Here it is next to a normal egg. And yes, I have man hands. STFU. lol.

So I just agreed to adopt another dog, an older German Shepherd who can't find a home. She's in pretty rough shape, so she's getting shaved at the groomers tomorrow and then she can come out to the farm. I'll post pictures as soon as she looks presentable. I have no idea when that will be.
Yep, I'm officially an even bigger sucker than Gendry. And now I have to work up the nerve to tell my sister/roommate what I've gotten us into...

We had a dog disappear today. It took quite a while to figure out where that muffled whining was coming from when I called him. Then I realized he had squirmed his way into the haystack, probably chasing a cat. Poor Alex was seriously stuck.
Here's where he was, and his sister checking on him (for scale). I have no idea how he got in there!
To get to him, we stabilized the haystack to either side of his entrance, and then broke the bottom bale and pulled out as much hay as we could without collapsing the hay stack:
And then he was free!
The little imp is none the worse for wear, but I think he was stuck for about three hours. And now the cats will make fun of him. Finally, we plugged the hole to stabilize the haystack.
That was our unexpected job for the weekend. Let's hope Alex has had enough adventures for a little while.

No woofer pic yet, but here is Maliti the bull (with friends). At five and a half months old, he went to his new home today. He'll be the herd bull with 100 acres to roam. I couldn't be happier.
And for Atreyu, here's a picture of Pierre the Oberhasli. At 13, he's looking pretty good thanks to lots of supplements. He doesn't look that different than the 3 year old in the picture in my previous post (with Maliti).
this reminds me of other doggie (won´t say bitch, won´t say bitch), some months ago who fell from a haystack??? Dangerous there!
