Now that I think about, the three Tyrion scenes were some of the best scenes ever in this show. That's something at least. And I still feel that the acting was superb in Jon's scene regardless of the redundancy. I love Owen Teale so much.

This kid, I love him so much. Such perfection and a highlight in the series for me:
I loved everything with Tyrion, but why wasn't the "uhm so Shae apparently wasn't on that boat" mystery not adressed by Tyrion when Bronn was saying goodbye?
I am still in awe of the how well this episode turned out. I am really impressed the way the imps champion was revealed! I was on the edge of my seat for the entirety of that scene. May be one of the best overall scenes so far. But we all know my weakness for Lannisters.

Now that you mention it, we never did get an answer for that, did we? I should rewatch the epsode where she "leaves", but didn't Tywin tell someone to bring her to the Tower of the Hand after Bronn reassured Tyrion? Maybe they caught her before the ship left the harbor? But wait, Bronn specifically says he saw her sail away, no? Hmm. Perhaps we might have another scene in future episodes that explains it, but it does seem like a slip that Tyrion didn't ask Bronn about it straight up.
Tywin said to bring her to the tower, and then we get the scene of Bronn dragging away Shae after that. I think there was subtext in the Tyrion-Bronn scene that acknowledged Cersei had bought him off, but no mention of whether Bronn was already paid off at that point. You're right though. Tyrion has had nothing but time to think through what happened. I would think it would be his first question to Bronn.
I think "what happened with Shae" isn't more offensive than "gee, that's an expensive suit." And I can't imagine Bronn taking offense at the question. He's plainspoken.
