I for one, hoped she'd be all throughout season 2, it's the only thing that makes sense to me. But this video has done a really detailed analysis of that theory and picked up on a miriad of details I didn't see, and I have renewed hopes it'll turn out to be true. So have a look and tell me what you think... will she turn up to be a spy?

well. it could also be just something she did see, with the slave bit added in for dramatic effect. if we're holding that the family situation is a sort of westerling burrito, her mother could be from there, lived that, and told her; or Talisa could have seen it on a trip, it could've touched her, and that's why she chose to portray that particular brand of foreigness, cause she knew it well.

I actually didn't think much of the video, until it mentioned Reginald and his wife in Lannisport. I'm going along with it for now, but there is one major fault in this theory. How could they be sooo sure that Robb would fall for a common nurse? It doesn't hold water. If she was a spy, the falling in love bit was not part of the plan, and this goes for book-Jeyne as well as far as I'm concerned. All that being said, if it adds more drama - and it does - I'm all for it.
PS: I'm not sure about the title of this topic, it seems a bit spoilery to me, even though it's S2 related. I'd rather we don't give any hints to the fact that Robb will be betrayed.

They didn't plan for her to fall in love with him. She was merely going to be a spy. The falling in love part was extra. I have a feeling she's not going to want to betray him in the end.

I think the idea could've been "since we're sending a spy to inform on robb's movements, let's send a pretty one. Maybe she can seduce him too. That, at least, will sow disent. Shit, the mere fact she helps both lannister and stark men sows dissent. And that's a bonus in itself."

And the whole Rhoyne moment is one big scam? I'm having trouble with this. Too long, too emotional, too honest-looking. They should have went with something else. Or perhaps she just witnessed it and that wasn't her brother? Or it actually happened at Lannisport? But wait, there are no slaves there.
I think the whole Rhoyne slave story could have been concocted. She could be that evil. Or maybe it's just the reference to Westerling Burrito that is making me silly because I'm starving.

Noup, I think that was simply there to give her something to do and to introduce the little boys that Karstark will kill. Probably, as someone as WiC suggested, to foreshadow the whole Robb - Greywind head swap too.
This keeps bugging me. She's genuine, I've made my call. They just want to mess with the book-readers, since they were well aware they don't trust her. The Jeyne Westerling swap/pregnancy/whatever theory was basically taken down by Elio and Linda as being just a writing inconsistency. The obvious reason why Talisa *show spoilers*

is present at the RW is because she'll die along with Robb and Cat, at least that's how I see it. It doesn't make one drop of sense to keep her alive after that.
That should win her some sympathy at least.

As much as I want her to be a spy, and will it with the same strength i want to smash jaime and brienne's faces on a kiss, I fear she won't be, and that her spyness, such as her pregnancy, is there just to tease book readers. I hope I'm wrong. It would make me hate her a tiny bit less. But it's a fools hope that I'm clinging to. Still I cling to it though, you can't help your heart's desires...

You know what would be really annoying? If someone were to come here and say 'well I hate to say "I told you so"...but I TOLD YOU SO!' Yeah. That would be very annoying. Which is why I'm not gonna do it.
