So Narcos: I loved the whole 6 eps I've watched. I cannot remember a series that reminded me of a good movie quite like this one. I couldn't believe Pedro Pascal is in it he kills it. Good writing, excellent use of documentary material and the guy playing Escobar is very talented. He is menacing without being obvious. Dangerous subtle bastard. Learnt a lot about that age and cocaine too!
I've missed the last couple of episodes (it went on a break, and I forgot to tune back in when it started back up), but plan on watching them, well, I was going to watch them over this long weekend, but got caught up in The Night Of. I finished it last night, and I definitely enjoyed it. The guy who plays Detective Box, well, I'll just say I was so thrilled to see him have such a huge role. He's been working his ass off for years, and if anyone deserves great success, he definitely does (he just got nominated for his first Tony this year, too).

I've seen it Yvy. Both seasons. I thought it was good. Both Gillian and Jaime Dornan were perfect, him especially as Spector the murderous bastard. I heard they were renewing for season 3 but I don't think anything came out of it.

Seen next two Eps of season three ... so guess they are ... Sooooooooo freaking scared he's gonna get off !!!OMG this is the best show on at any given time right now 😂 that didn't even make sense !!!
YvyB! So they did renew This also goes on my list to see, by I don't think they put it up on Netflix yet. If that bastard gets off there's no justice in the world.
You all should watch Better things. Pamela Adlon and Louie CK, except Louis only writes here (or directs? forgot). It gets better by the minute.
hahahaha just hear this from some bulgarian guy (not Flowered ) :"I have a way to cook chicken that makes meat falls of the bone"

Not sure if it was mentioned before but The Night Of wss a good show that was aired as filler between GOT and Westworld, i read they will air it again now.
An end has come to Rectify, the most overlooked show of the 2010's. Can't get much closer to perfection than this show.
best show on tv. I`m going to miss it terribly. And I already forgot the last 30 seconds (omg).

It sort of reminded me of Breaking Bad in that the main character had to undergo a transformation between ep1 and the final episode (physically and mentally), though not to the extreme of Walter White. The story is also compelling and kept me guessing to the last few minutes.
I don't know what is up with everyone doing bad British red jackets against badass heroes but I approve I have Tabboo down to try when it airs on FX and this one on Jan 20.
I fiiiiiiiiiiiiinally got around to watching the second season of Happy Valley. It was glorious, I wonder if there's been a better character on tv these past ten years than Catherine fucking Cawood.
Well, out of the new series I've tried I think I'll stick with The Man In The High Castle for now. It is a bit too dramatic, how else could it be though consider the subject (alternative universe where Nazi won the war and US is split between Japan and the 3rd Reich), it has good story, pretty good acting and an interesting vibe. Anyone else watching it?
Oh wow! Don, some of the actors I'm seeing on that trailer are from Justified. Constable Bob, Raylan. I can't stand Drew Barrymore for some reason but that's just me.
Timothy Olyphant was actually the funniest on the show. I know him mostly from his dramatic/villainous roles, so him being a bumbling husband was kinda hilarious.

Woah! YvyB That's some trailer. Had no idea Hulu made their own original series. Looks quite interesting and the period setting is just fantastic for me. Will give it a shot when I get around to it, later in the year.
Recommend The Expanse. Again. Second season pulls no punches. It's first season squared in terms of production, script, visuals and rhythm. It doesn't let you breathe. Except in the last ep. Sort of. Well done, SyFy and James S. A. Corey :applause:
Yeah they are being written and I am sure they will all go through the pilot phase, after that we see what sticks.
The ASOIAF lore is vast enough that a prequel series might work well, we shall see.

I'm not sure they'd make 4 pilots, but maybe. I like the prospect of having more Westeros onscreen, and I'm far less concerned about quality than I would be were it another network attempting a spin-off.

Neat, JapieQ! Didn’t know when it begins again.
I’m watching season 3 of Broadchurch. David Tennant is just as good as I remember and so’s Olivia Hanson(?). Though I gotta say it is mightily conveniently that Bethis the rape response rep that handles this sexual assault case from a social worker perspective. I mean. I really really wanted the old season to be done and it looks like no. They’ll drag the Joe Miller/ Danny murder back on. I don’t know what good will that do.

Finished episode 6. Yeah, looks like the season 1 arc is finally resolved this season.

It sure was Cary! My God. What a twist. I couldn’t believe who the murderer was I mean sure enough the blue twine guy was weird and his girlfriend clearly was lying for him but the other one I wouldn’t have figured it out in a million years. Good and sad twist. Tragic really.
Also recommend Godless. Haven’t seen such a good new western in a long time. It almost rivals Deadwood right now in my preference! Though it has a completely different feel to it. Jeff Daniels kills it and so does the Downtown Abby actress. In fact the whole cast was outstanding.

Rapist rather than murder, that is.
Godless, huh? We'll start watching that today.
