Try planking on a plank while chewing on plankton.

I dunno, Ry. While plankton seems like a high-protein snack at first glance, seeing the effect it has on the physique of whales makes me reluctant to go there. *blubberbutt*

I hate planks but I hate pull ups more. I think I'm going to keep on swimming. Maybe I'll try that Pilates app. Will let Basi try first

Planks are a bitch. Remember your form: keep you butt DOWN! After holding it as long as you can, rip off a bunch of sit ups, plank again and repeat until you feel like throwing up. I've read plenty of literature from training experts that planking, crunches and whatnot do actually fuck-all for losing tummy fat. And ... they are right.

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHHAAAHA! Suck it, fatties!

I still did them anyway, because it makes you sweat.

Weighted lunges for the win, but if your form is shit you aren't doing anything beneficial. Just begging for a back injury.

And cut the carbs. I've heard the best cardio workout is rollerblading, but you won't catch me dead on a pair of those.

You mean to tell me no one is this thread espoused the virtues of losing belly fat through abdominal work-outs alone? Are you sure? Maybe you should read the posts again because this thread is full of that misinformation.

<-- also not good for belly fat, but you're so entertaining.

Way to go, TW! You're our mermaid mascot. I skipped today's workout. Dolan, you still got that paddle handy? I've been bad.

It's been going well.  I've managed not to hurt myself yet.  Just got home, so no midday workout today.  That means I have to do it TONIGHT.

"I've managed not to hurt myself yet." Basi that doesn't inspire confidence!

I'm thinking of doing more than swimming at the gym but I never got enough time unfortunately. And half of those machines I wouldn't know how to use anyway. Maybe I'll go in the middle of the night when there's no one around and fiddle with the damn things, so no one will laugh at me for being a catastrophe. teehee

Yeah, it would be worthwhile to set up a single session with a personal trainer so that they can show you proper settings and stuff. Joint alignment can be important.

Yes, I'm injury-prone. I tend to overdo it and get tendonitis and other overuse injuries. I can't exercise in moderation, so I have to tell myself to slow down and not push too hard. It's always been an issue for me.

Dolan, it's paid sessions. And the fitness club I got a membership for is pricey for personal trainer.

Unlike you, Basi, I always give up right when I feel it gets tough. I have to tell myself to do one more push up or pull up because I haven't done enough and it will not kill me.
