So I saw Mama, from Guilermo del Toro. It was damn well creepy and also had Nicolaj Coster-Wauldu playing two characters. The I just saw The Thing (the prequal), which had Christopher Hivyu (Tormund Giantsbane). Kit is starring in The Seventh Son later this year, together with Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore, based on "The Spook's Apprentice", a series of dark children's fantasy books.  Peter Dinklage was great in Death at a funeral (the one version), as well as the station agent and Lena Heady was a super creepy villain in Dredd.

We obviously have a diverse and very talented cast. What else is there? What other films/ series did you like/ dislike seeing them in? What else would you like to see the GoT cast do?

Kit was in the last Silent Hill movie...have yet to check it out. I loved the dimwit Rory Mccann played in Hot Fuzz too!

Been there, saw Silent Hill.  jonsnow is yummy in there, but not really a good flick, IMO.  Not enough like the game, either for game purists.

I love seeing Clive Mantle in Sherlock, I barely recognized him and made me miss the Greatjon even more!

I've also read some negative reviews about Silent Hill. I will still check it out because Kit and Sean Bean is in it though, if that's the only reason. I loved Rory in Hot Fuzz, I only realized it was him when somebody else mentioned it over at WiC. I saw both Carice vH and Liam Cunningham in a South-African based film called Black Butterflies, about Ingrid Jonker, a celebrated anti-apartheid poetess. Cunningham played her lover. They were both brilliant in it. Then I also saw Carice with Sean B in Black Death, this medieval film about the disease. Very cool.

Just saw The Station Agent. I am completely in love with this movie. I'm a bit in love with Peter Dinklage as well.

This one's a MUST. Trust me, it'll make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

I saw the Station agent too, Dink is great in it...playing the complete opposite of Tyrion. I felt so bad for him.

I saw the Station Agent when I heard Dinklage was going to be in Thrones and that director was going to do the pilot. Such a beautiful movie, that director has made two magnificent movies after it: The Visitor and Win Win.

Thomas McCarthy directed the pilot? I had no idea. I'll check out his other movies then.

Oh yeah and Dink was in Chronicles of Narnia too. I have seen Silent Hill now. It's not that great, however, I quite liked Kit's performance, thought he was more than just yummy. His accent and acting was actually quite natural, which shows what he can do when he actually gets some dialogue. Accept for the few cracks in the American accent, kudos to him. Plus he's doing a voice for a character called "Dragon prince" (har!) In How To Train Your Dragon 2. And will soon start shooting Pompeii (where he plays a gladiator).

Dammit, for a split second I thought that would be based on Robert Harris's novel, but it's not. Really awesome read, that one.

I adored that Robert Harris novel, it was a great read and I thought it would make an excellent film. Oh yeah, and who recognized Michelle Fairly as Hermione's mom in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1?

Yes, but she was on screen for what? 2 seconds. I can't even remember if she had any lines.

Yes she was :) I saw all the Alien movies and a much younger and very good-looking Charles Dance was in Alien Resurrection. He was so great opposite Sigourney Weaver.

Actually Dance was in Alien 3 not Resurection, for far too little time sadly.

Wanna see something odd? Here is Clive Mantle, our own GreatJon in a deleted scene from Superman 4. Where he played "Bizarro Superman", it's hilariously awful!

Wilbur Wants to Kill Himself. What is this movie?! It's a GEM, that's what it is.

Jamie Sives (*sigh* Jory...)  and Shirley Henderson could just be one of the cutest on-screen couples ever. Seriously, watch it, it's beautiful.

Started watching BBC 2006 Robin Hood series ... Viserys is part of the gang and Pip was in an early ep. Also the brilliant Keith Allan as the Sheriff.. is of course Theon's Daddy in real life ... as a delicious side note for the ladies .. the lovely Richard Armitage is Sir Guy in black leather ... (Jonas is a very pretty Robin too ) Really cheesy but good romp.

The Sheriff is a pantomime baddy ... wonderful.

Also, the chick that plays Miri Maz Dur, Mia Soteriou, I'm sure she is in Grimm, 2012. However, I can't find anything online about it. She plays either the spanish medium or the gypsy, I can't remember which, but if someone can verify that for me, I would owe them a gold dragon viserion

Ly, you're right, Charles Dance was in the third one. And what a pleasant surprise when I saw Benjen and Bran in Awakenings :D Joseph Maule does a good creepy/crazy guy. I recently saw After Earth (yes) and recognized my semi-namesake, Mr. Giantsbane, Christopher Hivju. Did a great little stint. Personally I liked the film. Don't always get the Shyamalan hate, or the ridiculous things he gets accused of in his films (After Earth= Scientology, wheuuuu??)

Spoiler

Speaking of which, just saw him in a little movie called Soundproof. It wasn't that good, but he was jaw-droppingly good, playing a deaf man. Just wow.

Also, wut the hell happened to that Arthur & Lancelot project?

Apparently (get this), Warner Brothers didn't want to take chances with Kit and Joel Kinneman, because they are as yet still unproven stars at the box-office. While I kind of agree, look at what A Knight's Tale did for Heath Ledger... So Colin Firth has now read for Arthur. But Kit did mention some time ago that if the film happened, he would be attached to it.

As far as uncle Benjen is concerned... I have a couple of theories (puts tinfoil hat on)...

Benedict Cumberbatch is fast becoming one of my favorite actors, he's still got a bit to go before he tops Hardy and Fassbender.

Just saw Dredd. Why the hell that movie tanked so hard in the boxoffice is a mystery to me, because it was one of the best comicbook-movies I ever saw. No bullshit origins crap, just cut to the chase story with excellent acting, effects and directing. Reminded me very much of the movie The Raid which has a similar plot, but doesn't have a GoT-actor in it (cop gets trapped in flat full of gangsters). So yes, Lena Heady was very good in this movie.

Dredd was alright, I liked it but it didn't blow my socks off. I have no idea why it tanked at the box office, I guess Judge Dredd is a niche comic book character.

More American's went to see Grown Ups 2 instead of Pacific Rim smh.

Cumberbatch is indeed very good, probably because he looks to be extremely dedicated to what he does. I'm growing a bit bored with Fassbender, don't know why. Must be all the hype. Hardy has a great potential, but honestly I liked him better in his pre-Inception/Batman days. Now he just seems....wooden?

How dare you! Hardy wooden tsk tsk. His Bane performance was breathtaking

Fassbender is a great actor when paired up with the right director, his work in Shame was oustanding. And even though Prometheus didn't live up to the hype I felt Fassbender was really good in it. Look out for a movie called 12 Years a Slave, Fassbender is back with the Shame director.

Not a fan of Fassbender either. He's not bad, but doesn't live up to the hype, imo. I haven't seen Cumberbatch in anything BUT Sherlock, so I can't really say anything about him as an actor in general. But he's a killer Sherlock. He embodies the character like I don't think anybody else could. Perfect casting.

Oh I know, big fan of Steve McQueen. That movie should be very good indeed.
Noup, strongly disagree about Bane. He could have done so much more with that part, but I suspect that was more Nolan's doing, since apparently he think a deep raspy voice is enough acting on an actor's part. See Christian Bale. But in the end the movies were fun to watch, so no biggie.

We should get back on topic though.
