For those who haven't tried it, think of something half way between Swiss and Belgian chocolate that takes you straight into heaven at the first bite. They're working on obtaining one of those "protected origin denomination labels"... And man, they deserve it!

And no, you can never have enough chocolate! Look at the size of the last Easter Egg they make down there!

Or the 100m chocolate line for "chocolate day"....

lekerli sounds "lekker" (afrikaans for delicious or nice) and this chocolate looks divine. Here are some koeksisters (see above, since I messed up with the post. They are doughy fried in oil an then dipped in syrup. The dough is literally braided, yes. You put them in the fridge and eat them cold and crispy ;)

I should be ashamed, but lately the only recipes i made were english (wich is almost a crime in my beloved country). Muffins, scones (god i love scones), shortbreads , fruit and nut cakes, pies.
Wich i miss when i'm abroad : les croissants , ahhhhh les croissants and bread too.
I was born near Toulouse so i love Cassoulet (beans /tomatoes/onions/ duck meat and fat fat fat fat fat fatty fat), especially the one my dad use to make when i visit him, mussels recipes, croque-monsieur and so many more since our kitchen books are quite encyclopledias.
And i love pastries too : religieuses, madeleines, Paris-Brest (fat fat and fat), opéra, moka and my mum's îles flottantes.

all you said sounds wonderful but this caught my attention îles flottantes (not sugar monster here tho) ... I always thought that was a classic argentinian dessert! well, not exactly argentinian but from Buenos Aires City. Are we talking about this right? fluffy meringue and caramel?

A great way to eat chickpeas (AH Lebanese food, love it !) is to serve them with fresh onions, coriander, lemon's zest and sesame paste...
