the link is live. Others attempting to find us
should have no problem doing so.
Tir Airgid , there was no " problem " for me because the old link ( winter is coming fans ) worked just niffty, no problem.
In fact, I used it ( the old link ) to log on at 5:41 PST ( California ). I tested the new ( wic geek ) and that worked too.
It always helps to type in the web address sometimes I've learned and been trying since the announcement (just to test)
The issue was not a problem we made, but the timey wimey nonsense from the Forum's host site . The Warden has
