Love this, it's beautiful. Love Kili, Fili and Thorin. I have some art up over at the fan art page, it just came out small. I follow the posting guidelines, but I don't know if it has something to do with the fact that it's a jpeg image.

Where is Bilbo? He´s just a witness of some sort most of the time. And the effort to make such a hero out of Armitage it didn´t work for me. He was just good because he was too much, over the top. No sobriety. But I guess is a directing issue.
Almost no script, no character development, no plot... just a storyline. But let´s forget about that because it´s Hollywood and they are forgetting how to write good scripts, the thing is the movie is not funny either or sweet or endearing or warm. It is just a loooooong chapter from this armed robbery that this trilogy will be. Such a small book. You can´t drag a little story like that.
It all seemed like a string of battles and Deux ex machina all over the place. You name it: Gandalf´s magic, the eagles... they are always saved by some great power from outside. They can´t solved things for their own.
Azog, the big orc, he didn´t have a purpose to move the plot somewhere. There is no doubt, no mistery, just "want to kill" is an empty reason. Just a huge excuse to show that Bilbo could be brave too.
Camera movements are unbearable. The guy did all the wrong (but "cool") movements money can pay but just at the end of the secuences he tried the useful and sensible ones. And the ralentis! oh boy, I guess PJ confuses epicness with cheesyness (and soapy). Use and abuse of CGI. And Radagast is just ridiculous. The references to LOTR movies were a bit shameful and cheap most of the time too. I wasn´t expecting a great movie but a bit of entertainment. But no.
Just 3 things: great acting (altough wasted) and few good scenes (mostly at the begining) and some shots. The riddle scene between Bilbo and Smeagol was good. You can relate, feel something but Smeagol is always great and I really like Freeman.

I would love to meet someone soon, but I don't think being single is sad. Just have high standards. But being wooed by someone who will be willing to write ME love letters in Elvish would be awesome (it's not my job to woo the guy). In any case I want to go overseas next year to work and travel. Maybe that will be a positive time to meet like-minded people. I've always had a feeling I would meet someone overseas and not in my own country. So it"ll probably take crossing the Wall to do that, HAR!
