Peaky Blinders ep 4 One of the best episodes of tv I watched. And the cinematography. So beautiful.

Bloodline season 2. Meh. Without Ben Mendelhson I don´t think I would like it.

Finished season 2 of Peaky Blinders, it's amazing. Now i know exactly how "fak u!" sounds, that italian mobster is hilarious to watch, though a bit over the top. Tom Hardy is great there too. On to season 3.
Peaky Blinders final episode of this season Great ending. Great tv.

Holy cow, the Russians are a household of nutjobs! I feel super bad for the Peaky Blinders guy who infiltrated that asylum. The orgy from the last ep I've seen was something outta of the Roman Empire orgy book. Except the Duchess playing Russian Roulette. I feel terrible for the bad luck and creepy history that follows Polly and her son. And by the way: Alexander Siddig I hope he's good to Elizabeth Grey (shocked how beautiful is Pol's real name is actually)
You know I really liked the third season of Peaky Blinders, but the ending scene
Spoiler
with Tommy and his family was a WTF?! Moment unlike I've ever uttered for a TV show. It made no sense for me. Was it really like Esme said?! Was it all like Linda yelled?! What the living fuck was all that about sharing spoils then?!?! A mind fuck if I ever saw one. I could rewatch I suppose and be more aware of Tommy's outburst just to make heads or tails of what he was getting out of the whole scene, what he was trying to prove but honestly right now I'm too pissed at the writing for that! Maybe with a cooler head later on.
Lol at the "look me up if you're ever in Vienna!" Jesus Christ, that Duchess is insane! He at least gave her the sex money

Well, last scene was a cliffhanger! a very tricky one but I thought it was great and prolly the writers are counting with faithfull people like me, dammmit!!! hahahahaha nono really, I think they expect us to trust Tommy and frankly, I did.
Spoiler
I don´t think he betrayed his family,
he´d never do that TW! you of little faith. I can´t say for sure but I think
Spoiler
he made a deal with the government, maybe even Churchill, to try to clean the business?
He was trying the entire season. Maybe this whole thing with the family was nothing more than a lie but he needs to be a believable one. He always has a plan. Of that he gave us lots of proofs. Have faith, woman.

You may be right Andrea. I hope you are. You see, my wtf-ness it's because of the damn theme they ran this season.
Spoiler
It's been about Tommy losing faith with his family a little bit. Suspecting that someone betrayed him. The people in that room are the only ones who knew about the Faberge egg he got suspicious of them.
And then they had the Duchess tell him: but... you'd never steal from your family hmm, that got ME even more suspicious. and it was right the scene before the final one!
And finally he gives the money away in portions and THEN he says there is no point in getting the Shelby Co clean because they will always be seen as what they now are by their "betters" in their salons and high circles.
To top it all off, he tells them they will all be arrested in short order but leave the money with ME in safekeeping; it will all be here when you get out. So you see how all put together made me think of evil doings from Tommy... I got all mad.
Oh, almost forgot the nail in the coffin: everyone gets arrested because of bad deeds HE gave the order to be done, while he is still free as a bird
I will watch again though. From your keyboard to TPTB's pen!
I lost my faith when I believed US stood a chance against a team in Copa America semi-finals, I forget who
Loved the season but it felt like the left business to be finished and why only 6 eps? Too short imo.
Spoiler
He still should've killed Solomon, he knows about all the deals and he could use it to fuck the Shelby's in the future, Tommy needs to learn from the Duchess.
And the deal he made, was that with Churchill? I thought the whole secret club thing had Churchill behind it. Still, why not go to the even higher ups before, what took him so long? Anyways, the whole thing with the russians seemed rather unnecessary.
I don't see this as a cliffhanger at all, it's a setup for a complete new season. They finished a storyline and teased us with what next season is going to be about. Also, six is a perfect number and the golden standard of the BBC since decades. Almost all American shows would profit from shorter season spans, no way in hell would Peaky Blinders improve with more episodes.
Nah, to me that plot is still unresolved in a big way, it felt like there were episodes left, so much so i only found out about the 6 ep after i went looking for the next ep to download so i wasn't event aware that was a season finale and it sure didn't felt like one.
I am out of series too Don, except Outlander and even that is only a 3 eps that I'm behind. Some at work are watching this Preacher that Macha is asking about. May be worth taking a look when my insomnia hits.
I should find some new ones. I am kinda done with Walking Dead, the last season was bad to insulting. I might give the premiere a try, but if it does not blow me away I am done.

