So England finally played a bit halfway decent and has some young exciting talent for the future, I wonder if going out like this feels better than playing like shit and going out in the quarterfinals by penalties anyway? So my guess at Italy being total suckbags was also pretty sharp on the nose, the only player that has some talent is the demigod Pirlo:

People can only join a new group as latecomers, so sadly we cannot make that happen. Also, the people that are already in can't fill in a second scorecard so you can only create a "latecomers only" group without the rest of us that already playing. Maybe some of us want to fill in a second scorecard via a different email adress, be my guest, but there's only Can of Chili Farts to be won! To create a whole new group now would also dismiss all the fun of all you numbnuts who think Argentina or Brazil will win the cup.
Four years ago the dutch decided to abandon their attractive playing style and started playing with defending, controlling midfielders. It brought us all the way to the final via 6 solid victories in a row with dominant play, yet pretty it was not. One of the biggest criticasters of that new style of playing was our current coach (who btw, will be the new coach of Manchester United next season). He was the biggest advocate of the "Hollandse School" (three attackers, three midfielers, four defenders of which the two backs should be able to make sideline rushes). Then two months ago he finally caved and realised that we have a shitty defense and a shitty midfield, we would be destroyed by Chile and Spain in our group if we gave them an inch of space in the back because our defenders aren't good enough to singlehandedly stop the likes of Costa or Sanchez. So now we are playing even more defensively than four years ago, we have five defenders and are applying the "wait and see" tactic. Since the dutch despise the word "counterfootball" people are calling it "reactionfootball" instead . We are the new Germany and Italy, which is pretty ironic since they are playing in a new attractive style these recent years. The best part about our new system is that van Persie and Robben finally have the space they need to excell on a big tournament, they don't get stuck on a wall of defenders anymore. We are now the team you hate to play, because we refuse to play along with you and we will fuck you in the ass in the second half with our speedy attackers when the opponent is worn down.
And let's not forget my favourite guy, even his name is awesome: Memphis Depay.

I think he will get some kind of ban. Zidane did at a his last world cup but he never played again once he was given the red card anyway. He retired. I think the Italian player should just sue him. I mean the guy is plain dangerous. He did it 3 times in 2 years. That we know of.
Anyway, sorry to see Italia eliminated, though I had no grand hopes for them. France looks good so far.

I don`t like the way you are playing at all dammit, (just the Robben´s hot little runs ), BUT, although I like pretty football I also love me a clever coach and Louis van Gaal proved to be one smart klomp (with very bad hair ). He´s doing the best with the little he got.
Talking about pretty football, colombian James Rodriguez made probably the prettiest goal so far. Total finesse . Loving Colombia´s team, they are not stable but when coach thinks and make the necessary changes at the right time, they are gooood.
All the feels today, as Don says, with Mondragón and the colombian fans dancing and crying and laughing.
You all probably know about Colombia´s violence (the country) but maybe you don`t know how polite and kind colombians are. Probably the best you´ll find in Latin America or at least that was my experience.
