You should be a high school art teacher. I think you'd be great at it.
Well I'm so tired of "badass" and overly photoshoped posters that I find this quite refreshing because it's so simple. I don't mind if it looks a bit naive, I like the idea behind it.
Rhaegar, despite wounding Robert, was struck down with a massive blow from Robert's warhammer, which scattered the rubies encrusted in Rhaegar's armor under the water. Rhaegar died with Lyanna Stark's name on his lips.
I don't know if I like it or not. Which is not a good sign! To me it looks like the Three-Eyed-Raven takes apart the Iron Throne swords. Or at least that is my interpretation of it.
Meh, it doesn't work for me. I guess it's supposed to be ominous. The background, the tagline, and especially the crow are so lacking. Honestly, it looks like one of my chickens with a dog chasing it as feathers fly everywhere. We need a gaping maw behind it, and the barnyard image will be complete.
Cary, you should replace the crow head with a three-eyed Patrick. That would spiff it up a bit.
"I´d not prolongued the chewing up, Doc. Nor the being spat out. Not go out a cunt. It´s the dispatch I find inglorious. The whole delusory fucking self importance.". Al Swedgin ;).
I'm not a fan of the sword crow, but I like this fan version MUCH better. It looks like the crow's bursting through The Wall. Plus, better fonts, better use of space and less crow poop!

Actually, I think I like the fanmade one better. The background on the original one I did not care for. Plus you cannot beat Crow/Snow combo, IMO.
Thanks Tir :)
yes! it´s way better. Like it a lot. The sword pooping (the little ones at the bottom) was quite silly. Nice. You know who did it Tirvy?

Anytime I see that phrase I can't help but cringe, Dany ruined it with her silly girl power remark during season 3.
I don't like Dany one bit, but I thought her remark worked quite well in the context of that scene. Meh, I think that's a good tagline for S4, but I have to say I don't understand why people get so worked up over a single poster. To me, this is just marketing and means nothing, I usually don't give movie posters a second thought since I find most of them to be utter shit.

the link to the author is under the pic. I really like the idea of the crow bursting through the wall of ice. Such an improvement over that godawful gradient background!

1. Two Swords 2. The Rose And The Lion 3. Breaker Of Chains 4. Oathkeeper
Judging by those titles seems like the PW is going to happen during episode 2 and that a certain sword will be gifted in episode 4. If that's the case we might see some AFFC Brienne stuff this season.
Japie you do realize they arent a movie, right? This is still a TV show afterall, their budget is the same as an average Hollywood film, except they have to stretch it for 10 hours instead of 2.5.
Regardless, I think the dragons have looked great since S1.

Memory fails me, how did those two feel about each other in the books?
Spoiler
Hated each other! But Oberyn said to Tyrion if I recall correctly that Tywin may support a match between him and Cersei. To which he added he would be curious how he, Ellaria and Cersei trio would be... I'm not going to comment on THAT one! LOL
I cannot wait to see the whole scene. That is not a book one and I am extremely curious how Dan and Dave modified the dynamic. if they did.

I cringed at Dany's line and, like Japie, at the CGI armies and the catapult. On the other hand, I loved the dragons! (and normally i dont care for them)

but most of all I'm in awe at the magnificence
Spoiler
of Braavos! Does this mean that Stannis is sailing there in that boat shot? Since we know they filmed IN the Iron Bank, so Tycho is not the one going to Westeros...

But, uhm, does this mean that she is present when the dragons attack the goat herder (and presumably his daughter)? She looks so peaceful there.
Spoiler
I think that is simply a scene where she feeds them, setting the president that they eat whole goats now. That will play when the goat herder shows up later, they think he is complaining about eaten goats...while we know it's something entirely different.
I am usually Khaleesi's only acting defender on this forum, but yes that line was very...whut? Maybe it makes sense in the context of the scene, but I agree it seems very weak.

Holy Titan of Braavos! I was not expecting to see that in the trailer. Surely we won't be venturing there until episode 9 or 10 at the earliest?
Why on earth is the chick with the Brazilian firing a bow? dammit D & D haven't you learned your lesson with Ros we don't won't made up characters taking away time from ones that haven't even made the show, like Belwas!
More like the Colossus of Rhodes but yeah, it looks brilliant. I think we mights see it earlier, Al.
Spoiler
If it were up to me, I'd go with Stannis traveling to Braavos before reaching the Wall, or perhaps even before deciding he should go there. S3 finally didn't actually spell out that they were heading for the Wall straight away, maybe he needs a final push. And that could be the Iron Bank rejecting his plea. So if we have Stannis traveling there in ep. 2/3, and the meeting with Tycho in ep. 4/5, they could simply cut the story there, and show him arriving at the Wall in Ep. 9. Surprise!
Not sure it was meant for Arya's storyline, at least not until the final episode, and from what I saw, they usually don't include scenes from those episodes in trailers.

Methinks we shall see Stannis travel to Tycho, and Tychos answer will be vague enough to make non-readers seem like he got rejected. Then like Macha says we see Stannis at the wall "surprise"!
About not showing the finale scenes, that could mean a couple of things. We did see the Goat herder in Dany's throneroom, something we speculated was gonna be her final scene. If it's not, that means they are zooming deeper into ADWD, good for us, bad for GRRM.

It's deff for Stannis. I hadn't realize it at first but he's there at the shot in the Iron Bank.

And not see Tycho in Westeros? That could work. It depends on how important he is to the story, because this is really ADwD/TWoW material. But I thought he only went to Stannis after Cersei told them they wouldn't be getting their money?

OOOPS I totally missed that Tir! Thanks. I think it makes sense in a certain way. Was actually surprised when someone pointed out the actor has been cast for Tycho for season four. IMDB lists him for first episode actually IIRC.
Regarding Tycho he visits Kings Landing and is insulted by Cersei right? I can't remember if it happens during ASOS or AFFC.
Al,
Spoiler
Tycho Nestoris doesn't appear until ADwD. He never sets foot to King's Landing. There was an Iron Bank envoy sent there to deal with the Crown but it wasn't him. I assume they decided to merge all Iron Bank bankers into one so as to not confuse the Unsullied and to give Tycho a better and more meatier role.

Tormund there, but I assume it is because these are the ones Stannis takes to school on how to wage battle, knights in armor style. My Tormund escapes to fight another day... Well, technically speaking peacefully cross the Wall-- I wouldn't EXACTLY call it surrender -- another day
