Voted for Bannermen, it might not be related to the title of the show but all the others seem so...wrong!

Do you say this as a royal  jest  to the king ( Aegon ) ? Jape ? Why not !

My vote was Bannerman but I still prefer titles. It cuts down on the gender confusion for some.

Yesterday at WiC, Aegon called Claudiu Gerghanu ( Gag me now ? ) a GIRL ! And forgot that Rygar

is one too even though I told him some time ago :D

Ummm.... YvyB you are a Gurl? Are you not ?

I must've missed you telling me Rygar is a girl, I remember asking though.
As for CLaudiu I explained that his name is considered a female name over here as well as every variation of it except for Claudius.

I read this and just kept laughing because it's so obvious for Romanians that Claudiu comes from Claudius, and Claudia from..well, Claudia. Heh, cultural differences and all that.

But please, let's not talk about some other people's sexual orientation on an open thread without them being around, especially since we're talking about WiC regulars. It just feels like gossip and kinda rubbs me the wrong way. Thanks, all!

So far none of us seem to care much for gossip, especially idol. I think the slight shift of subject was in
reference to " titles" and nicknames for the site. ironically the issue was also addressed at WiC about
the same day and time by Aegon.

We shall Keep Calm and Carry On , as they say. No worries.

Thronies appears to be the right fit for this woman. Bannermen is too generic, and Fannisters assumes an association with the Lannisters, while Throners could be used as a verb?

Agreed, I don't think we have a good enough title. Perhaps one day when Martin gives the planet a name.

I am also quite curious what the planet is called. Some people call it Westeros, both the continent and the Planet, but that seems inaccurate.

I've heard people call it Planetos (since all land masses seem to end in OS), for lack of a better name.

Regarding the name, anything but Thronies... Pleeeeeeease... I can't help thinking of lots of tiny toilet seats!

Come to think of it, a woman thinks Thronies might sound a little like Bronies, which is a sexual perversion if I'm not mistaken. So I'm now leaning toward Thronerosi because it's gender neutral and is a mash-up of Thrones and Westerosi.

So, DNA, can you do a new poll and add some other choices?

GOT Geeks is sooooo generic...you grab the item and just add "geeks" behind it! I always like "Thronies" and it's a nice gender neutral one.

And Braavosi...

Oh, Mrs. H'ghar, that one is so full of win! Thronerosi! Thronerosi!

New poll!

Thronerosi sounds like a Greek-Italian gangster name.

Woo. haven't been in this long forgotten thread for some time. I tracked ser Rygar here actually biggrin

I am busting my gut laughing at your post here. It is documented here and WiC that our very king ,Aegon

the Conqueror believed that I was a " dude ".... for several months  hmm . He went to  characterize most of

my comments as dude like. I am still chuckling because I tend to be neutral ( of something I'm unsure ) or

beg the question to set me straight. I am quite timid at posting my personal opinion online and WiC is the

2nd Blog in 3 years of online computer experience , that I have. So I was both flattered and questioning, as

I've had very little feedback in the social networking scene.

I distinctly remember that same week , that Ours is the Fury went on record as stating for the record that

her gender is female too. That totally disarmed Aegon and he asked then if anyone else was gonna come

out as female, because he did not want to offend anyone. There were a few replies and " I was cracking the

fuck up"  ( LOL  biggrin). Darquemode confirmed his gender methinks.

Around that period there were many postings of  DH87 at WiC , and I recognised her from SVB ,where I started

out ( Charlene Harrison's " Sookie Stackhouse " character ). She got a bad wrap at times because she posted

with an authorataive style. I can state here that she is a media insider and knows what the fuck she's talking

about. Anyway , I followed a few threads between you two , that were a funny exchange, and guessed that

both of you were female. I relayed that to Aegon and I am sorry about that . I am now laughing so hard  but

I mean that ( sincerely smile ).

To make matters worse, I suggested that Macha was a dude in spite of her very female avatar , LOL. Batshit

crazy loco stuff from my imagination. I also thought Cary was a lady.

So, to our not so new anymore resident, ser Rygar , you are truely christened by all of us as decidedly Male, and

given full honors as a Knight. You are free to seek any employ at any castle and entreat with other tourney

applicants. You are welcomed at any table where Salt and Bread is served, as decreed by the king.

I voted for Throners! It's toilet seats for adults.

(Tir posted that in 2012 and it was not known as Planetos yet. Wow!)
