Yes, Mel did say that the 3 Eyed Crow is evil, fighting for the opposite of the Red God, and what she sees in her fires Mel thinks is the Other or his minions (when she talks about Bloodraven and Bran really). But I don't think she's THAT powerful to attack from that distance! Then again she gave birth to a shadow baby...

But aren't JoJen and Meera on their way home now? I thought they'd left Bran by the end of ADWD?

Al, but this fire thing in the show happens when they go north. So I'm not sure how this works out. Cannot remember JoJen having his hand on fire in the books. Which is why this is all so confusing! I think this is one of those things that only happens in the show, like the whole Carster's attack storyline. We'll see.

We know in the books that JoJen knows how he dies but he never told Bran how it happens. I'd imagine D & D know the fate of JoJen.

They didn't leave him, in Bran's final chapter Meera is crying and looking for Jojen who's gone missing.

Probably because Bran ate him. tinfoilhat

Slow roasted is what you'll get for seeing your hand on fire!

Jojenpaste my foot! He said he knows how he's going to die. Being pasted and consumed by Bran would at least made him wary. Careful around CotF.

Oh, Macha is still taking bets on Bloodraven being evil! Maybe I shouldn't rush into this thing...

Not if he knows that's what has to happen and excepts his fate ... remember he believe Bran is the only one that can change the fates of man.

I don't believe the paste theory one bit. JoJen is missing because he's a punk.

Even if Jojen would think of sacrificing himself so that Bran would add the greensight to his warging, and hence become another Greenseer like Bloodraven, I have huge problems believe that theory.

Because I think CotF are good and that's where my problems start. Why would they sacrifice a young one, who lived so little when they could easily kill one of their own and get Bran the greensight. All Children have green dreams per their declared abilities. And all lived for hundreds of years.

If they are evil on the other hand, they would definitely kill Jojen if that's what it took to get Bran to be a tree. Plus this is almost blood magic/ blood sacrifice. I don't think they do this kind of thing... Would they?

Where on earth is Macha for that blasted bet?!?! LOL

I'm down for Jojenpaste. Mostly because fuck Jojen and fuck the Reeds.

I think my favorite change made for this episode, is that Brienne has a destination in mind. Sure, the Wall may be seriously far off, but at least she's not aimlessly wandering around asking the same fucking annoying question to every random peasant she meets, without the slightest idea where she's going. Also, she's probably going to meet Zombie Catelyn in the finale, so we'll be spared the mind numbing boredom of Nimble Dick and her other rambling travels. 5 episodes of searching is more than enough.

ha HAA, then why is Jojen growing more and more depressed as they reach the cave, why is the chapter in which he disappears filled with "the moon was thin and sharp like the blade of a knife" (yes, GRRM loves his repetitions) and why would the actor define Jojen as an "accessory to greatness", ey? I'm telling you, I've got this covered. weirwood

For he record I don't necessarily think the CoTF are evil-evil. I think they have some connection with the WW (possibly created them or some crazy shit), but I think Bloodraven did't extend his life just so that he could teach some crippled kid to make use of his midichlorians for the greater good, to...do what exactly? I'm not buying his "oh Bran nevermind your legs come sit with me in the dark and get high on mushrooms" act. If I were to guess, I'd say he's using Bran so that he can somehow take revenge on the kingdom he once served, for whatever reason. Let's not forget he was ex-NW and just disappeared, only to learn he's found the elixir of life in a creepy ass cave. Nope, nope, nope. Creepy is creepy.

I'm still not convinced about literally making Jojen into a paste and feeding it to Bran! But you can definitely have my 3 gold dragons if it turns out to be true, Macha teehee you deserved it because you pointed out some clues (you know, not actual facts, black on white, ink on paper...) that could hint to a Jojen paste!

You are on, femeie!

wut, why alone? Was always like that for me when reading AWD, Soaped Jojen for treeBran. Was Myra the one that wanted to go back, not Jojen, he always knew what will happen and he was really really depressed and sad in Bran chapters. Who want´s to be paté, come on, what I don`t understand is why Jojen is making this sacrifice if he knows Bloodraven is no good. hmm Ugh, all these lies.

This episode was meh to me, lotsa filler. But  I love Pod´s faces always and I hope they work well together so we love them and then they maybe die. Ugh, the pair Arya-Hound, is getting worse. And blahblahblah.

Locke a complete waste of a good character, good actor, good tension, good intrigue, fear. A really bad death. And it was sad  seeing Hodor doing it. Never liked that about Bran in the books. Little brat.

Lysa the cookie! She makes me feel so so awkward, love it. Was it me or LF lost some of his accents again?

Cersei was boring. Maybe D&D are not making her so lunatic an idiotic like in the books? That would be nice.

