What are you doing here, man? You're featured in every book and every tourney. You never win anything. Your cape is legendary. I see Cersei's giving you a hard time now. Sucks to be you. But get your shit together, get out there and DO something, for feck's sake.
You know you're an expendable character when even after such wonderful description I still have to look you up in Awoiaf.

That the Guy Robert kept around forfun .... did he want money or something?
Oh that squire who at the Battle of Blackwater killed two knights, took three captive and did something else, can't remember the details but I was holy shit! That's epic!

Anguy. Apart from being badass with the bow and winner of the archery competition at Ned's Tourney of the Hand, and his apparent luck with the ladies, why are you here?

Why introduce somebody only to kill them in the same chapter? This happens several times (like Maester Cressen I think his name was? Stannis's OLD maester who tried to off Mel?) Ok, sometimes there is a purpose, but seems like a time-waster in some ways. That's a woman's rant.
Jarl. He lived well, he died well. Oh wait...no he didn't. He was Val's beau for no more than a book page (guess who did the stealing part!), went of with Jon and Styr to climb the Wall, slipped and fell on some branches. Way to go, bro. Why were you here? Why did you leave us so soon? Because if it was only to emphasize how the Wall defends itself, we already knew that - GRRM does love his repetitions. If it was to set in nails the fact that Val's single now, well fuck, I think every male character in the North already made that clear. Damn it Jarl, couldn't you do something right just once?
Val: beautiful wildling there to flirt with Jon and be used as political pawn by Stannis? Or is her role deeper, more far reaching and important? WIll we get to know her better in TWOW? I personally hope so.

Here's another one: Justin Massey, one of Stannis's men. I recently reread the forth coming Theon chapter from tWoW, and needless to say his character might be going some interesting directions:
1. He is sent by Stannis to go to Braavos via East Watch.
2. He will assist Tycho to go borrow some money from the IB
3. After this, he will go hook up with some sell sword companies for Stannis's army. The Golden Company in particular is mentioned. I find this interesting, because well, aren't they currently hooked up with Aegon and company?.
4.He is ordered to give "Arya" back to Lord Commander Snow, passing there on his way to Braavos (gfiving us the impression Stan doen NOT or gives the impression not to know about Jon's assisination)
5. It is mentioned more than once that he tried to give Stannis council. Once, during the battle of Blackwater, where he urged Stan to fall back, I think and again in the forth coming battle next to the Frozen Lake. On both times, Stannis denies his council, chasticing him for doing so.
6. He is described as having pale, pale blonde hair (??), which at one point, is described as falling over one eye. I'm not sure way, but this immediately made me think of Bloodraven. I am not sure if his age is mentioned.
7. He is a knight withough lands or title, bearing the Massey sigil of three spirals (important?)
Thoughts?

After having reread AffC I can ask the same of (F) Aegon. I am now convinced he is not the real thing. There are too many hints that he is either a son of Illyrio (who is probably a Blackfyre or a Brightflame) and him and Varys want a Blackfyre on the throne.

My thoughts, too, on (F)Aegon. There is too much attention paid on his hair being colored and people not seeing his eyes. It's too "apparent". Illyrio and Varys are thick as thieves in that plot.

I expected him not to be because of Dany's prophecy. He'll turn out to be a Blackfyre/ Brightflame. But if we're wrong, Elia's child would take precedence just like Jon over Dany's claim. Not that it would matter since I believe that out of the three of them Dany will be more fit to actually rule. (that's if she finally moves west to Westeros.)
And *if* Dany lands in Westeros, he will probably turn against her rather than join her. She's is definitely not going to do what he tells her, lol. It seems also by this time that Aegon has already captured Storm's End too, which will piss off Stannis. Things are going to get very interesting :)
