Indeed, Bran is not here this season. By having Sansa putt around a bit with Littlefinger and then Marry Ramsay leaves her to be bait for Jon Snow.
Dany will end when she gets whisked away by Drogon and back at the Dothraki.
Tyrion will be stuck in Meereen, probably before he even says Hi to Dany.
Cersei gets imprisoned and does her walk of shame ( YES!!), do we see FrankenMountain this season?
No idea how Brienne and Jaime will work, with no Stoneheart who will send Bri on her quest? How will she reach Jaime in Dorne? D&D might know where they end up, but this deviation I can't puzzle out.

Holy f.... please tell me there's no footage to back this up. Why would Sansa *or* LF allow this to happen?

Supposedly on purpose, to destroy the Boltons from within (hence the whole "avenge them" scene). The idea is that she'll try to manipulate them or something. We do know a few things that back the theory up:
-Littlefinger goes to King's Landing in the midseason- and Sansa obviously won't be going with him. So where will she be and with who?
-No fArya casting that we know of, and fArya has a huge effect on the whole a Northern storyline (she's basically the catalyst that sets everything into motion- Theon's redemption, the North uprising, Mance and the Pink Letter). Someone needs to assume the role, someone with a Stark name. Sansa would do, even though it causes problems with the crown (I guess the Boltons could keep it a secret from Cersei).
-Sophie hung out quite a lot with Alfie, Iwan and Ian during filming
-Sophie keeps mentionining that Sansa crosses paths with "familiar faces" this season and that the story is very dark and will surprise book fans (in interviews)
-In the trailer, there's a shot of Sansa taking a bath in a set that some people think looks like Winterfell
That seems like it would work, and gives Sansa something to do while technically not delving into new material, kinda smart if you ask me. But a lot depends how it's implemented and of course book fundies will have a meltdown.
Someone help me figure out the Brienne-Jaime enigma/conundrum!

Stoneheart is cut, so there's that. I honestly have no idea what D&D have planned for Jaime and Brienne. I guess season 5 for them is mostly original stuff to fill the time and then they'll just skip right past all the Stoneheart arc to where J&B need to go later in the series (such as Casterly Rock, or whatever). I'm not sure they'll even meet again, though that's definitely something that should happen IMO.
Mmmm hmmm...thanks Jent, that actually makes a bit of sense.
It still seems like a major risk to take, especially giving the reputation the Boltons have and how protective LF is of Sansa. But it does tie up things nicely.
The issue is still complicated even with that explanation IMO. Sansa have to have an annulment or divorce. Tyrion is still her husband. So an actual marriage will be difficult without the High Sparrow's approval. I assume he's the one deciding such things in Westeros. Unless they go the Targaryan way and accept to have two husbands/wives. Which I highly doubt. Looks like the High Sparrow has a bunch of work to do this season.
Good point, maybe the marriage will happen late in the season when Cersei is already imprisoned and the High Sparrow can decide the matter without involving her. I agree these changes do complicate things.

Pfffft. Annulment, schmanulment. Many won't see Sansa's marriage as valid anyway because it was not consummated and her consent was made under duress. Both things matter in GURM's universe (and in ye olde medieval times as well -- to a point). Someone else could marry her at any time and they'll sort out the whys and wherefors later.

I doubt it. The Northman are religious. They may not accept the Seven, but they'll still want that annulment.
Plus, there's also Roose getting caught between the Lannisters (who won't simply accept Sansa giving the North away to the Boltons instead of getting it for themselves) and Stannis. He's a smart man. He'll not do the wedding in the open if at all. We'll see.
Hate to say it but to me it looks like Jaime is bound to buy the farm in WoW. At least Martin will tie up his loose end with LS and Brienne. The show has nothing to tie.
I can't imagine Jaime dying next season. I mean, in what circumstance would he die? In Dorne? Not likely. No way Jaime get's killed by second-stringers like the Martells.

Almost certainly a few of secondary and tertiary characters. Grey Worm, Bronn, Missendei, Meryn Trant people like that. Maybe even someone as big as Stannis. But I can't see any main characters dying this season.

