I've tried my best to position our "brand", give us a voice, an identity. And build up a noticeable presence, and some of it must be working for we've managed to attract enough attention to be indexed in the one and only list (the one that can also be accessed from Wic's tumblr)!!!!!!!!!!!! (they're following us to)

I hope you'll like it, and that you feel part of it. It's got pictures, memes, videos, quotes, dothraki lessons, and little snippets of what transpires over at wicgeeks. If you have any ideas for cool new sections, please don't keep them to yourselves and let me know. arms.gif It's there to share in our geekness, to show who we are, what we like, what's it like in here, but it's also there for us to enjoy.  Our section is a page on our tumblr account where Tir has already started to add things that are about the members here - like when we discover something many of us like, a recipe, a band, Victarion etc.

Tir is asking for suggestions on how to better promote this forum there, as she will be in charge of our tumblr account. We don't need to be there, tumblr is more like an extended "about us" page, hosted on a different platform, that Tir manages.

Another thing I'd be grateful if you could contribute is by copying here your favourite quotes from the books or the show. If from the show, with who said it. If from the books, at least which POV and book (chapter # is not necessary).

I know some of them are in the quote thread but since that is done as a puzzle it's kind of hard for me to surf it and match questions and answers.

 You can't post there directly, because it works like a personal blog. Just leave here any suggestions and ideas, and I'll try to include as much as I can.

Alternatively, you can open a tumblr account and post reblog from there, and I may reblog your posts into the tumblr.

Just visited the tumblr and Tir, Yvy, and all the artists...WOW! A woman is really impressed by all that original art. And BTW, wouldn't it be nice if you gave credit to those who wrote those "Overheard" items? A woman saw one of her own posts (Oct 7, about how they will present UnCat) and thinks it only fair to receive credit for her words, no matter how brief. It would be appreciated and seems only fair.

As a rule of thumb, for the reasons stated above in Macha's post, to be on the safe side I only publish with name things that have been blogged elsewhere with name. Everything else I publish as something by one of us, as a group, to build up our community's identity and just to show how awesome we are together unless the person especifically lets me know they prefer otherwise.
