I did today! I'm re-reading now "Thus Spoke Zarathustra". Thank you Rygar. I was not busy enough... The Prologue is the key but his shit requires too much concentration.
Other than that I'm stoked for tonights episode!!!
Finally got to witness the first episode today and the hype is justified.
Welcome to the fellowship!

Seems to me that MM is more upset about losing his friendship with Woody, over his wife. He so wanted his friendship, as much as he could have a friend, and that they made a good partnership. Is the chief in on the school scandal? He's gotta know about the cho mo, that being covered up. He's at least got guilty knowledge. I smell a big coverup. Loved his wife's line about best she's had since before the kids were born

Episode 6 was just about getting characters into position for the last two episodes, which are going to be awesome. That being said, the acting was superb and there was plenty of eye candy. The Maggie/Rust body language was incredible. There was so much happening in that scene. And Maggie... I don't think Rust had any clue just how right he was about Marty and crazy women.
The revival pastor was so good. His lack of eye contact, his posture, everything. Tuttle's hair should have gotten an honorable mention in the credits. And I already mentioned the catatonic girl. What an amazing performance. The best line in this episode was the Human Tampon, especially after Marty's shopping bags in the beginning. And it validates what Rust said to Marty earlier in the episode. Best get back to typing, Marty.

I loved the little girl who was rescued. She was good. Call it Ry. Will we see Hart's daughters again before the end of the season?
I think that its possible that Harts eldest daughter could have been a victim of sexual abuse from Yellow King associates or heard about the abuse from her friends at school. The focus on the dolls and her sexual drawings are significant.

Very possible. I've wondered whether one of his daughters will be mixed up in the present day YK cult. But I'm thinking they'll have some part in the next two episodes.
I don't think spaghetti monster and YK are the same, but I have no idea who YK is. I think Tuttle is complicit, but not involved that directly.
Oh, and one thing that stuck out to me was how little Rust's apartment had changed in several years. I think he added a table. The guy completely lives in his head.
And that fight between them? Pure bs. MM could have taken him big time, instead he allows Woody to punish him a bit, not too much, but a bit. Even the cops standing around were telling him "stop man, he's wasting ya". Seems to me he's also letting Woody get a bit of his pride back by that as well. And he knows, if they ever want to work together again in the future, this had to happen. Came there for his files? I doubt it.

In a way, Cohle also feels guilty. He let his guard down and allowed himself to be vulnerable. I only saw that one other time (when the cook assistant talks about his eyes and his "demon").
We also see how passoniate Cohle is about protecting children, probably due to his own daughters death, when he tells the Munchausen by proxy mother that murdered her children to off herself.

Rust: "You, my friend, you don´t exist without me." So people can keep speculating.
The actress playing Maggie did a great job in that scene but MM´s expression broke my heart a little. That was bad lady, real bad. You can see it coming tho.

If they do a Fight Club ending, I'll never forgive them. Not that I think they will, but it's an uncharacteristically egotistical statement. It probably has some meaning, other than the fact that he's the Human Tampon.

Please gods, NO! I dont' think they're gonna go that way. That would sooo disappointing!
I really liked ep5 despite the repeated blabla getting a bit too annoying to brush off, the dark stars in the school window was such a great scene. Ep6 not so much, very slow and just going through the motions of what they signalled before. Except the ending, that looked quite promising for what's to come.
But why do we get only MMs ugly scrawny ass when the women front errrr behind is so well nourished, eh? SO UNFAIR

No, I didn´t mean Fight Club but...well, spoilers... all the theories around this show. I know people going crrrrrrrazy about it.

OK. So I am talking with a guy at work about TD and Martys daughters and any possible connection with them and the abductions (doll rape scene, lewd drawings, rebellious attitude, etc). He then slipped and mentioned Rust instead of Marty as their dad. BAM! A thought hit me. What if Rusts daughter did not die the way he told the detectives in his interview? He didn't come right out and say what happened but we can assume that she was playing In her driveway and was hit by a car due to a blind curve. but what if she was abducted and went missing? What if Cohle then went into Narco to collect evidence undercover? Then asked to be transferred to Criminal Investigation so he can work the case?
I'm probably reading into it too much. I doubt there's a M Knight Shamamlyan twist. Seems like they are just telling a basic story, but done really well and what you see is what you get.

Yes that would suck, but I think the show is beyond that. It would also make no sense whatsoever, Marty and Rust are two completely established and separate characters that have interacted with so many people that clearly reacted to them normally.
I am kinda rolling my eyes how stupid that would be, and how retarded internet speculation can get.

This. This explains everything and ties up all the loose ends.

I thought about it more, if Rust had been the one to find the kids in the trailer first and then reacted the way Marty did, then it would make more sense.
