I only saw up to season 2 of this when they showed it on TV here, I definitely preferred the Danish original (did you ever get to see this?), but I though it wasn't a bad adaptation.

Yep, got to see both versions. I usually hate remakes but in this case I actually think I like the American version just a bit more. The characters feel more complex, and the show overall feels more personal. I'm gonna miss it like crazy, never understood why it didn't have more of a following.
Man oh man, i can't believe it's over!!!!! Imma miss those guys so much. I was disheartened when I saw it was only 6 episodes, but well, it was a damn good ride. Now leave me here in the corner to mourn, please.

Ok, stayed up late last night to watch it all and by the end I was sobbing like a baby. Wouldn't rate it above the other seasons and I think the 6-episode format made it a bit messy and the writing a bit sloppy buuuut it still had amazing scenes and dialogue.
Spoiler
Linden's second meeting with her mother and basically every scene after we find out who the killer was were perfection. The scene where she pulls a gun on Holder was just wow. Masterful acting all around.
