Oh Wow, Borderlands 2 had a pretty hilarious quest where you had to find "Prince Jeffrey" and "slap the crap out of em". I should play it again and record it for you guys.
Here you go:

I haven't had time to play anything since Skyrim. Unless you count messing around with Angry Birds a bit. Yup, my life is actually that exciting. I know you're jealous. Admit it.
Guys, guys. While you were here banning yourselves yesterday , I've been playing some really cool and different games. Have you tried any of this: Dear Esther, Kentucky Route Zero, Botanicula? I'M IN LOVE WITH ALL OF THEM. Dear Esther has no interaction whatsoever, you just walk around an eerie island listening to some narration and trying to make sense of a sad story, but the writing, music and graphics are incredible, also the little clues and unreliable narrator. Kentucky Route Zero has only 2 Acts (about an hour each) released out of five but it's so tender and surreal. Very indie, with great music and really good writing. I fell in love with it instantly. Both of these games feel like reading a book, very special to experience.
And then there's Botanicula, which is similar to Machinarium (awww, loved that one), also made by Amanita. Where is andi? Andi, come here and listen. I don't care if you don't play video games, you have to try this one and it'll work on your laptop too. The graphics and the sound are to die for! You play as Mr. Mushoom, Mr. Lantern, Mr. Feather, Mr. Twig and forgot the little one's name and you have to walk around a tree to save it's last seed from spiders or something like that, but it's freaking magical. Look!

Goddammit woman! how I ended up in this thread? I did look at the video, I played the demo and I played the game. Should say that I only did it because the animation and the graphics are so good and so so creative and funny. I laughed many times at the crazyness. Oh also the sounds of the little creatures...
You know Czechs have a great reputation for animation and drawing. They have (or had) amazing artists. We had a great show in our national tv about animation from all over the world (mostly shorts) and I especially remember the Czechs. There´s tradition in these games (also peeped Machinarium), you can tell. Thanks for the beauty and the laughs, was great. I´ll keep my hands away from computer games tho.

Just got a pre-owned PS3 and am playing The Last of Us. I'm so useless with the controller at the moment, can never find the right buttons, can't look/move where I intend to and am getting my ass handed to me on a plate
Still looks like a really good game once I get more used to how to use the controller and a feel for what I'm supposed to do...

Take your time and explore every nook and cranny. Read all the artefacts you can get your hands on as there's brilliant little stories told in letters left behind from people who lived in that area when the outbreak happened.
Use stealth whenever possible, especially when it comes to the clickers.
It's such a great game, enjoy it KM
Hi Al, I'm trying to stealth as much as I can but haven't got it all figured yet, when I try to throw things as a distraction it just brings even more hostiles running in at me I'm so bricking it about being ambushed I keep forgetting to look for bits and pieces too... Anyway just got to the part where I meet Ellie for first time. It's really immersive, life is going on hold even more than normal while I try to find more time to play it
I'm a bit cack with PC games using mouse and keyboard too, to be fair! I like PC games but am having more trouble with the newer games that seem to need more poke than my gaming laptop has
I played The Witcher on PC and loved it but couldn't get on with The Witcher 2, I find real time as opposed to turn based a strain...

Finished 'The Last of Us' (PS3), got very addicted to playing it and spent far longer than I expected to these last few nights, I have read comments about 15 hours of gameplay but took me over 30 hours - and that was at "Please hold my hand and tell me what to do, and lock my aim while you're at it" difficulty.
Found the combat very tough, died about 150 times mostly because I have terrible reflexes and co-ordination, and had trouble getting the stealth and strangle option to work consistently. Many points I thought I would never get past but got there through persistence and a lot of luck. Very cinematic feel and I liked the way the bond between Joel/Ellie slowly evolved.
Despite the difficulty enjoyed it greatly in a masochistic kind of way (very grim scenario) and while I got near the end thinking I wouldn't want to play it again very soon, I'd love to have another shot at it now! I don't play many games but that was the most addictive I have played by a long shot. I really wouldn't want to play that same level of difficulty again which seems to be similar or worse for some games like Demon Souls?
The only thing I missed compared with other games was any dialogue options so you are playing in a dead linear path with no choice but to follow a single plotline strictly, but the story is a good one so it didn't matter too much.
Not flawless but I'd rate it a 9 or 9.5 /10 and definitely recommend it.
END SPOILER
Spoiler
I liked the fact that it didn't really give you a pat ending and left it with unanswered questions that is kind of up to the player to decide on the morality of Joel's decision, whether his lie was justifiable or not and if he can really live with it - since we don't know if it was even possible in those circumstances to create a vaccine - I guess Ellie would have consented on the "can't be all for nothing" basis though, nice to go out with just that hint of doubt.
Enjoyed the part where you play as Ellie, could have done with a little more I thought although I struggled massively with the waves of infested especially the bloater in that building.
Definitely has scope to be a really good character movie once you take out the reams of stuff that is there just for gameplay, cast Rory and Maisie now!

Finally got around to play Telltale's The Walking Dead. Don, I remember you and Aegon used to talk about it, what was your ending like TELL ME TELL ME.
Spoiler
I got to Wellington with Kenny. Then left Wellington with Kenny.
Woohoo, loved the first episode of Tales From the Borderlands.
Everytime Zer0 showed up I kept hearing Clarckson's "All we know is he's called The Stig."
Ok, so I didn't pay $29.99 for the Telltale game subscription for PC... BUT I played Game of Thrones: Ascent! cause it was free on an Android tablet. Ahh, made me think of times when I had time or made time to built stuff and go on quests! Not bad.
Oh, anyone wants to play something cool and mind bending on a mobile phone: Quell Reflect. Ass kicking. I had to go on youtube for cheats for a level. OK for two but I'm not proud of myself!
