Is it bad that the trailer's song was more interesting than the trailer?
Wedding Crashers meets Mean Girls with shitty Gambit thrown in.
We will see.
I felt like I was watching an English trailer for a foreign film. You know, the kind they don't have any dialogue in so you can't tell that it's actually in another language?

I'm with Don and Macha on this. Somehow I got a good feeling about it. McAdams as a cop looks to be all kinds of awesome. And frankly, I can definitely get behind Colin by the looks of the trailer. The only reservation is Vaughn. But I'm not beating it down until I see for myself. Oh, Taylor Kitch or whatever his name is. Didn't he play in the movie with aliens?! Navy officer or something. I LOVED that movie. Was it bad cliche? Sure. Cheesy. Definitely but I still loved it.
I thought it was pretty amazing even on re-watch. The finale still was so different than what I expected! But then so was Justified. One needs to adjust the view after watching it somehow. It seemed that this Sunday the trailer for TD before GoT was a bit different. I still like it. I know Ry knows this so I'm asking: who's playing that song?
Colin Farrell is going to knock this out of the park!!
"Who Wants a Mustache Ride"
Right here!

Loved it! Everyone looks like they know what they're doing. And Al, to me Vince looks like he's ready to pull a genuinely money grubbing villain. I'm more sold on it by the trailer second.
The first three episodes are getting slammed by critics, most of whom libeled the first season for not delivering what they felt was a satisfying, non cliche, and innovative ending.

I saw mixed Ry. They came out in force this morning. Esquire is pleased and Variety is disappointed! It's like they don't even talk about the same show And their tastes are different. One bad review is criticising the lack of slow build to the plot having the protagonists intersect too early! The good one says that's excellent because the plot last season dragged a bit in the beginning two-three eps. One says too pragmatic characters, missing the philosophy monologues of yesteryear! The other says witty dialog and thank god not overly philosophical cops, even though theyhave their crosses to bear. There ya go! Opinions like asaholes...
Ry Say you ain't swayed by the shitty Variety! I'll be expecting you in this thread in 2, let me capitalize that TWO weeks. I think every show needs someone to bash it proper. And you've got technique
There were reports of discord between Pizzolatto and Fukunaga last season, and one of the new episodes features a visit to a film set with an Asian-American director styled to resemble Fukunaga, in a manner meant to be unflattering to one man, but which reflects more poorly on the other.
Oh boy. I hate these *reports of discord rumors. I hope they are not true. Can you imagine discord while you are filming an entire season? with your director???
