I am up to date up till the last episode where she spends two days with the rich doctor, I really don't know what to make of this show....yet I tune in every week.
What do yall think?

It's not for me ... I did try ... I was a bit where some guy and one of the girls trapped in his "art" I didn't like it ... it upset me ... so there we go ... Plus Badger turned over Ha ha ! I have no control ..
I find most of the characters unlikable and their lives unrelateable. Yet there is a very voyeuristic quality about the show that I dig. You get to see these people warts and all.
I also think it's both funny and brave that the plane-Jane protagonist that gets naked every episode is also the writer and producer. That says something.

This show is not easy to swallow and it is very hard to relate with the characters except you are like them. They are mostly horrible, awkward, entitled, privilege girls with too much self awareness which leave you almost without nothing to explain or add or think as a viewer. They are like that, they know how and who they are...blah blah blah. I don´t quite sure if Dunham is trying to say something about her characters... I think not, she´s just trying to "show" something as honest as she can. What´s the value? I don´t know yet.
I like that it makes me uncomfortable. How much I would enjoy that, I don´t know. Some scenes are great and the humor is quite good sometimes. The characters are unlikeable most of the time but I kind of welcome that. Elaine (Seinfeld) was unlikeable too... I know is not the same but just for the humor because Seinfeld wasn´t gross as Girls is.
Meh, I don´t know, need to think about it more. But I like it. I went through similar stuff when I left my house but my economy was very different of course. But yes, your friends substituteyour family in a way but I don´t think the show is about this.
I´m thinking here. We´ll see what Dunham has in mind.

If you can not relate to being insecure, confused, and set adrift into adulthood while still in your early twenties then you must have matured faster at an early age. Its not whether you can identify with each characters personalities, indeed some are "entitled and privilaged" as Andrea stated and they can be outright annoying if you dont see the humor in it, Dunham writes characters of all types, yet all share the same flaws, awkwardness, and fears that are associated with just being out of college and having no idea of what your life will be. And it is all done with a dark sense of humor that I simply adore.

I love Ray, he makes me think of Weeds' Doug Wilson in a certain light ! So you can have an explanation for my crush on Adam and his taxi driver nuts fantasies, i've got a male friend who acts a little bit this way (no the sexual thing, he is not a fuck buddy), he can seem very gross, rude, strange, raw and uncomfortable to hear on the outside but he is a peach inside (really, that's the kind of dude who can drive for hours just because he heard on the phone you were bad but he has got odd ways to comfort you ).
But i agree with Rygar, i kinda like all of them, Hanna reminds me of my own private and childish neurosis, Shoshanna of the little victorian control freak stucked inside me, Jessa of how cool i was trying to be as a young adult, Charlie of my dear cousin who is a sweet boy and willing to commit but unfortunate with girls who always want the "bad guy" stuff.
The only exotic thing for me is all the hipster stuff, cool clothes, cool furnitures, cool mates, cool places to party, all is a little bit too cool considering my dayly life. But at least it feeds my NYC fantasies. My daughter's father has an american friend who lives in Brooklyn, he's got a band as everyone there and i listened to his recorded gigs in the Knitting Factory, it was a Charlie's band kinda stuff. So i when i saw some scenes in season one, i thought "wow realistic" .... in an hipster way of course !

Ha. So Christopher Abbott (Charlie, Marnies BF) is leaving the show due to "conflicts with Lena Heady". Apparently Christopher did not like the direction Lena is going with S3.

I eventually did watch the rest of the season. I think the first season was much better? Or maybe I have already seen enough of these characters, except for Adam of course.
Ok, who watched the first two episodes of Girls S3? Its not my cup of tea but I continue to be mildly amused by Shoshanna. I may have a depraved crush on that personality. In any case, at the end of Ep2, what the hell happened to the chair? Did they leave it at rehab? I need to know.
I dunno why I watch this show, everyone is an unlikable entitled moron. Yet I think they are written that way on purpose. Meh, gotta watch something till GOT comes back.

I am not saying its badly written, I think the writing is sharp. And the personalities are certainly deliberate. I guess I should not say I am "hate-watching", but something more "voyeuristic" actually.

Still watching and still liking it but just sometimes. I love Adam, completely, idk what would be of this show without him. Jessa had some good scenes too. Hannah knows how to give these annoying girls a bad time and some hate.

I enjoyed this season. I thought the finale was good and the season as a whole reminded me of what I liked about this show to begin with. I am concerned about next season and if the events in the finale had anything to do with Adam Driver not being available to film while shooting Star Wars. Girls lives and dies with Adam Driver.

I did too! Still loving Adam. Need to watch again, two times I watched couldn´t pay much attention.

Ryyyy, I watched. Not sure what to say. Sometimes the effort to make the characters unlikeable is too much of an effort, idk how to say it. Too whimsical and stupid. I´m not sure. And Adam seems lost in the show now.

Yes, I know you do and we don´t suppose to like them is just that it feels not that natural as before.
