Waitwaitwaitwait, we need to categorize them in sitcoms, reality-shows, fantasyshows, sci-fi shows, cop-shows, quizes, period dramas, detectives, latenightshows. Must needs more lists.
Great list TW !! I completely forgot about Smallville
Al, I am a Superman fan through and through. If there is any power I'd like to have from all the comic book heroes it would be to fly. Not Iron Man style mind you, but the Superman way!
I was pissed to no end they wouldn't let Tom Welling do the Superman thing until the very end. And I had the hugest crush on The Green Arrow guy.
OFF TOPIC: Now see if this was the Smallville edition of Marry-Bang-Kill, I'd have that blond hunk on both the first two! and probably kill him with so much of the first two too.

Just one glorious season with 13 episodes, not sure if 2 hours long.
You know what? Also forgot Breaking Bad and Carnival

Quite common themes in this list, some of mine, in no special order:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (didn't really get it when it was first on TV gave up in season 1, bought the box set and loved it)
The X Files
Twin Peaks ( even though it went a bit off kilter near the end )
Battlestar Galactica ( I even like the last season )
The Wire
The West Wing (up to season 5, not so much the last two)
Homicide: Life on the Streets
Firefly + Serenity
Farscape
The 4400
Breaking Bad
Babylon 5 ( well it looks dated now but in the 90s it was really something new and different in sci-fi)
Our Friends in the North ( a rare UK submission )
and, are you ready for this... Roswell ( despite being very unevenly written and being about 30 years older than the target audience! )
I have a great liking too for the recent Scandinavian Noir catalogue, The Killing ( Forbrydelsen), Borgen, The Bridge, Wallander and also the French Sprial (Engrenages)
Someone mentioned Rubicon - thought that was excellent, can't believe they cancelled it! Also like The Americans

I remember this! Used to like it, but if you ask me now, I have no idea what it was about.

After the first season the writers also lost track of what it was all about too
But it had some good moments afterwards all the same.
Does this bring it back?

It's not ranked in any specific order, just the ones i liked the best
Rome
True Detective
Dragon Ball (Anime should count!)
The Wire
Law & Order and SVU
House
Family Guy
Someone mentioned Rubicon - thought that was excellent, can't believe they cancelled it!
Yes!, Wallander, love it, so dramatic.
Me, I mentioned Rubicon. Not sure but I think it was a Warner´s production. Stupid people. Wouldn´t be the same now tho, they should resucitate that gem of a show.
And welcome KM!

Just saw the first episode of Firefly. The OLS didn't like it so much but I want to see more. That's okay, Game of Thrones was the same way and now he's hooked, I can make him see more.