Cinematography is still very dark, as in season 1, never liked it. You don´t need those terrible dark holes that are there sometimes to make look things grim. I think just in Dany scenes the lighting is different. All good with the "I´ll rule" I just hope she remembers that and forgets Daario.

The fight in Craster´s keep didn´t look very good to me. And thought Ghost looked bad, dammit. Whur´s all that white pretty fuuuuurrr? and I felt for Bran calling for Jon but that wig is too distracting teehee, looks like a painting of Piero della Francesca or something. Imma look for it, is pretty funny.

Yes, this. All the way. There go my J-Locke shipping fantasies. I guess I'll have to set them during the trip between Castle Black and Crasters.  Because there were some cold nights...

Put me down for the Jojen paste theory. I'm a believerrrr!
I puzzled about the fire for a second but then I also took it to mean like he was seeing the fire that was gonna be there later. I wont stop believing in Jojen paste until I see it writen in the books (aka never )
I've never believed the CotF to be good, or Bloodraven for that matter. Don't think they're entirely "evil" either but more like running their own agenda. That happens to be connected to the ww, blood sacrifices and some suspicious shit.

Agreed. Was pretty disappointed with this episode, the wasted unticlimatic death of Locke being the biggest dissappointment of all. I had such high hopes for him! His mere presence revved up the tension at the wall, and made everything there seem more interesting. I was sure he'd be the one to stab Jon. So sad to see him go. Kept waiting for someone to point out "Oh, look, he miraculously survived!" till the very last minute. What a wasted opportunity. Such a great actor and great character. And for what? That death? pffft.

I thought the fight was okish but the whole craster's keep scene seemed pretty convoluted and not very rewarding.  I mean, I thought Locke planned to kill bran, not abduct him. What was he gonna do? carry him across the wall? hmm.gif Seeing ghost again was nice, though.

Didn't mind the KL stuff, but I absolutely loved LF, Lysa and Sansa. Those scenes were fantastic. Particularly the Sansa/Lysa one. Bloody brilliant. Brienne and Pod were super enjoyable. And though I agree Arya and the Hound isn't working as well anymore, seeing Arya waterdancing with needle had me squeeling with pleasure freakout, but I admit I am biased there.

and this week's cake goes to: Sophie! Hands down. clap

So all in all the ep itself very very meh. My least favourite this season so far.

ps. Also found Bran's wig way too distracting to actually focus on his emotions, lol.

pps. Forgot to say, I laughed my head off when Dany said "i will wruule" like Gollum says "wriggling". i know, i'm mad. Carry on.

Locke stabbing Jon wouldn't make sense. He was there for one reason - to find out about Bran/Rickon. Once he did that there was no reason for him to stay. Hea a good puppy and would have returned to Roose with either the Stark lads or news of them. Do you think he would have hung out at Castle Black until Jon mentioned them? That wouldn't make sense at all. His inclusion in the NW was a great plot twist and his demise was perfectly unanticipated and fitting in GRRMs world.  No major fight or built up death.  One min here, next gone.  Loved it!!!!

I thought he'll be caught at the wall by the wildlings attack, scooping for news of Bran and Rickon and then unable to leave because Stannis.

If he was sent to the wall as punishment, then yes. But unlike Hoat, Roose didn't feel the need to chastise Locke. I have a feeling that even if Stannis arrived, Locke would have slipped out.

Its just a shame because Noah Taylor is perfect in everything. I think his death fits perfectly with all the premature deaths in GRRMs universe.

Oh, there's a rumor going around that she might stay a bit longer. I think it is doubtful and utter crap if it happens. But who knows? They're definitely not afraid of doing something different than the source material.

I'm with Lyanna on the whole Stark drama. If more visuals/flashbacks in Bran's weirwood tree thingy would bring us to how the whole thing went down I'd be a happy camper!

Jenario, I almost like you for the dirty double penetration thing. (yep, that's how I read things teehee)

But it's against the canon! So, no.

@Mr. Storm, had no idea about Shae. I thought it was Ygirtte. Plus it was also something she said about her desire to stay in the show for as long as possible. Or something to that extent. Shae living beyond her book expiration date does not please me either!

I'm rolling with the books today. #BookCanonFTW

He rode through the streets of the city,
down from his hill on high,
O'er the wynds and the steps and the cobbles,
he rode to a woman's sigh.
For she was his secret treasure,
she was his shame and his bliss.
And a chain and a keep are nothing,
compared to a woman's kiss

For hands of gold are always cold, but a woman's hands are warm...

No no no no, Shae needs to go. I don't think they have any reason to change something that powerful for Tyrion's storyline. If that rumor is true, maybe it's Balon (postponed) or Styr or some other minor character.
