So I recently watched all of them again, from episode I until VI and now they are also making more, starring Brienne too :)
I liked all of them, except II was a little boring. Anakin's transformation into Vader was great (my opinion), the pod race in I remains a standout and so does Obi Wan and Kwai Gon's duel with Darth Maul. Everything about the old ones were good and my favourites remain Han Solo, R2 and everything about Return of the Jedi.
I can't believe there's no thread for this yet gngngngngngngnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Thoughts?

Note: Renamed this thread Episode I -VI, since it's dedicated to the entire series, and there's was an already ongoing discussion on Episode VII here.
I rewatched all the episodes a couple of years ago when Mr Macha finally agreed to watch them (This and LOtR ), but I don't think I could ever go through them again, not unless we catch one on TV one night. They're fun but oh so cheesy.
I am glad you managed to enjoy episodes I-III but I found them abominations. Lucas managed to turn classy thespians like Portman and McGregor into wooden actors with his over reliance on green screen and lack of interest in improving the dialogue.
He also completely missed the boat with Darth Maul. The character was gold and was killed off far too prematurely.
Don't get me started on Hayden Christensen.
Between the Pod Racing, racist alien characters, Anakin and childish droids Lucas was able to completely poop over his whole legacy and the original trilogy. I heard somewhere the Lucas actually said he was looking forward to the day when he wouldn't need to deal with actors, that should tell you everything you need to know about the man. Thank god he's no longer in charge of Star Wars.

Not gonna lie - the lake "love" scene in Episode II is probably one of the worst scenes in cinematic history. There is no chemistry at all, and I'd blame the actors for bad acting but the deeper root of the problem is that the prequels just suck.
Well I'm honestly on the fence about a lot of things that people hated and some things I agree with. The prequals came out just as I was entering my teenage years, so I kind of liked them at fourteen going up, lol. But LOTR, Harry Potter, definitely better.

That "I Know" was all Harry. Lucas, ever the cheese dick, had Han reply I Love You Too. Harry said fuck that, its not in character, and replied EXACTLY as he should.

Rogue One is the best Star Wars film since Jedi. The characters may be forgettable, but I loved it.
This! Enjoyed it very much. Made me feel a bit like my old, very old, little self.
