I really like the return -to-the- City of Angels - Episodes ( or Manhattan episode ), these always remind me of the vintage Doctors and have a continuity in that respect. Somehow Dr Who travels back to the " Big Apple/ City of Angels for some reason. I can no longer look at these statues in the same manner anymore, without considering something sinister about them. Now I understand why Clowns give some people the frights ( with so many ghoulish clowns about ).
The end of Pond episode had better synchronicity than most. I did not truly weep, but I felt sad for River and ... well all of em' at certain moments. When Pond told River to " be a good girl " and Rory said " there isn't anything I'd do for you ", a lump in my throat became present. Yet no tear, there was too much ....inconsistency for me to really appreciate . I kept asking why and when did this suddenly become a rule ie. { 50 years are fixed points/ The Dr no longer on any wanted lists, not just the Daleks / how did Rory and Pond survive in that hotel until their death___did they eat ?/ and why can't the doctor eve r meet them again__anywhere? Why the hell doesn't Dr Who have a Vortex Manipulator like River Song's ?? } . I mean I get the time distortion stuff, the Timey Wimey and points of no return. Yet there were a few creative license issues taking place with Moffat's script. It just didn't feel cohesive, even the Weeping Angels. Suddenly they were vocal and approached even when someone stared ( the last scene ) . Don't get me wrong, I loved the episode. I also had to to either accept new facts or gain insight of what it takes to glue a story together. Bye Amelia Pond and Rory Williams and dad, it's been fun.
I liked David Tennant immediately and ended up disliking him by the end. With Matt Smith it was exactly the other way around. But I may be blinded by his awesome sense of fashion.
Season 5 done, Matt Smith has grown on me...second best doctor...lets see how does next season. Amy Pond tho...phew...favorite companion...maybe it's her short skirts.

Saw the Xmas special, other than a silly villian I did like Matt and Jenna's interactions, I think they should make a fine pair. Now we gotta wait till April....waaaah!

Oh Don reminded me re: the silly villain - which was true, although the little twist with him as a boy was nice. Predictable, but nice. I forgot to say this but RICHARD E. GRANT!!! That man makes me happy. I wish he had a juicier part.
She MADE it??? How????? asdfghgj that's gorgeous!!

Hmmm so Doctor Who comes back March 30th, just a day when the Walking Dead finale AND Game Of Thrones premiere debuts!......that will be a geeky weekend.

This one seemed a bit weak coming from Moffat, however I love Celia Imre (Mrs. Whatever her name was that starts with K) and Clara & the Doctor have awesome chemistry. She's probably the first companion that I really, truly like, apart from Donna. So here's to a new season - or is it a half-season? - full of random, sciency stuff. PS: Was that Richard E. Grant at the end of the episode? The Great Intelligence, I mean.

The boy did ask if that was himfrom the other ep. but I missed him and he wasn't on again , so maybe. I like her too and I love
Celia in anything.
Have you heard anything about the 50th anniversery ? I put in chat yeaterday but I'm not sure you saw.
I am really liking Jenna as the new companion, she has a spunk, sensitivity and vulnerability that makes the character unique and while she is a bit enigmatic I like this kind of enigma over the River Song one.
Ohh! Next week we have both Davos and Edmure Tully in a single episode! haha I love GOT actors appearing in Dr Who!

What is this I don't even....worst episode in years. This. was. written. by.... Neil Cross?! Do you know who Neil Cross is? Neil Cross is the creator of LUTHER. So what the actual fuck just happened here?
The Ghost house episode was quite fun, especially in the beginning going by the old school haunted house gimmick. But this is Doctor Who and things arent what they seem. The third act was kinda, hmm, very "Who" but a bit too much of a left turn for my taste, still one of the better ones this second half of the season.

Oooh I loved this one! Haunted houses work every time. I thought it would be bad when they introduced the other time-traveler, but that little twist at the end with the two monsters seeking each other was so sweet I let out a really loud "aaaw!". And the spy dude, hahaha, at first I saw him and for a few seconds I thought he was....Jory.
"The salvage of a lifetime. You meant the ship. I meant Clara." That one I liked. What I didn't like was the whole 'The Tardis is infinite and full of terrors' thing. Clara from the future was predictable, but not that bad. But God, the two Doctors meeting each other was so cheesy. Dianna Rigg next week, woohah!
The finale was wonderful, tying up and cleaning up this uneven season well. So what is the consensus on John Hurt? Is he the proto-Doctor? Or the Last doctor?

he's actually the 9th Doctor, which makes Eccleston no. 10, Tennant - 11 and Matt Smith - 12.
John Hurt will play the Doctor that destroyed the Time Lords, and that's the reason he renounced his name before his regeneration into Eccleston's Doctor. From what I understand, his character was developed because Eccleston refused to come back for the anniversary.
Here, Don. It appears to be pretty solid, and it makes sense. He obviously has to be a previous Doctor, since the current Doctor knows what this one did and is apparently ashamed of his actions.
I keep hearing Rory Kinnear. He's very good in other roles, but I' not sure I'd like him on the show. Then again, I said the same about Matt Smih, and he was terrific.

Hmm he's a lot older and balder than I expected. IMO you gotta go with an actor in their mid to late twenties.