Preacher is super disturbing and wtf at first, but then tones down and is kinda meh. Has two interesting characters at most, but I'm watching for some actors and to see what the hell they were thinking of with the story. Sometimes it's entertaining.
I'm really liking Preacher. It doesn't blow your socks off but I pretty much enjoy all the characters from top to bottom (lmao at assface), a bit of mistery slowly building towards a payoff, very pleasant directing and cinematography, and some nice twists here and there.
Preacher is fun and some actors are really great. I even dreamed about Cassidy and remembered it It did tone down a bit but I think it needed to do so and it was better. Ep 5 had a nice unexpected twist.

Gave a shot to the show Hai was mentioning "Fortitude". Has a feel of Frago for the visuals and Broadchurch/Happy Valley as far as writing goes. it has the most unlikely duo Stanley Tucci & Richard Dormer leading the cast but some solid all around acting from all involved. The relationships are intricate, the plot is good so far and I just find myself surprised at how little it is promoted this side of the ocean. Nice find Hai

I have never seen a show taking such a nosedive in quality in one single season, watcher beware.
I've seen only the first 3 eps and it's pretty good. besides I've always liked Stanley Tucci. So for me it's a win at this point. I'm also not the harshest critic either.
I really liked Fortitude at first because of Tucci and Dormer and Grabol and cinematography and some other stuff until I couldn´t anymore though I tried really hard to keep liking it.

So THAT's why they keep showing in an ominous manner the remains the two idiots keep in that storage I thought it must be something of the kind since the characters keep mentioning that you cannot die of disease and be buried in Fortitude cause bodies don't decay and viruses won't disappear. Gotta be that one Japie!
From what I've been reading online, S2 won't be about the mammoth thingy stuff (but who knows).
But S1 has had those references to two-headed reindeer foetuses (or whatever they are) and demons haunting the herd?! Maybe they'll go somewhere with that. Maybe they won't.
Just have lots of Sheriff Dan & I'll be happy :)
Hell, I even watched that episode of The Musketeers that Dormer guest starred in.
My God! I've finally reached ep 8. What a disgusting mess it is I mean disgusting not the way it is written or acted or directed because while I agree it didn't keep up with the first eps I don't find it bad, but OMG the virus is disgusting :vomit: I do see why the last eps will be a let down compared to the rest. It will be extremely difficult to explain the virus itself being self aware. How the hell does that pile of goo, the IT know what it needs to do to survive. I'm assuming that's why it tried to go into the dead abdominal cavity... I'm disgusted just writing about it! I'm sticking with it tho. Love Tucci and Dormer and the girls from the police station
That link is scary Hai. I mean if they adapted the fungus to inhabit humans instead of ants. I still don't get why some get infected and some don't. I mean the guys that found the mammoth seemed for the longest time to display absolutely no symptoms. But Shirley and the boy went down like flys! Shirley in fact got sick almost in the same ep! Jason has absolutely nothing for the length of the season Anyway, I can't believe Henry. Son of a gun, that scene on the glacier with him and DCI Morrton was so unexpected! Shit! I was startled when the gun went off and had no idea who got shot for 30 sec

well, you know the way that there's some people who always get bitten by mosquitos / chased by bees when the others are fine...
... and Sheriff Dan wrestling with his conscience!!! that was scarier.
Russian bastard fell straight in. I was hoping it was over, but at least it's Putin's problem now, Hai They were not clear if the girl survived the stabbing, but it seems like Elena has a shot, as well as the intern who burned Doc. Mayor and Eric patched up their problems, so at least something positive in the finale. It looked like a closed storyline indeed and they will probably focus on the genetic changes of those animal fetuses next season.

It will still be a while but at least it got a set date after all this pushing it back We'll see what will come of it. I'm now skeptical after the last few fails for shows that got so much hype and "grand" names behind it. It's no guarantee of anything these days.

I'll definitely give Westworld a try. If nothing else, with folks like Anthony Hopkins and Ed Harris in it, there's bound to be some damn fine acting.
Maybe no one else has checked out Aquarius, but I'm enjoying it. It took a bit for me to get into it, and at first I had a tough time accepting Gethin Anthony as Charles Manson, but he's definitely won me over. Oh, and I was quite pleasantly surprised by his singing voice!

I saw "The Girlfriend Experience", it was quite good. About a girl that decides to delve into the world of high class escort services. They shot it so it felt very voyeuristic and dark...give it a shot!

Ed Harris "What if I tell you I'm here to set you free?!" I lost my shit right there. I simply love his style and acting. Didn't realize how loaded with high caliber actors this series will be. Fingers crossed it doesn't disappoint.
