oh ok, I feel better now.Never watched this show, well, some episodes but never hooked me and this time I tried only for Capaldi. So, had to watch the entire thing and I thought that was very boring and all over the place so I wasn´t going to post here to say that. But now I`m glad you all felt the same or similar!
Yus, Capaldi´s new kidneys (and color ) was the best and of course he doesn´t know how to fly a phone booth. Imma keep watching.

Well andi, truth is that I think we all agree the majority of Doctor Who episodes are silly, messy and often really boring. Yet here we are, lol. Don't know why we like it, I just enjoy the silliness because sometimes it does reward you with a cool scene and it does fuck with your brain all the time because let's face it, after 50 years and god knows how many writers, you just can't keep it logical. I never analyze it or try to make sense of it, I just watch for the actors and the silly, random lines.
So stay here with us, the power of Capaldi compels you!
I can't be arsed to scroll back ... but has any one seen Dr Who at the proms ? I watched a repeat yesterday , so good . But did any one know our Shireen sang one of the songs? It was totally her ... any way , if you Whovians haven't seen it , it's worth a watch . Very entertaining.
Now to the show. I too thought the final bits were dragged out (pre new Dr) and then over in seconds ... but I'm still frightened of the Weeping Angels !!!
Btw look out for Capaldii in a new BBC series of The Musketeers... I kid you not! Oh and the queen is played by our Roslin Frey!

I just wanted to share my favorite television moment of 2013. Ever.
Because Christopher Ecclestone is why I fell in love with the Doctor.
He was my first doctah! Tho that gif is not how it appeared in the show...I wish it did...it was too vague.
How come I missed this post? He was my first doctah as well! Loved him to bits. I know he had his problems with the show, but the anniversary would have been even better with him around.
"Scottishness. I think that’s the main thing," he laughed. "I mean watching him, and I just watched episode two actually, you don’t go around thinking this is an older bloke as The Doctor, particularly. But then I don’t know if I ever thought Matt Mmith was young?
"You just think my god, he’s Scottish! And doomed dialogue doesn’t half sound great in Scottish. You say the world’s about to end in a Scottish accent, and you really believe it!"
So, it's aired. I'm downloading it. I look forward to talking about it, although it may not be until tomorrow.
Peace.
The cheesefest is back and I'm so happy. With new credits! I read they were made by a fan and picked by Moffat & Co after they saw it on youtube, how cool is that? I love the classic Doctor feel this new season has.
Many awesome moments in this one, and some very sad: the dinosaur translation bit ending with "can't see me" , the "you've rebuilt yourself again and again, there's no trace of the original you left" with Capaldi looking at the mirror (genius frame!), the scene with the poor homeless man and lol, Ser Dontos with his blink-and-you'll-miss-it crappy part.
Think I saw Dolorous Edd in the preview for next week.
The first episode with the new doctor is always tricky, I like that this doctor seems angry, tired and more ruthless. The bodypart snatching subplot was meh, but madame Vestra and Strax was awesome as always ( they could be their own spinoff show!)
I think we shall see a GOT actor in every episode, cuz British equity only has like 50 actors in total it seems.

The first episode went REALLY slow as far as I was concerned. The OLS was falling asleep and Tattoo Boy pretty much went back to playing on his computer, although I think he kind of watched the whole thing.

hahaha first Ser Dontos and then Dolorous Edd, I think GOT actors have only 10 minutes away to do Dr. Who cameos!
Nice episode, got to learn a bit more of this darker more curmudgeonly Doctah. I was hoping "Rusty" was gonna come along and be a companion, how fun would that be to have a Dalek tag along on the TARDIS?

I'm at the opposite end, I loved the last couple of episodes. I never wanted to see an episode of Doctor Who twice, but with these two I'm itching for a rewatch. I find the new dynamic refreshing, the action is a bit clearer and the characters seem better shaped overall. I can definitely see this change in Clara, who feels much more like a fully grown character. And Capaldi, well this is a man I can believe as the Doctor. He owns the screen.
This last episode was classic Doctor Who. The daleks can never not be ridiculous to me but whatever, at least this episode played to their strengths. "I am not a good dalek. You are a good dalek. " Now that was a brilliant line.
Danny Pink? Instant like. Nobody can tell me there is no connection between him and wutshername, Journey Blue? Is he her brother that died in that crash? We never got to see his face, I think. Anywho, Journey has companion written all over her, I think we might see her again in the future. Wait, was that Sgt Donovan from Sherlock? Edd! Why so grumpy and stupid.
I was seriously disappointed in the last episode. In addition to a part being cut (apparently "the Robot of Nottingham" gets his head cut off...and... you guess it... title character); it was kind of a boring episode.
But besides Mark Gatiss writing it, another guest appearance by a GoT actor. This time gets killed off immediately upon appearing. LOL.
