I was totally expecting CreepyTreeDude to make an appearance in S4, since they had no other way of finishing Bran's arc next season. However, I was sure he'd only make an appearance in the very last episode - a scene where Bran meets him and he only says one or two lines before they cut to black, something like that. I understand he's doing multiple episodes?
Huuuuge spoiler, be warned Saw an extra post on WIC Coldhands, by the end of the Season! Would not comment on Lady SH, but sounds promising

I was thinking, in the Tv show Jaime came back to KL earlier than the books. That will give him a chance to interact with Joff before Joff gets purplefied, and Tyrion before he gets jailed. They might even do a scene where Tyrion asks Jaime to champion for him against the mountain and Jaime goes NO HAND DUDE!!
Also in the trailer it seems Littlefinger is talking to someone at the Eyrie (Lysa perhaps?), and Cersei is probably defending Tommen against her father.

Wanna make a bet Al? I bet she is where Brienne's arc ends next season. Five dollah!
The more I read about next season, the more I think this will be how its gonna play. Wouldn't that mess with the gravedigger part though? I'm a bit fuzzy in my timelines

It might be Brienne's season 5 finale instead of this season.
I think the purple wedding occurs in episode 4, so Brienne doesn't strike out to search for Sansa till at least episode 5.
To make her do all her plot points in the remaining 5 episodes seems too tight to make Stoneheart happen.
At least to me....but weirder things have happened.

Ep 4? why so? I was thinking ep2 to allow for all the resolution, which is the meatier part, to pan out properly.

Tir, just something I heard. If it happens in episode 2, that would be awesome.
We'll know for sure once HBO releases the episode summaries/titles. Which should be soon!

Regarding Shae, the heavy Tyrion promotion got me thinking again about the methodical whitewash of his character and how unlikely it is that after the way they've changed his relationship with her, things will go down the same as in the book. Yet the moment is too crucial to skip so I do not think they'll make Tywin kill her like many ppl are saying or anybody else ftm.
I bet they'll have him find her in Tywin's bed, they'll have an argument and he'll hit her or something and she'll stumble and fall or hit her head against sth, and so her death can be construed as an unfortunate accident he unwillingly caused. So he can still blame himself for it, but it'll not tarnish him in the eyes of the viewers.

Tyrion's relationship with Tv Shae is more developed, but he did give her that necklace last season.
I do wonder how this Shae will betray him? Book Shae was underdeveloped, so when she was bribed it was no real surprise.
But last season Shae threw away Varys' offer, so what will Tywin do to make Shae turn? Hmmmm...

Remind me, did Shae threw away Varys' offer before or after Tyrion's wedding?
I think she'll just accept Tywin because she'll realize she has no future waiting around for Tyrion, and because she genuinely feels betrayed by recent events. It could be done without seeming unrealistic, frankly I'm more worried about her testimony against Tyrion in the trial - that one doesn't seem plausible at this point.
Oh an another thing, just a hunch. I think Tv's Shae's story will end differently like her book counterpart.
Last season they went out of their way to see Shae strike down an offer by Varys to escape KL for a large sum of money, she declines.
This scene was make specifically for the TV show.
I think next season Shae will NOT betray Tyrion, or if she does Tywin will make her do so for more than just money. Either he will threaten her or some other awful thing. How she will end up in his bedroom I have no idea.
Then it will be that much more tragic when Tyrion kills her and so much more deserving for Tywin to reach his fate.

Well, more than likely, she will not betray him as simply as she did in the books. The TV show character is very different than the book one, so I expect something more than just a financial offer from Tywin to make her turn on the man she genuinely seems to love.

I agree. They gave Shae a different dimension. It did not sound like book Shae. But her betrayal at the trial is so powerfully described in the book and the consequences of it in Tyrion's psyche are so compelling I got stuck on them.

Hmm, while reading the books I didn't think for Shae it was all about the money (with Tywin), but more about power and feeling safe, because she couldn't really count on Tyrion anymore. I think it's possible that they play the jealousy angle more in the show, and make it seem like her betrayal was caused by her loosing faith in Tyrion's affection for her. I think the looks she gives him and Sansa in the show are very telling, because it seems like she's genuinely hurt whenever she sees them together.

This would suffice for me. IMO they have gone off the rails with her character from the book, I can't decide if that is a good thing or not.

To me Book Shae was nothing but a sex kitten with no personality whatsoever. It was very smart of the show writers to make Shae Sansa's handmaiden, and her dominant teasing relationship game with Tyrion is really wonderful, I just wonder if this will change the endgame somewhat.

What is this sorcery?! A Petyr Baelish centered ep?!?! Isn't everything this season about KL, Meereen, Dorne or the Wall?! I am SHOCKED! SHOCKED I TELL YA! LOL
I cannot wait to see it. Sansa should have some reasonable screentime there too.
But why would Bolton care about Jon enough to send someone to spy on him? Is Locke just visiting or was he sent to the Wall like all the others? If so, I doubt he's doing it "undercover", he must have done something to piss someone off. Maybe it was on Tywin's orders, for what he did to Jaime.
You all know which Littlefinger scene I am looking forward to
I KNOW!!!!
Oh, Petyr! Petry! Yes Petyyyyrrrrrr! HAHA bet that one :P
The Motion has carried, this scene will be a hoot and a half, can not wait to laugh my off :)

Thanks AL! It looks like they do change bits and pieces when it comes to the Wall storylines. Like the new Carster's Keep attack for example. We'll see how it all works out.
Lady Stark, you me and AL should be here and comment online that scene
