Great idea, I was thinking the same thing last night while we were waiting and hoping for that teaser.
We were unlucky this time, weren't we? What other HBO shows premiere this autumn? I only watch Treme, and S3 starts on September 23, I think. Oh maybe we should watch for season finales?

Hmm I don't know if any behind the scenes videos will be released before a teaser/trailer comes out, and I don't see that happening before filming in Icelands starts. You can't have a trailer without any Jon Snow scenes. Which reminds me of another obstacle - the attack on the Fist. The Watch's fate is uncertain at this point, but it's too important not to show any glimpses of the coming battle...and for that you need a bit of CGI work. And I don't think they finished filming those scenes just yet. Part of them must have been shot in the studio by now, but I think they still need to complete them in Iceland.

But I was expecting a teaser like the one they did last year with "The cold winds are rising". Perhaps in November.

You will need that for a full trailer but not a teaser like we got last year with stannis' speech. Perhaps a speech by walder about betrayal and the slight upon their house. Or the Queen of Thorns saying something to Sansa.
One I personally would love and I suspect Macha to would go like this a black screen with eerie music playing in the background. Dolorous Edd gives his speech bout the dead ala Macha's signature after he has finished you get five seconds of wights swarming up the Fist.

Jojen and Meera look so ragged, I love it! Exactly what you'd expect from someone living in the swamps.
And the Blackfish at last, with a beautiful detail (those black scales) on his armor at 0:38.
YES! Locke is flying the Bolton banner, like we anticipated.
But Beric looks.....normal. Oh well, guess they didn't have to spend time and resources on doing extra CGI work in his case.

Charlotte Hope could either be someone close to Margaery, though I'm not sure she needs that many minor characters around her, or could be someone at the Eyrie, probably a mix between Mya Stone and Myranda Royce? Then again, not sure why she'd be needed this season...
Stephanie Blacker is killing me. Who is she playing?? Perhaps there will be some new footage from Iceland in the coming month.

Well we all knew they weren't going to introduce that other little minx, and actually Margeary did have a sex scene in the books. Paraphrasing a Cersei chapter quote in AFFC, I was present for the undressing and bedding of Renly and Margeary, he was a lusty man and well made. Can't think he didn't finish the job. Or something like that, so actually she did have. the only thing the tv show "fixed" was Renly's appetite. Poor Gethin acting like it disgusted him.

Ok got carried away but my point is who would she have sex with? Also we didn't actually get a sex scene with Osha, just a quick looky at the hairstyles of wildlings.

That teaser was such a wonderful surprise! I loved it.
Showed it to Mr. Tir who's a very casual viewer of the show and he was all like "Oh, can't wait for it to come back." Which I think it's the purpose. And it was so very effective, without spoiling any footage. Very clever imo.
