watched this! As an atheist or agnostic or wutever you call it, when I see this kind of show, or True Detective, for example, the first thing I think is why people think God loves human kind, is easier for me to think the devil does. The creators are all the time saying: we don`t like human beings. I hope it has something more to say appart from misanthropy.

The characters are all so quickly introduced and the general tone is so over the top with all the characters  and the plot that I have to think it´ll serve something else or is just a warning that say "this will be like this all the time and even up up upupupupup". And it´s true, this can only go up with every episode if they keep eating plot after plot.

Was a 90 minutes pilot, wow. Many shots reminded me the movie, but is not the same. Or will see.

Acting was great, all of them, well BBT has that thing when you think he´s not really acting, like he´s just annoyed or boring. But it´s good here. Freeman is a delight, you love him, despise him, pity him. And this girl Alison Tollman who plays the female cop, future chief, Frances Mc Dormand played in the movie, is gold.

BBT character...wonder what will happen to him. He brings the chaos, which I loved, but seems too devilish now? like a bad fairy or something. Like a troll!!! yus!that he is! That´s not bad at all.

Ok, need to see what will happen in next episodes, if all the stereotypes and exaggerations have no basis but the previous movie or wut.

The last minutes were great. If someone fucks up, someone will fuck up even more after that and all seems to go to hell

There´s good storytelling, all kinds of evil. just remembered Freeman´s surname

Spoiler

The title of the episode is the crocodile dilemma, I think but it´s only at the end or near the end when there´s some talking about it (there´s this real logic dilemma), without actually talking about it.  I think it´s when Freeman said: I didn´t say yes and BBT "but you didn´t say no. Too lazy to write about the logic dilemma). It was nice.

Ugh, I see this is a long mess.

Just go watch!!! it´s worth it (or it will be?).

Watched the pilot and loved every minute of it.

BBT does indeed seem like an mischievous fairy of sorts arriving in town and causing chaos, telling the kid about peeing in the petrol tank only to grass him up biggrin

Freeman is really good but his character does remind me a lot of William H.Macy's character from the movie. Still Martin's got the kooky accent down to a tee.

The show is pretty funny, I wasn't expecting to laugh as much as I did.

Did anyone else spot the Big Lebowski easter egg in the dinner?

People what are you doing, you must watch this show. Still don´t know where it´s going but reminds me of Justified because is plot after plot and you can see there´s something bigger at the end, maybe.

Some great lines, some funny lines.

"Who´s the fire hydrant?"

Ugh can´t remember the one that Carradine´s character said to his daughter, the cop, about the silly silly chief played by Saul from Breaking Bad.

Carradine is not there that much, at least for now and apparently Billy Bob will have more screentime than Freeman and that could be my limit because I don`t mind Billy Bob but just in small doses.

But you said you believe you loathed the movie so... it´s not the same but has lotsa things in common and there´s winks or easter eggs or whatever you call it everywhere for most Cohen brother´s movies.

And no titties I think but I wasn´t counting.

no need to use calmyotits side by side with that new Stannis avatar of yours too scawy

I´m not loving it and I have no clue where this is going but makes me laugh and some scenes are really good and looks promising. And the acting, in this last episode the last scene between Freeman and the girl cop was really good. Oh and cinematography. Oh and the last last scene, great.

I wonder if one can luuuuuuuuuuve the Cohens movies or whatever similar to them.

Are the Coen Brothers involved with this series at all? because it really does feel exactly like the sort of quirky tones in some of their movies.

Watched two ep.s now.
Freaking love it ! I'm laughing all the way through ... those two boys through the window . Comedy gold!
" Finding a foot in the oven ... "
Billy Bob Is amazing as this character, and Martin reminds me of Arthur Dent ! But with an American accent !
Love the girl playing the lady cop too, yet I loved the girl in the movie so that says a lot.

I'll watch Ep. 3 tomorrow.
Oh and the deaf guy and the lad that wasn't the weirdo room mate in friends ... they totally crack me up !

Great finale to a wonderful season of television. Never in a million years did I expect Fargo to turn into one of the best shows on TV.

We'll be getting a second season in fall 2015. Like True Detective it's going to be a completely different set of characters and new story.

It was a great series, I loved the original film and wasn't sure how this was going to run over a whole series but they did a super job.

Season 2 will take place in 1979 and focus on Lou Solverson (the character Keith Carradine played in Season 1). It'll be a 33-year-old version of Lou, a state cop recently back from fighting in the Vietnam War. Molly will be four years old and we'll meet her mother (discovering what ultimately happened to her in the process).

It will be set in Sioux Falls, Luverne and Fargo, so we'll be able to visit with the violent Sioux Falls incident Lou referenced in the episode "A Fox, a Rabbit, and a Cabbage."

Season 2 will draw its influences from three Coen brothers films - Fargo, Miller's Crossing & The Man Who Wasn't There. http://uk.ign.com/articles/2014/07/2...ferent-setting

I remember something happened first season I ended up not liking it much and too lazy to check now but season 2 is great so far. Some really really great scenes here and there with great characters.

Episode 5 was really really good. Cohens at their best and classic humor, I think. Gloomy and awesome Noreen (butcher´s daughter) reading Camus in meat shop (probably Sisyphus´Myth because is talking about suicide) and telling good old Ed what´s the point and that the only meaning of life is death. . Ed´s faces are priceless, he just can´t understand the fuck she saying, butbutbut the american dream and what not???

Also Noreen´s surname is Vanderslice biggrin These guys are so so good with small characters, reminds me some really good literature.

Ted Danson is a pleasure to watch and he also had a great little scene in this episode.

Lots of good and fresh scenes, really.

This season is close to perfect television. The Camus scene was gold and Bruce Campbell as Ronald Reagan telling his movie war stories was amazing.

I've seen the first ep yesterday. I can't believe Martin Freeman killed someone on screen freakout I was so shocked at how absurd it all was! I'd have killed the washing machine myself! Damn it all I used to have that washing machine! No more. Billy Bob Thorton is perfect for a psychopath. I'm guessing he's a Mafia hitman really. A personification of Satan putting the motel helper to pee in the owner lady's gas tank! I was looking to see if that's true. That once you pee in a gas tank the car never runs straight again. I knew sugar kills it but pee?! Will continue to watch it if only for Dumb and Dumber of Sam's the bully teens. Kate Walsh better have a meaty role though. Grieving widow and all...

I have seen the second ep and Andrea is right on the money when she says it reminds her of Justified as plot/plots develop, intersect or run parallel. It does have that feeling so far. I am curious about the Mart King and I lol-Ed at his "after forty the Greek woman's pussy has teeth"! I like both male leads we have and the cop woman is so Marge! The Fargo mafia duo send to capture BBT blew out of the water my theory that his character is a Mafia hitman.

I wish I can remember season 1.

Season 2 is so good. Last episode left me confuse a bit tho. But I have faith.