They can't kill off Stanny, at least not until he kicks some Bolton ass outside Winterfell. And that's definitely not in this season from the looks of it.
I honestly hope he is one of those who make it up until the very end. I always wondered after he kicks the Boltons' ass who will he take on next? Will he move south to pass through Howland Reeds' Neck, take on the Frey's and move to Riverlands or will he come back to the Wall to help the Night's Watch against the Others. Whatever happens I really hoped the Freys will get LS's brand of revenge. Just seems poetic justice. Though with Roose stabbing Robb I suppose Stannis will do a bit of justice himself. I should call this "Musings on the Stannis' next move" - part 15. It HAS been 4 years since ADwD. And I must have thought about this at least 15 times!

Don, I always wanted Jon to get his hands on that bastard (fig speaking). I hated the NW stabbing him with a passion. Not only because WTF?! but because someone needs to stop that sociopath!

Methinks its gonna come down to Jon Vs Ramsay...I hope!!
That does feel right, indeed. There was a time when I thought Theon would find his balls and turn against him, but that was too much to ask. And even tho I don't expect much coming from Gurm's hand, at least give me this: Jon vs Ramsay and Stannis vs Roose.
And someone please kill Dany and her overgrown pet lizards.

How about the "leaked script" hints being dropped over at WotW? We know Hardhome is in, but apart from the injured Jon getting taken away by the others there is also now a leak for what supposedly happens in ep 8. (Tormund dies, basically), and Jon locks eyes with the Night's King. I don't know if I believe it, but I am really freaking out about the last part if it is true

I read that Mags at WotW which is why I fear for Tormund. I'll just block it out! That locking eyes with Night's King got some hopeful about the theory that Jon will become the Other's king (in the books). I haven't seen so much speculation in a long time about a show or book.
Just interesting that until now there have been a lot of "script leaks". This HH one is from later eps. There's one that covers the first ep and a part of the second. That's almost 30%. For an HBO show that's supposed to be so tightly guarded that's a lot.
Leaked scripts are hard to take seriously, every script page is watermarked and are hard to scan paper...that is why none of the other 3 seasons any scripts were leaked.

I totally believe the script for S05E01 that was leaked in summarized form on that FB post due to most of it being shown in the trailers/cast interviews, however I have not seen where on WOTW they are talking about these Hardhome developments. The day in the life featurette showed that the Hardhome scene took three weeks to film, so I can only assume something huge is going to happen there.

That leaked summary sounded pretty cool. I'm not sure I believe it yet though, it almost seems to good to be true (popular minor character getting a glorious exit). I do bet Hardhome will be one of those set pieces that covers half an episode like Tyrion's Trial though

Yeah, about that: perhaps it is time for you to stop looking at my comments to find something you agree or disagree with, Dolan. Multiple past incidents have proven that misunderstandings or disagreements between us can be quite uncomfortable for a whole forum. I plan to take that elegant solution myself and I think it is only fair you should know why you would find yourself in a very one sided conversation if you ever address me from now on. I am dead serious.
Hopefully you will agree with me and enjoy the rest of the fleabottom posters' comments. It should be an exciting 5th season!
I am so curious what D&D have in store. I am expecting the same level of greatness as last season. I hope I am not disappointed but I fear I am shooting myself with BaS' gun in the foot.

As a setup episode the first one is probably alluding to the discussion of Varys' future plans with Tyrion as seen in the trailer, along with Stannis' plan to attack the Boltons. There will be a lot of parallels I think, like Sons of the Harpy in Meereen vs. Faith Militant in King's Landing and also some serious upheaval this season.
It looks like it is Varys revealing the conspiracy to Tyrion to bring a Targ on the IT, Cleon attacking Meereen (probably) and Jon handling two kings: Stannis and Mance. I didn't come up with it though. It is the ep description they released on the first three eps.: www.spoilertv.com/2015/03/game-of-thrones-episode-501-503-titles.html
