Rhaegar, despite wounding Robert, was struck down with a massive blow from Robert's warhammer, which scattered the rubies encrusted in Rhaegar's armor under the water. Rhaegar died with Lyanna Stark's name on his lips.
Just saw episode 2. Must be the funniest episode thusfar yes? I loved it when it went to his POV when he was drunk and his drunk "Sherlock vision" text was hilarious.
Spoiler
I did guess the killer a full 20 minutes before Sherlock did, the camera was a dead givaway. You saw it when he took pictures of the guard and then same guy with same camera at the wedding. Duh, doy!

Ep. 2 was hilarious indeed, I was watching it with Mr. Macha and we were constantly asking "how can they come up with this stuff??"
Yep,
Spoiler
the camera was a bit of a giveaway, but I never thought the target was Sholto,
so there was a surprise in that at least, for me.
On the other hand, in ep. 3 I knew it would end with
Spoiler
Sherlock killing Magnussen and being sent to Eastern Europe, and yet they still managed to twist it in a way that surprised me still.
It's fantastic that they can still keep it fresh after 3 seasons, especially when - if you think about it it - they pretty much touched upon every major case in the canon.
PBS tomorrow night. Cannot wait to see what the big talk is all about. I loved the first two seasons and I am a huge fan of Sherlock in all its manifestations.
Was browsing through some of Conan Doyle's stories last night and I just realized Bill Wiggins (Lame Lothar) was the head of the Baker Street Irregulars, haha. Nice touch there.
Loved the first episode. I felt really bad for Watson for being left out from the whole plot but obviously that couldn't be helped. I think I'm still confused though on how everything was put together. Probably will have to see it again LOL

I've just read today about the premiere opening up in cinemas across England at the same time it's running on PBS here and BBC in UK. And that clip with Mrs. Hudson saying she's not a plot point
So much fun, so refreshing. There´s a really hilarious scene. Was all the time thinking Macha will , something really surprising happens to a character. There´s a good humor all around, as always but I thought this was great. There´s some tribute and some sarcasm too. Wonderful. The balance in this show is also great. Rrrreally enjoyed it.

Probably the best (1.5) hour of television in 2016 has already been aired on january the first. Amazing episode, lots of laughs, great acting, great filming.
Later edit: Wow, just when you thought this show couldn't get any better. So good! I loved all the tributes, it's like they couldn't help it. Who wrote/ directed this one? LMAO, Mycroft. And Mrs. Hudson not speaking.
What was the scene you were talking about, maliti?

I finally saw it. I don't know what to say. I love the characters no doubt, and the actors and how they interact and brilliantly shine off each other's acting but I was not swept away by Mind Place Abominable Wife 120 vs today's Moriarty suicide storytelling combo. It just seemed chaotic for me all the back and forth in the last part of the ep. Maybe I should rewatch that. I Mycroft and was Mary really that good and skilled?! I didn't notice before. But then neither did Watson and Sherlock
To be honest, I thought it was chaotic too. I enjoyed it, and really liked their explanation for the different eras, but it could have been better executed IMO. They overdid the mind palace bit.
My two penith. . Freaking loved it ! Heee hatred loads of places . . . Fat microft eating all the plum pudding to Mrs Watson s phone skills . . Love this show!
Episode 3 is a total mind f-ck and unravels like a heightened version of The Twilight Zone. That's my personal opinion of it because it kept me on the edge of the couch and stress eating cookies. Just when I thought I started to think I could live without the series, now I'm wondering how long the wait is for the next season.
