I started liking Ros and started seeing that she would have some wonderful new potential. Should have known she was dead meat then.
You know when I first thought she's getting axed this season? When she stood with Shae on the docks, talking about how they both made it good. You can't have too similar characters in a show. But my, that was brutal.
Ok, not a great episode but some of the scenes I really loved, especially because they were so long and because sometimes it's good to have natural scenes that aren't desperately trying to be dramatic or witty. Sam and Gilly is a perfect example of a natural, no nonsense and honest scene. Sure, it doesn't make for great drama, but for a mid-season episode I thought it was good enough.
Now onto juicy bits.
Theon and sadistic hobbit - whoah! I was jumping up and down in my chair. Karstark, hah! I screamed a little. Iwan Rheon is the shit.
LF's monologue over the montage at the end, it just hits you that you're watching GoT. This episode was very reminiscent of S1, I thought. And Sansa crying while watching LF's boat departing. Mmm yes good. I also loved how cofident Varys etered the scene and how defeated he looked by the end.
The moment where Orell cuts Jon and Ygritte loose, I stopped breathing for a bit. I also like how you can clearly see Jon realizing he's in love with her after they hug and she proceeds to climb again.
Olenna and Tywin, bliss.
Jaime's dinner with Roose and Brienne. AAAAAW stop it! Roose was delicious. I'm saving all my Jaime/Brienne feels for the next episode, when I hope we get a heartbreaking goodbye scene.
Melisandre and Thoros - finally, people that can speak valyrian and act at the same time.
I don't have to write anything... I wait for Macha , she always says the same things I'm thinking ! Ha ha! Just like to add the stunning views atop the wall! Love the little finger voice over.. speaking of voices... Bolton ... dreamy. I knew my Ewan would be fantastic! also ... I had to tell myself , I know Jon doesn't die here , that was well done had me on the edge. Osha and Meera's pissing contest was great! I loved that they were actually doing it too! Also liked the fitting of Jojen, visually worked well. (Good call again Macha!)
Brienne's Dress! It's perfect! Well done costume dept.
Arya... the green eyes , brown , the other blue? Thoughts on this ? Hmmmmmm ...( I don't like her either .) Ok I confess I saw the leaked stills so Ros wasn't a surprise, I felt let down a bit tho' that we just saw the after and not the during ... does that make me a bit twisted ! (hee!) I loved how LF let us to the point however ...
Some great quotable lines again ... well done Cogman!(I think it was him again? )
I liked this episode, I like it when it slows down a bit and lets scenes play out. The Wall Climb was amazing and more exciting then I imagined it would be. You just don't get this quality visuals in any other Tv show,
I felt bad when Ros died, it was a bit of a shock, but thinking back it was implied that Littlefingers hates "bad investments" back in season 2, and boy he wasnt kidding.
Who else liked the final scene with Jon and Ygritte just looked over both sides of the wall? The music and the visuals were wonderful, a truly standout moment.

No no no. Let's get this straight. When Cogman writes, everything is perfect. Almost as perfect as when GRRM writes. This one was D&D.
Ya'll gotta watch out, lauding one writer over another. D&D write many scenes in episodes credited to other writers. Remeber Linda kissing GRRM's ass over the "Bronn/ Hound" scene in Ep9 last year, a scene D&D wrote not Martin. I see the GOT episode writing process as being highly collaborative, it would have to be otherwise the tone would be all over the place like the Walking Dead.

Of course, I *was* being sarcastic. While Cogman is an all around nice guy, with some good scenes under his belt, I never understood all that "he should write every episode" hysteria. Must the that "keeper of the mythos" vibe. Same with GRRM. Oh I can just picture the ass-kissing the next episode is going to get.
Funny guys D&D, here and there, twisted also but still don´t like the writing or the directing. Just few scenes. The Ross thing was horrible, let´s kill our own character with bad writing but hey, it´s Ross, some people wanted so bad to see her dead and they delivered. Rheon is good, that was hard to watch. Loved the climbing scenes and it´s the first time I like a scene between Jon and Ygritte, when she said she knows his secret and the other one when Orell cut the rope. About the last scene I just liked the views but the rest
They love to make scenes between Varys and LF ah? Jumped of joy there was no gash talking this time. "The Lysa Arryn of chairs", wut? Is the dialogue from the book? Chaos is a ladder. I liked that. Tywin, c´mon! tell it true! It´s us man.
Liked a lot the scene with Jaime, Brienne and Roose. This guy is a gem and yes his voice is amazing. Oh oh also first time I give a damn for the languages... loved the high valyrian, might be what Macha said. Just good acting.
So, a question... the Freys... nobody laughed?
YVY! when the QoT talked about "the change"

This is exactly an episode you couldn't have in the previous seasons where you have to cram a whole book into a season. My roommates are liking this season, but they are saying: they are not working towards something, which is not necessarily a problem of course. So I asked what they were expecting:
- seems White Walkers are out of play this season. - no ideas for the Jon story - Robb gets his army in the end and they either march on Casterly Rock or back to reclaiming the North - King's Landing, nothing will happen. - Stannis...? - Arya...? - Only character where something will happen will be Dany, setting sail to Westeros. - Theon is being held captive by the Greyjoys, they have no idea what will happen next to him.
Favourite character for them this season is the QoT.
They pretty much think this season will peter out. Which is good, because of course it won't.

Feel shared and puzzled. This episode is the one i liked the less. Odd feeling without shape. So what i liked : Rigg, she's so brilliant i could cry , love you Emma Peel, always did ... The Jaime/ Brienne/ Roose scene, loved the moment when Brienne helped Jaime , touching and meaningful. For the rest, don't know yet. And i'll miss Esme (and i'm not even kidding). I just wonder "what are they gonna do with Sansa ?" ans i'm not a huge fan of Mel visiting the Riverlands, even if the scene between Kaye and Van Houten was pretty convincing. Oh and Rheon made me feel really uncomfortable, so bravo boy (love the christic Theon, beautiful pictural translation)!
