Of course the Viper Vs Mountain duel was really well done, actually I kinda wish it were longer but loved it from beginning to end. I will truly miss Oberyn, kinda like Drogo he was an awesome character that drops the mic and leaves the audience wanting more...and what more can you ask for as an actor?
Loved the stuff at the Eyrie ( which wasnt in the opening credits...AGAIN!), the arrival of Dark Sansa was a revelation...can't wait for more!
Ser Jorah brought in all the feels...Ian Glenn is so great, his watery eyes and quivering sad face.....
Theon was damn good...seeing him trying to hold it together as Reek was great...so was that Winterfell they rode to in the end?
Arya bursting into hysterical laughter, after finding ANOTHER family member dead right as she gets to them was great...and completely unexpected.....now...she is at the gate and Sansa is about to leave....WILL THEY SEE EACH OTHER? OMG I CANT EVEN.
Only two episodes left...is it just me or has this season flown by?

My guess is definitely yes for the first part and who the hell knows???? for the second part.
Seeing the Boltons in Winterfell in S5 (it seemed this was their last scene this season) is gonna Break. My. Heart. But it could mean we'll get more quality acting from Alfie, since Theon should feel something going back there...I hope.
With Sansa and Arya anything could happen. Don't know if BaSi knows, but just for the record, D&D already went through her entire remaining arc in the books this last episode - and this is why I love these guys, they're not afraid to take their chances - so we're just as clueless. But to me it seams they're building her up for a reason. I don't know if she'll get rid of Littlefinger using his own weapons against him, or if they'll become partners in crime. Maybe both, but I'm definitely sensing a partnership forming between them for now.
Arya is still a wildcard for now. It seems repetitive for her to just wander around aimlessly for another season, so whatever happens to her, I'm sure it will be a turning point.
I felt a pang of anger when Grey worm and Ser Barristan tensed up and put their hands on their swords when Jorah approached Dany. They are the newbies...Jorah has been through all the shit with Dany....the nerve.

Jesus Christ shut the fuck up. The books were never that good in the first place.
First three were pretty great, the last two were crap.
The first one was great. The rest not so much, but readable and still kept me entertained. But overall GRRM is a mediocre writer at best. So cheer the fuck up.

I just rewatched most of the episode, and it's a different experience the second time. First of all, Alfie Allen is brilliant. I didn't catch on that Bolton's forces were heading towards Winterfell in that last scene. Ugh. That's going to be heart-wrenching to see that flag raised over Winterfell. Roose Bolton's smug proclamations about the North just set up the chaos I expect next season as Wildlings ravage the North. The tables will finally turn, and he's going to have his hands full. But as horrible as the Boltons are, they might be just the people who can strike fear in the heart of the Wildlings just as the Wildlings strike fear in the hearts of average northmen. Both sides are utterly barbaric, and are well matched in that sense. Who would think I would ever hope for Winterfell to get overrun (again)?
Even the second time, I laughed out loud at Arya. She is delightful. And the Hound looks to be in much worse shape than I noticed the first time. He was resting the arm on his injured side on the pommel of his sword, but that whole side looked just a bit droopy. I'm afraid the Hound won't be with us much longer. I'm not certain whether they got turned away from the Bloody Gate. If I were the gatekeeper, I wouldn't let that pair pass. So I think they're once again going to be wandering Westeros. The question is whether they will run into Brienne and Pod, the Hill Tribes, or Sansa, Little Finger and Robin before the Hound's inevitable demise. I've said before that I think Brienne would be a great mentor and influence for Arya, and I would love to see them meet up. I don't think the two sisters will meet, but imagine Arya's face if they did. Last she knew, Sansa was marrying Joffrey, and here she is with Little Finger, totally transformed. What an incredible scene that would be.
I was laughing out loud this time at the beetle story when I realized that Cousin Orson is GRRM. He kills every living thing within reach without regard to merit, karma, beauty, good, evil...none of it matters. He is going to smash the life out of it. Gungh! Gungh! Gungh! And if there's one you like, he'll wait till you're watching to smash it. EXCEPT not Tyrion. Tyrion let that little isopod go on its way, and I felt a certainty that Cousin Orson isn't going to squash him.
Finally, Ellaria's cape is quite clever. I hated it the first time I saw it, but then I realized that the peaks on her shoulders are meant to conjure a viper's ridges above its eyes. Looking at her is like looking straight into the face of a viper. "Don't leave me alone in this world." "Never." Ugh. Heartbreaking. I didn't watch the final battle. I'll save that for a night when I don't want to sleep. Lol.
I must be such a bitch, but I don't like that story line .. M&G .... Oh yes we get to see her tiny titties and cute bum ... and?
Thank you, SisY. WTF with M&G? Can we get Bran? Direwolves? Stannis? Dorne? Jon Snow? Seven hells!

I didn't see a review, more a very bitter, overly judgemental, knitpicky pile of words. It's one thing to be critical, it is quite another thing to be petty.
Good thing they are the minority opinion.

Well I know I can't change your mind because this is very subjective, but I'll try to briefly explain why I think that scene was masterfully done.
First, I thought how they wrote the river scene was fantastic, because it was realistic and simple, and it showed so much of their vulnerability but also their willingness to be seen by the other person, and accepted. She sees GW watching her and she doesn't cover herself right away, she doesn't make fun of him, she doesn't turn around and giggle with the other girls. She rises up because her first reflex is that she wants him to see her. And it's not about a tits&ass quota this time because if you look at how it was filmed, you'll see that the focus was actually on their eyes. Maybe it was just me, or maybe andi could explain it better, but I think it followed their gaze without necessarily focusing on the naked body. The body was shown, but it showed her vulnerability and her acceptance of him. And then their conversation shows this, it's not just about a guy peeping at a naked girl, it's about two people that have obviously never known the feeling of being in love, of wanting to show yourself to the other with all your beauty and all your faults and just be accepted and wanted for who you are. They don't know how to express this, so they do it in the more honest, caring and respectful way this series has shown us so far.
And GW is the one really carrying these two scenes, because he's the character we're not supposed to understand. We're supposed to dismiss his sexuality because the other characters do (except Missandei), when actually he's showing us a simple, natural fact that his impotence has nothing to do with wanting and loving, and the scene is all the more powerful because Missandei actually treats him like any normal man. Both of their scenes end in a very sexual way that dismisses his painful condition, and in the end it's refreshing to see that GW himself doesn't his fate. To him this is part of who he is and why he was able to meet this woman, and he cherishes this in a strange way.
It's such a full, complex, sad and beautiful and warm scene that it actually blew my mind. They had no reason to come up with this (the parallel to Jorah and Dany is just a bonus), other than to remind us, in the context of the show, what a natural, healthy "love story" feels like, and the fact that they did it with GW of all people fills me with such an admiration for the show, that I'm able to write this mini-essay without actually wanting to convince anyone.

@Macha, that's exactly what I feel about the GW & Missandei scenes. They're beautiful. The idea that GW needs his full three piece set to feel lust or love is juvenile, and I'm happy the show is exploring that angle a little. I hope they don't mean that GRRM has to crush them like bugs.
